- Hey Commanders, this time we're going over how The Defensive Wall mechanic works in Last War, what it means, how to take advantage of it, and how to lean into your preferences.
Yeah that literally happen to me this morning. 23000 troops gone fast
I lost over 20000 last night in a blink of an eye. Couldn't transport out fast enough.
Not having troops on the wall means ~500 t10 units killed/attack from your idle troops in the drill ground (more if lower lvl troops), if you defend with any squad but still get breached, same happens + hospital fills up and enemy gets more points too. Best way is to either make sure you can succesfully defend even with 2 squads, most your troops will just end up in hospital, and low number gets actually killed, or TP away. A proper read through of a good battle report tells you all this info, what units killed, where, how, hospital or no.
So if I get attacked by a stronger player and can’t tp, should I pull all defense from wall or should I keep defenders on the wall? I want to minimize lost troops
@kmtg705 depends how strong the attacker is. If you can succesfully defend, put troops on wall, if you have no chance, take them off and suffer the loss of drill ground kills. Bases go down after 10 attacks, meaning ~5k troops lost max

Is it better to have air formations as defenders, since most attack with tanks or is the total power of a formation the important factor? You evidently have tanks in front, but what if both where the same power and how much does the opposite troop type factor in?
It depends, where is your server in the timeline? Pre-season, Season 1, Season 2?

@@DonJupp321 As for the other parts, "Is it best to have your air as a defense team?" It depends on what you mean by 'best.' The strongest defense at your stage will be having a very strong air team as your front line of defense. This would also be your best offense as most folks around that time are building tank teams, as you correctly mentioned. But it's the cost. Investing in air that early is going to be tough because you'll either fall way behind because you'll be spending all your resources into catching up with your air team OR you'll be spending money to keep your tank team competitive AND build up your air team at the same time.
I'm heading into S2 and (while I have been taking my time because I'm not in a rush), my Air team is just arriving at the point where it's coming together. I also made the choice not to focus on it and continue focusing on tanks, simply because I'm a low-to-mid spender and I didn't want to fall behind or spend much more than I already was.
@BigHairGaming I have the same problem now, that focusing on air would mean high costs, if I want to switch it as my main truck. However what I am curious about is, if the troop type advantage of air is enough in defence, even if my formation is not upgraded that much yet?
As you explained in your other video, 5 x tanks will give 20% boost, but that would be negated if it's attacking an air formation right (20% - 20%)? And if that air formation has 5 x air heros, they will give another 20% boost. So can a 4 star air formation + 20%, beat a 5 star tank formation?

Waterfall technique. Where you have barracks spread out for level 7/8/9/10 troops. You only train the lowest troops so you can build up a bunch to train for total mobilization day! As you let your training speedups build up through the week you also got some low level troops to build up
