There are lots of professionals showing up in this video and I applaud them. The scenery Marcus captured is incredible. "Amateur" Randy's video is subtle yet effective, and David's artistry using the raw product is easy to overlook. We never see David with a rifle so we tend not to see him like we do Marcus since he's never seen on camera, but David is the asset I notice when I watch and shed a tear with Andy. Thanks David. I notice.
It’s great to know our viewers are paying attention to these finer details. You’re right, David's artistry is a critical part of our journey.
Super video guys!! What a chain of events, CRAZY man. Congrats on a great ram, with having the misfortune the prior day had to have an impact on the confidence to squeeze the trigger again. The scenery, camp, horses, outdoor cooking and spotting so much game is pretty impressive to watch.
Thanks. Glad it came across that way.
Thanks Randy and Marcus, that was a great hunt and y'all did a great job capturing not only the scenery but the very essence of the hunt and camping experience. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I appreciate you saying that - we put a lot of effort into capturing the whole experience.
This is great, really great! The suspense you built up with your editing, the jaw-dropping B-roll, the failure of the first try. What a story, what a storytelling. Great job!
Thanks, we appreciate you recognizing the effort that goes into crafting this story. Marcus is amazing at capturing a story and seeing it in his mind.
This is one of, if not the best, RUclips video series I've ever seen! I could feel the shock wave at the shot... Extraordinary footage, the effort to make this happen, the overwhelming feeling of success that you could see in there faces.. it's why we as families hunt together, every single person in that group, exactly at the moment, became one family. Take someone hunting before it's to late.
You nailed it! Hunting is about more than just the hunt.
What a picture perfect ending with the full rainbow shot. Starting to believe he is the luckiest/most blessed man on that mountain.
Andy would proclaim he is the luckiest man on the mountain. I think we all felt we were the most blessed man around, while getting to hunt the Mackenzies.
BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY BEAUTIFUL PHTOGRAPHY. THX AND CONGRATS.
Great attitudes. Great folks. Great place. Great hunt. Great meat. Great memories.
Thanks. Glad to see that so many enjoyed this hunt.
Thats what i want to know how was that roast😅
Me too 😅
Me too 😅
I stopped the video to tell my wife about the roast. Now she is asking about it. What the heck?
Excellent. Sorry we didn’t show much more of that. The sheep hunt and rifle drama took over.
Looking forward to the next episode of this dream! If there ever was a happy hunting ground this looks like the place.
It would be the happiest of all hunting grounds I've ever been a part of.
Well done chaps, great comeback, beautiful footage
Thanks for following along. A bit more to come.
Wow, that’s incredible! I never imagined your gun would bend from a horse lying on it. I get why it happened, but I never thought that scenario would occur. You handled it so well and didn’t let it ruin your hunt or experience. That’s awesome!
We've been on two horseback hunts in Canada. Both times a horse wreck has bent a barrel.
Holy smokes!!!! What a video! I can only imagine the stories told at camp!!
Believe me, there were plenty of stories shared around the fire. It was so fun to see a great guy like Andy get rewarded for his effort and determination.
WOW!!! What a story!! Absolutely Fantastic!! Beautiful country great job Marcus capturing it. Way to keep at it and keep calm. Things always work out!
Glad you liked it. Jason, Andy, and Marcus made a great team and ended up with an amazing story.
Each episode just makes me more anxious for the next one. Great hunting in great country with great people.
Glad to hear that. We have one more episode for this hunt and I think you'll like that one, also.
What an experience…thank you for sharing it with us. Never been that far north. But if the country is like other beautiful places Ive been it’s probably much more amazing than the cameras can capture (and your cameras captured a LOT).
It really is!
@@Fresh_Tracks Are you guys gonna post on how the sheep roast tasted? I was really interested in what you guys thought about the flavor of wild sheep, and especially cooking it that way!
Absolutely beautiful videography, an amazing hunt captured wonderfully by skillful Marcus.
He's truly talented, and a great guy.
Perfect title... Unbelievable how that worked out. I bet Marcus is still sore but got to film Andy's hunt of a lifetime. Can't wait to see what's next.
You got it, Andy had a hunt for the ages. Hang around and you'll get to see what happened before we left NWT.
A truly awesome hunt. Congratulations!
I'd like to see this guy included in the future. Great hunt!
The vistas. Absolutely amazing. Oh Canada!
Yes, beautiful, beyond words.
"OH CANADA, our home and native land. True patriot ........." Having grown up on the Canadian border and only having Canadian TV until age 12, I think I know the Canadian anthem was well as most Canadians.
Marcus got some amazing camera shots this whole trip, thanks Marcus you made the video
He’s the best in the business.
Excellent video.
Another great video!!!!
Great series!
What a hunt, to have a horse bend your rifle barrel, borrow Randy's gun and get such a great Ram. Congrats.
This hunt was one for the books.
Envious of your adventures!
What an awesome hunt ! Cool story with the guns being used for the others sheep. Randy should let him have that rifle 😎. Great rams !
If he wants it, it's his. I used it this fall to take a Wyoming whitetail and an Arizona Coues deer. I'd hate to see it go, but for Andy, I'd give it to him.
