Zak , this is the best series ever !! It never gave old !!!! Your shoes , the intro , inertia , just real life training !!! It is so great !! Thank you soooooo sooo much !!!
The information here is golden!! I'm addicted to your series and channel in general. How you manage to train and never say the word NO throughout the entire series is incredible! I can't wait to get started once I get my own puppy!
think we could talk for a whole day straight , wish time wasn't a factor. I want to say thank you for doing everything you do, your patience and passion is so inspiring (beyond words now). the amount of time, work, energy you put into doing all of this, thank you so much for making these helpful videos. I wanted to share something that you may or may not know about, in my experience this has been a game changer but it may not work for everyone. I have been training a VERY "food motivated" dog. First i will ask her to sit/lay down/stay and let her see that i have set down a small treat near her. If she leaves it alone she gets a separate treat. I tell her to leave the treat alone and proceed giving various commands. I usually just practice an extended "stay" and try to see how but if i walk my dog to another area she will remember that the treat is still there. Always giving EXTRA treats for as long as she continues to listen and leave the treat she knows about alone. For me personally this has been the first sort of "stepping stone" to playing the game we all know and love called "how long can i get you to pay attention and listen". It's hard to explain so many concepts with so many words but I hope that anyone reading this will think about this approach and maybe help me to explain or brainstorm ideas. Thanks again Mr. Zak George.
I'm planning on getting a dog after quarantine ends (which i hope will be soon) and im so excited!!! thank you so much for making these videos! these are my favorite
I love this breakdown on teaching stay at the door. My 3-month-old puppy immediately wants to dart out the door in the morning for his first potty of the day. With your step by step training methods, he now sits and waits for me to open the door and looks at me once it's all the way open as if to say "okay mom, can we go now?" I love it and it's all thanks to you Zak! :)
I just got a puppy and I love ur videos. They really help! I have been watching ur videos ever since last year and Inertia has grown so much and is very well trained. Good luck on ur upcoming journeys!
I watched the series from the beginning and I am SO PROUD of Inertia!! She is the best dog ever. Right after my own dog, who isn't as perfect in training :D
I had the best dog ever. I swear he knew many words, and I didnt knowingly teach him. He had the best recall. He would see a squirrel and start to chase, Id call him and he'd immediately come back. We lived with some other dogs at one point, and a female border collie liked to start little fights. Soon as Id hear them, Id call him and mid squabble he'd come. He knew all sorts of things that I never technically taught him, he just knew. He knew, wait, the difference between go to the tractor or go to the truck. He knew all his toys, red ball, green bone, moose, frog. He knew to go outside and get his piggy that was outside for a few days, knew right where it was and brought it inside. He was amazing. I sure miss Pete, my bff. Gsd/Border collie mix.
I have a 4mo old GSD and he is doing great! Thanks Zak for these super informative and fun videos! Have been following since then, and went back to Inertia's beginning videos! for young puppy training.
This video was more clear and informative than others of the series, which in my opinion touched too many topics at a time sometimes. Recorded explanations played over the video really add quality and clarity, good work guys!
Absolutely love these videos. I watch them with my 9 month old Boston Terrier. Not sure if it's your voice or the other dogs but she's glued to the TV 🤔😂
Thx zac you have allways bin the person for me to go to for dog training but one thing I see alot of the same video's so this is great puting it all in one episode you should do this alot more often
Thanks for making this! I love this format, where you discuss one topic and use Inertia's progression and her training sessions over time. It would be great if you could make more of these, with different topics like 'come' and 'heel'!
Hey Zak loved this video, my puppy is currently 9 weeks old and she is such a handful (I swear I haven’t slept in days lol) this dog training experience gives me great hope to keep on pushing and to stay calm!
In the same position here, but our puppy is 4 months old and from day 1,we started watching Zaks guides to train our doggo and I consider myself lucky untill now, because our puppy is learning commands. I'm concious that our dog would not be like Inertia, because we don't have that much time and we're not wise enough, but I think she is happy, and I'm too,so thank you Zak very much for everything, straight outta Romania! Bless!
we had a scary encounter yesterday with my small dog. we went for a walk yesterday evening and were playing fridbee on a long lead (she is still a puppy so I dont fully trust her off leash). A woman came up and started calling my dog to her “come here” she continued to do so for 3 minutes persistently even after I told her that I dont want my dog to approach. I told my pup to stay and she did so! Thanks to you Zak these training videos of yours are very helpful!!
Wait is one of the easiest things to teach a dog imo. I'm dog sitting for someone currently and taught all 3 of their dogs to sit (which they already new) and wait for me to put the food down and not go for it until i give them the ok. Any time they get up before I tell them I just lift the bowl back up and the immediately get what they did wrong and sit back down. Though I don't think all of them would be going at doing it for a longer amount of time.
The stay break on the door with the blue ball that first time was totally the hand gesture as you held and threw the ball, it's the same kind of gesture you use with "okay".
*I've been trying to find out about "dog training" for a while now, and found this one helpful: **Prime.petloveguide.us** .* Ова е обука за решетки, што некогаш сум ја видел.
Why use stay as a command when you could use an implied stay? My dog is not allowed to break a stand or sit or lie down until I give him his release word. I personally use stay as an emergency/on-a-dime command, or a verbal marker to reinforce the behavior when I know he may be susceptible to break a stay (like standing on my bed ready to launch himself off when I walk out the door). If he breaks a stationary command, I correct verbally and bring him back to the same spot. So I don’t have to keep saying “stay” to make sure he does, he just simply doesn’t move from a position until I give him the okay to. Free shaping is wonderful to help with this!
I just got a puppy and your methods are so helpful! Inertia such a smart dog. Even though I've watched your videos for the past year (before I even knew I was getting a puppy) I still feel unprepared, haha But honestly Inertia has grown and learned so much since day one! Great job Inertia and Zak! 💕
I’m getting a dog either this week or next, I wanted a puppy but this is my first dog and none are available, mostly because I don’t have much experience with dog trading. We have decided to get a 4 yr old staffy cross. I plan to train it but I am afraid that it will have a low attention span and I won’t be as patient as you. I am also afraid that it will take a long time for him to trust me.
Hi Zak. I recently got my first ever puppy and have been watching a lot of your videos to help me with training and lifestyle with a new puppy. I wanted to thank you for making great content and helping hundreds of thousands of dog owners around the world. Also I had a question for you. While training my new pup is it better to teach them with hand signals or speech to teach them terms such as sit, stay, look at me, etc. Thank You
hi Zak! can you please make a video on how to train an older dog? my dog is 7 years old and isn’t motivated by pretty much anything, even food or toys. thank you!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this channel! Does anyone happen to know where to get those long leads? I can’t find any good ones like the ones in the videos. Also, really liked being able to see the transitions through clips from different points in time! Really puts things into perspective
Who thinks Zak is the best dog trainer ?? He always shows his setbacks which is great for us who deal with real life circumstances!!!
I challenge everyone , go through this video of recaps , and look how dope all Zak's shoes are !!

