      Exactly what I was thinking. I think the end was total rubbish, there will never be a moment in this war when russians say "damn, we can't get this thing close enough to the front line because there are no roads and the terrain is too difficult everywhere to get any closer".

    An anti tank weapon might defeat the Malva... but which vehicle exactly can you point to that is not vulnerable to anti tank weapons? The Malva is not like western artillery pieces which are more like gold plated sniper rifles. They have great range but fire 100 rounds a day and they break. Malva is a mobile cost effective machine gun for delivering large volumes of ammo to enemy positions. Looking at it from behind the guy on the left has an LCD screen with a video showing the target area and he can punch in the target coordinates before they arrive at the firing position. They stop and put the legs down and the gun will point at the target and he can fire a few shells and watch the results and if necessary move away, or fire some more. With conventional shells also used by the MSTA it can reach 24-29km depending on the type of round with laser homing Krasnopol hitting targets at about 23km. With the satellite guided Krasnopol-M it can hit point targets at 43km range, which is plenty for a cheap high numbers machine gun intended to put enemy troops under heavy fire. They might be able to fire the 70km range shells but that is going to wear out the barrel rather quickly, and if there are targets 70km away that need to be hit I would think 300mm Smerch rockets would do a better job anyway. A wheeled vehicle like a Malva can drive 1,000km and then fire and then drive 1,000km back to where it came from. A tracked vehicle driving 2,000km would need lots of maintenance and repairs to be done on the tracks and would take four of five times longer to drive that far. The Malva has a central tire pressure regulation system and can operate off road in a very limited capacity but most of the time it can just stick to proper roads. There are not many places where there is no road within 25km in the Ukraine.

    The manual deploy and packing of the ramps might slow down the relocation which is the crucial advantage this platform should have.
    Another point to consider would be the comparison in crew size, time of deployment, shoots per minute when active, barrel length, terminal velocity of the shell and range of the shell, and time to pack and move out, as well as its cost how does it compare in all these metrics? It is clearly faster on roads and rough roads but probably cannot access all terrain so that limits its deployment. It will not survive any hits and seems to have no drone protection whereas the tracked platform already seems to have it. Is the barrel longer and thus the range larger it is confusing as to whether the range is 25 km or 70 km because these two are vastly different engagement envelopes. Is it capable of launching rocket assisted shells for greater range?

    80 km seems more accurate given Russias history in arty. But that also comes with their precision that has also historically been lacking. The wheels are a horrible design choice for the reasons stated in this video. I'm sure it'll still do some damage though, just not the perfect solution.

      Considering Ukrainians are using Nazi tactics (not one meter back) in some areas, you don't need accuracy just saturation, Krasnopols are for when the HIMARS, M270s or Patriots get surprised too close to the front.

  • @SportZFan4L1fe
    @SportZFan4L1fe Месяц назад

    I don't get it. Before the SMO Russia had significantly more artillery and rocket 🚀 launchers than Ukraine. So why is it stuck in a artillery dual with Ukraine 2 years later? 🤔

    • @RomanianReaver
      @RomanianReaver Месяц назад

      It isn't. It just didn't expect NATO to sign a suicide pact with Ukraine so didn't have more than 100k ground pounders ready to go into ukraine. Now it's between 800k on the low side and 1.5 million on the high side alongside the previous 1 to 7 or, on the weaker Ukrainian sides of the front, 1 to 15 artillery superiority. Look up interviews and see how much Ukro infantry complains about constant shelling and constant FPV drone attacks.

  • @peacefromgod6785

    loses russia: Ukraine is 6:1 and when is bad is 4:1. Why do I believe that?.... is logical, because in 2 years of WAR(not a special operation) Ukraine is not been defeated! If Ukraine loses will be higher than russian or at least equal at this point Ukraine will be defeated.

    • @tsugumorihoney2288
      @tsugumorihoney2288 Месяц назад

      nah, according to mobilization data Ukraine drafted around 1.5-2 millions people and had about 400 k army in feb of 22, Russia had in Ukranian front around 200k at start, then drafted 300k more, plus about 500k contract soldiers (They still choose skilled guys and refuse to take unskilled)
