أحد أكثر الشخصيات تأثيرًا في الفن الأمريكي وهو مؤسس تقنية الرسم المبتكرة ، والمعروفة باسم Action Painting. و كانت طريقتة المميزه هي تقطير وتلطيخ الألوان على القماش بإيماءات درامية سريعة فيقوم بسكب اللون بالعصي والسكاكين ويلقي به على قماش الكانفاس المحضر والغير مشدود و المفروش غالباً على أرضية صلبة مثل سطح البلاط أو أرضية المرسم الخشبية وهو خروج غير مألوف عن مفهوم رسم اللوحة و تلوينها برفضه استخدام حامل اللوحة وأستخدام تقنيات الرسم المتعارف عليها .