I thought its very easy and nice thing to own a dog but it needs alot of training and responsibility
Same!!
getting my puppy in two weeks, you and inertia have been a lifesaver. can't wait to train my own best friend ❤️❤️
I love this breakdown on teaching stay at the door. My 3-month-old puppy immediately wants to dart out the door in the morning for his first potty of the day. First time I've seen a dog go from 8 weeks to what she is now. Its been great!
This is one of the most helpful videos I've seen regarding teaching your dog self control or impulse control!! Thank you so much! 🐕❤️
what a year! beautifully demonstrated, thx Zak and Bree!
Omg seeing baby inertia after getting used to her at 1 year old is such a throwback, but I'm not complaining she was the cutest 😍
honestly wish I could bring my German Shepherd pup to you. she is so hard headed but we are working on it with these videos!!
Good luck
Zak you are soo good! All these brands must thank you! I am sold on buying this! You are awesome. Learning so much from you.

The introduction always makes me smile. Hi, I am Zak, and my life, is kind of crazy. Cue Inertias badass music video.
Could you make a video about socializing an older dog with people?
Also your shoe game is ON POINT
Could you do a similar video on settle and other methods of calming a puppy? 🤩

Hi zak!
Can you do a video like this for "heel"? It's the position you taught her on your right and she goes there a lot when you call her. Thanks!
Inertia is awesome! Great job!
I have to laugh at those 90s camera angles though 02:26 :D :D :D
Even Zak is now one year older! Also doing well! 😷😀
