- Welcome to the HUNT film series of The Experience Project. This video series will document the three Alaska hunts we completed in the fall of 2024, for caribou, moose, and mountain goat.
After killing three bulls and shuttling a lot of meat in the previous days of this hunt, the guys are tired but still have work to do. They head up the mountain on a mission to fill the final caribou tag. And they also have all 3 racks from the other bulls still up there. Can they fill the final tag? And if they do, can they pack another bull and 4 racks down the mountain in one trip?

Hands down one of the best hunt series on RUclips in a LONG time! Incredible film work showing the entire hunt story, not just the kill shot! Thanks for bringing us along! Stoked to see the rest of the season.
“What a FUCKIN’ day, boys!”
This moment was captured so well, as was the rest of this series so far. Looking forward to the bear gauntlet footage from the moose hunt!
I think we need to make this into a T - Shirt! - Steve
Fantastic camera work. Awesome.
You guys are bad asses. Great series can't wait to see how the rest of it goes.
This has been awesome to watch! Great work fellas!!
Great shot! Great bull! Steve’s recap made me tired just listening! Thanks for taking us along!
Amazing series fellas.
Great filming of an awesome adventure
Epic series fellas. Best I’ve seen and I’ve watched hours. Well done. Congratulations!
Great series! I cannot wait to get back to Alaska.
I’ve been loving this series! Awesome camera work, and adventure level is off the charts! A hunt like this would be the pinnacle of my hunting life
Great job guy’s, and great video series! Can’t wait for the next one!
A few observations from the cheap seats; 1) Great production…I’m hooked on the Experience Project for sure 2) Consider stacking lodge poles along both sides of the meat…I’ve had success with the falling logs being enough to scare curious bears away 3) For Steve…this video is proof that the 7 reigns over the 6…much more ethical kill…or maybe Mark is just a better shot 😂!
What a hell ofa hunt guys, great job and awesome job filming, i love that u are showing everything after the kill aswel 👌
Major congrats and thanks to everyone involved, and a special shoutout to the editors. I've been trying to put my finger on what's made this series stand out so much and I think a big part is the pacing - near perfect blend of showing (what seems to be) every significant event, decision, and emotion of the hunt without ever making it feel like it was dragging on or disingenuous.
Appreciate that. Justin gets all of the credit for the filming and editing!
Great story telling for an amazing hunt. Well done!
Awesome shot. Crazy pack out. And looking forward to seeing the pack raft float out. amazing series guys.
Congrats Mark! All 3 episodes have been fantastic. Looking forward to the next big time!
That was a great series. Well done guys and congratulations on some great Bulls. I am looking forward to the next episode.
What a journey guys and such hard work you all have done just amazing guys wonderful video.
Great shot in that wind Mark. I think I'm sold on 7mm. The physical toll of your journey was evident here. Even more props for that. Episode 3 - nailed it!
The 6mm has more hydrostatic shock 🤣.
I am absolutely loving these videos team. Big respect
You four are absolutely amazing! I stand in awe!! Thanks and best...pops
Holy smokes, gonna be hard to top that adventure and success! Probably better try though🤣🤣thx for sharing!! oh- congrats Mark👍
I am so stoked to run my new K4 3600 on my next hunt! After watching your goat hunt video i was sold. Keep up the great work!!
Such an awesome adventure. Thank-you for sharing this. A great way to show the full hunt. Just got my pack here in New Zealand, and can’t wait to go fill it with venison.
Very good series guys. Thank you !
I have never seen one party with all monster caribou, very well done.
You guys are crazy!
You guys are animals!!! Freakin awesome!!!!
Hard to watch other people on your dream hunt but I just can’t stop watching. Wish I could afford to go hunt caribou but it’s going to take a while to save up for that
You guys definitely do a good job getting it all on camera and putting the videos together makes it even more enjoyable to watch
Envious, envious, envious. Would like to see a posting of all the gear you used.
Awwww c’mon guys! I have Christmas shopping to do. 🤦🏻♂️.
Mehhh…. I got 6 days till Christmas. Screw it! I’ll shop later. Grabbing a beer and watch part 3!😉👍
Damn! Mark, you are an absolute stud! What a shot!!! I hope these videos squash any idea of you being that “5 foot 5 inch vegan that petitions Starbucks” 😂😂
I can sum this episode up in 4 words.
“What a Fukn Day!”
@@billydevoss1173 Glad to have some visual evidence to contradict the short vegan rumor. haha! -Mark
LOL and you got the double-shovel.
Oh the work. Uhhhh! Just don’t think about it and go hunt!
Good job
nice
Awesome video! 2-questions what puffy are you guys wearing and who makes that inreach pack holder?? Thanks
Prototype puffy jackets from Outdoor Vitals that should be available summer-ish 2025. The Inreach holder is our own product: exomtngear.com/collections/k4-accessories/products/k4-inreach-mini-holder
What puffies were you wearing near the end of the vid? They look great. I know their Outdoor Vitals but are they a new unreleased jacket? Great vid, as always!
Yes, a prototype from Outdoor Vitals
What’s the small mat you guys were using to sit on and putting your arm down on when you were shooting?
With the quick tip at the beginning about sleeping in your clothes to get them to dry. Are you using a down or synthetic sleep system?
To answer your question as a general statement it doesn't really matter, both down and synthetic will work just fine to dry out your clothes. In extremely wet climates synthetic would perform better over a long duration hunt but those situations are so rare that 99% of the time we use down sleeping quilts. On this specific hunt I was using the Katabatic Alsek 22 down quilt. - Steve
Hope the meat went to good use.
Absolutely it did, ate Caribou Tacos just last night and have steaks thawed out to cook tonight. The Caribou meat is excellent!
Do you use your Garmin watch, OnX phone app or something for tracking your route in unknown country?
onX Hunt app on iPhone
Which Anetik layer are y'all wearing?
I believe it's called the low pro tech hoody. I was very happy with it's performance but its obviously a very light breathable layer that isn't designed to be beat up too much on a hunting trip. That being said despite some pilling of the fabric it did fine. - Steve
@ Thanks for the info Steve, and for sharing everything through the Experience Project.
