i think it all depends on the area you’re in. The first shop i started at the area had a lot of kids between middle school - college & EVERYONE would want a super crispy, even lineup even if u had to match a side that was a little lighter by pushing it back. The shop im at now is a older whiter area ( for lack of better description ) & a lot of the people i cut now have never even had a lineup to go with their haircuts

This question is for any barber out there that can answer. I’m about to be 35 and I’m stuck at 60k per year at a BS corporate job I hate. Do y’all think it’s too late for me to be a successful barber ? I figure I will be 37 before I get established. I feel like it would be a fun career change, but do y’all think the money would honestly be there for a old head like me?
Yes completely but you have to put the work in and it give up, give it a year to really start getting good and seeing the money roll in. The more hair you cut the better too , around 300 heads you can master your technique.

Yo Chris I have a question so I see a lot of barbers use a ring light for better lighting. I have epilepsy seizures so really bright LED lights usually hurt my eyes my head and may cause a seizure. Should I use it while I’m cutting or just turn it on after the cut to see the details in the cut?
