Granted, it was the 1960s, but I paid about $5 for a new straight key, and about $20 for a used bug. These days keys of all kinds are outrageously expensive, since they're just a switch or two.
my thoughts exactly. I did take another look at amazon and found one for about $9 but I'm not sure of the quality of it.
