That tapestry look is freaking beautiful. I unfortunately do not live anywhere near the land of milk and honey, so I began a tapestry of sorts by using winter hardy sedums, sempervivums, and other ground cover plants. It has been filling out extremely well, and now have friends getting into the same landscape design. I contribute it all to team DFS, and always give credit where credit is due!
Even some things don't happen in the land of milk and honey that do happen in other places 😊 I haveno problem rooting bloom spikes and getting pups from them. Especially pvn.... One of the only things tho lol. Love me some mrs eubanks ❤❤❤
Hi Laura, your son’s garden is growing so beautifully! It would be super helpful if you could show us how you treat the aloe mite on the Ferox. I for one would love to learn! Enjoy your family time and happy birthday to your son!
I say yes removing the branch on the palo verde. It’ll give more strength to the other branches and will grow faster and do it now before the summer stress hits in, it’ll be healed by then
One of my favorite things to do is cut and reset the rubertinktum. I also love to take a bunch of them off the plant a watch them grow into plants at the base of the leggy ones. They are very fast to regrow!
How time flies! The first installation hads been one of my favorites...the big one has really grown since I got to see it in person when I brought you the apron!
Desert willow does not really know how to be a tree. We had to discipline them very strictly in El Paso, the wild type, not Destert Museum. Removing that branch is necessary to balance it ! Go for it!! Oh, and what a success of design and planting!!
I've had 2 Mangaves rot - one in the ground (Bloodlines) and one in a pot (Queen of the Night) ... but both were crown rot (from the top) and not root rot.
QUESTION? Is it possible to have a Succulent and cactui garden on the Eastern Shore, Zone 7a? By the way LOVE YOUR WORK! I have been binge watching ALL your videos. I even ordered 2- trays of succulents from Mountain Crest. Can’t wait to watch you work March 10th. UpdateDARN! Sold out!! Space for one more. PLEASE!!!!
Hi Laura! Great videos. I’m learning a lot about succulents and have started a small garden. I want to ask the name of the two taller spiked desert-looking trees at the beginning of the video. They are close to the sunbursts near front walkway. One has dried leaves at the bottom of it and the other does not and is full and round. What is the name of those? I have maybe three that look like they are dried and dying from bottom almost to the top tips. Any suggestions on what type of treatment for them? Thanks in advance.

I had them start at the leaf tip and work it's way back. Too much rain in Norcal