@ yeah I figured you were that nice of a guy, but the more I think about it, keeping his bent one may be a more unique story with his ram 🤷🏻♂️ either way that worked out with some great memories and trophies ! Congrats to both 😎
Never leave your rifle on a horse unattended.
Andy, where I'm from, we would have the horse lay on the rifle the second time, only on the opposite side, to restraighten the barrel!
But, I guess borrowing another rifle works too! 😁
Regardless, that is some absolutely beautiful country and gorgeous ram! Great camera work to capture it!
Glad you enjoyed it. Stay tuned for more.
Awesome hunt!! Well done!
Appreciate it! We’re glad you enjoyed it!
Congratulations!
Thank you! Andy deserved it.
Awesome stuff! 👌 😊
Outstanding Congrats
Glad you enjoyed it.
A smidge high & left!
Ok Andy, will cut you some slack for passing that first Ram. Congrats on a great Ram!!!
Yeah, when he came back with that ram, it relieved my concern that he had doubts about passing the first ram. He made the right choice.
15FT HIGH AND 15FT TO THE LEFT YOU CAN SEE DIRT POP UP ON THE 3 SHOT
congratulation a beautiful ram , thank you for sharing and letting all of us know check your gun barrel and make sure its straight , hard won but what a nice trophy with great memories , Marcus do you know in Alberta we have a Tag called the Ministry Tag ust in Alberta for 4 big game , all proceded go to big game preservation , moose , elk, deer , sheep , next year antelope and turkey will be added ,
First sheep said to the second sheep.."Hey Ralph, did you hear that thunder? And not a cloud in the sky."...🤔
Is Andy getting a new barrel for his rifle or is it cheaper buying a new one? Great job shows a lot of emotion.
Not sure. It would be cheaper to order a Howa barreled action from Brownell's and drop that into the stock.
I saw the 7mm-08 on instagram and was wondering what happened! Good thing there's more than one rifle in camp hahaa
How strange that I shot my ram with Andy's rifle and he ended up shooting his ram with my rifle.
@Fresh_Tracks my heart sank when I saw those bullet impacts. I'm glad the whole team can bring these adventures together. You guys are amazing.
Randy I for one would never have blamed you, even if I had to eat a raw roast. And I'm not particularly fond of mutton 😅 It would have been just the way a liked it 😅 Awesome hunt. Memories for a lifetime. What incredibly beautiful country. And a wolverine to boot. Randy and Andy, it was a fair trade? 😅
Glad you enjoyed the episode, the NWT is truly amazing country. The roast was excellent. We ate my entire sheep before this hunt was over. It's way better than "domestic mutton."
Beautiful rams 🐏 on an awesome journey. Are you sure that Randy didn't bend that barrel after using the rifle 😅?
Shhhhh. 🤣 🤣
This is all Crown land right Randy? I wanna camp!
yeah
Are those Kenetrek boots quiet on the rocks?
Seems that way, whatever degree the person wearing them is able to stalk quietly.
Bent barrel? First time I've heard that😅.
We’ve been on two horseback hunts. Both times someone be up with a bent barrel from a horse wreck.
Beautiful ram how old and length please?
Just a fraction under 40". Tooth aging came back at 8-10. There was damage to the tooth, so they couldn't age with the normal precision. The guides counted 10 rings, so I suspect a ram of this size and length was likely 10.
THEY DON'T MAKEM LIKE THEY USE TOO!
What caliber of rifle did you guys use on this hunt?
They clearly say in the videos what caliber and rifle were used.....
@ I don’t recall them mentioning the caliber in this video. Only that they killed using each others rifle. May have in a previous video,
24:20 of this vid they post bullet, caliber, etc in bottom left. Same in other video, just prior to shot they post the info.
Wish I had $80,000 to do a sheep hunt
I wish you had the money for a sheep hunt. They are expensive, but your number is more than double what this hunt cost.
I’m hunting w a pup tent and a beater ford ranger my friends landlord gave me!!! Over the counter tags and LEH longshots…. Managed to get meat in the freezer again this year!… don’t let what you cant do stop you from doing what you can!
Canada's God country North West Territory
That's for sure.
Dam a horse bent the barrel , that sucks
Way high left
What the heck? How was the sheep roast?
Better than you could imagine.
Anyone say you look like Gary Sinise
What good hunter doesn't check their rifle after a horse lays on it. I've check mine several times for far less🤔
Shit happens. He said he was able to pull the rifle out of the scabbard while the horse was still laying down. Maybe not a good assumption, but I may have made the same one...the horse did not lay on rifle if there is no weight on it. Hindsight is everything...this makes for a better story.
Rookie mistake, first thing is take your rifle off the horse.
Hey It’s a Leupold it can never lose zero! Lmao!
You dumbass, you heard him kicking himself. Making a dumb mistake doesn't make him a bad hunter, it just means he's human.
so strange a barrel could get smashed like that, that's chinese steel for ya.
Kind of silly they are using "American" made rifles.. So explain that
howa rifles are not made in the US.
@nrspence8258 they also aren't Chinese made..
The barrels are.
Wanna bet on that Chinese statement?
On our last horseback hunt, a guy in camp had a different brand of rifle that got bent in a horse wreck. Would that be "cheap Utah steel?"
Horses are liability, not the first time they fucked up a hunt.
