I used to work on a company with a big vinyl cutter to decorate vans and windows on shops. When I saw your machine I thought: how cute 😊. You made me remember those years.
Here in the states, US cutters is a great resource for larger size vinyl cutters and supplies. I payed about $400 for 36”/900mm machine that handles larger, much more economical rolls of heat-press and sticker vinyl. It payed for itself on its very first job.....8 yrs ago😎 Great for paint masking too......but currently busy making custom heat-pressed face masks.......”This is the way” is one of our best sellers🥰
Wow, I didn't know they have cutters so cheap! I still have my 48" cutter from when I owned a sign company. I still need to sell it. Cool that you are doing a video about this! Thanks Lee!!! :)
If the cutter is out of your price range ,and you own a 3D printer. There are several adapters on thingyverse for plotter pens to attach to your print head.A bit of messing with your Z off set and it works as long has your bed is perfectly horizontal.
if you spritz the transfer paper with a bit of glass cleaner after application, it turns to goo and pulls straight off after a couple minutes. great when you have small details that stay stuck to the transfer backing.
How do you get multi-color decals? (Like the Painless 360 red, blue with the white letters?) - Is that cut as parts from different sheets that you then have to try and line up? Thanks
I just print on laminate with my ink jet printer and then cut precisely and heat laminate. Can make anything this way cheap and any colourful image too which this plotter cutter wouldn’t be able too. Cheers from canada
The Brother Design 'n Cut was a great budget Cricut alternative for only $100. Sadly, it seems they've discontinued it in favor of the more expensive Scan 'n Cut. :(
We used to use masking tape as the transfer film back in the day with racing cars. Where do you get your vinyl? I have an old cutter in the cupboard somewhere I might drag it out, unfortunately all the places where I'd usually get vinyl from locally have gone bust...
I could not catch the name of who you bought the business edition from, would you mind giving details please. Also, have you made any more videos using the cutter
@@Painless360 thank you for such a quick response, you mentioned a name in your video of a source to buy the software upgrade. Do you have any details as I could not catch the name.
Personally really dislike the software that comes with these. forced to install alot of things because they dont work from standard formats. pay extra again .... very "modern" approach ..... So for me its the old fashioned way I went, china hardware and open source software inkscape hpgl. Even with plotter blade on cnc router it is possible to make decals and shirt transfers .

Always..
Lee, what have you done! Because of you I've invested in a Silhouette Portrait and can't stop cutting vinyl!

I get mine on Amazon. The choice on colors and matters is huge.
Hi Lee, I have a sign shop and quite a lot of offcuts of vinyl if you’d like some posted down.
I want that thing

I've not made any more videos on it, let me know if there is something specific you want to see..

No idea, this was ages ago. A quick search on Etsy will get you current sellers.
I still would like to have details like from a real combat aircraft on my planes. Like screw, etc... details
How strange is that, I just brought a cricket joy to print my OP Licence for the side of my planes, plus any other cool sticker. 👍🏻
What's the origin of the Painless 360 name and logo?
Check out the video I did on the 6th August 2018 when I passed 100,000 subs. I cover it all in there.. Happy flying
@@Painless360 you truly have a video for everything! Thanks and happy flying to you as well!
