Great review and nice content! I got myself a GSX650F at the beginning of 2021. It’s my first big bike I was a bit worried about the weight moving from 125 but to be honest after few spins this bike is nimble as any other bike on the road great machine!! Safe ridding ✌️

i agree i love my 650f , has a great instrument , ive led round mine, yoshi r77 carbon exhaust sounds great and for everyday riding its plenty quick enough, double bubble is a must. i agree the weight is a issue till you get your confidence, and the throttle is a bit wierd till you get used to but when you get the confidence its fantastic, and the hydraulic clutch is just wonderful

I'm a 162 cm tall female and own this bike. It's an awesome bike but it is heavy as a cow! So leaning while stopping and standing on it is a russian roulette for me :D . And pushing it is a workout of itself. If it was just a little bit lighter it would be a perfect bike in my opinion.

Tons of aftermarket parts on it too!

Owner here myself and I just recorded acceleration times yesterday.
0-60mph I got 3.5secs dead. My bike is also due servicing, chain needs cleaning, oil changes. Despite that it’s still shooting off at the line. 0-100mph was about 8.6secs. It’s absolutely rapid.
However at 5ft 7 I think I just about manage to walk it about. Luckily I manage but in London this size bike and weight just isn’t fun. However once u hit an open motorway or country road it’s a beautiful bike and so underrated. Suzuki always gets shitted on but a bike that starts up immediately after 3 weeks of being left in the rain and cold is a solid bike. 2008 model.

Nice vid and review. I've had one since 2014, bought it from new. Now on 37kmiles. Only ever had one issue, which was a seized fan, which insorted myself. Really reliable, goes very well, and also handles well. I have recently bought a Z1000sx. I just can't sell the Gsx yet, as its such a good bike. Safe riding 🤘

Loving my GSX650F and even as a shortarse it wasn't a problem as it was a simple case of changing the dog bones and putting shorter ones on, 40mm under standard. It's a great bike and you can change the lights for LED's without any problems. All in I'd definitely recommend this bike to anyone.

Good video mate! My first ever bike and it's a great one to start with if you can handle the heavier weight. I'm 6'4 and I'm still comfortable on this bike! I've done hours and hours on it when touring and sure arse gets sore after a while but nothing a quick stop won't fix.
I find my throttle to be the exact same, thought something was wrong with my bike at first. But again it's only a minor downside I can certainly live with 🙂

Liked your review. I bought one new (abs model) in 2015 with an Arrow end-can, still like it very much. I really like the looks of the bike. As you mentioned, its somewhat heavy when manhandling it, when riding its really ok. What I also appreciate is the stability of this bike, hardly sensitive for crosswinds on the motorways too. You mentioned touring on this bike. Since I also own a V-Strom 650 I must admit that the V-Strom is a much better tourer for long distances, nevertheless I agree you can tour on the GSX650F. My throttle is super smooth, no on/off issues at all, much better than my V-Strom which can be a little on/off.
Personally I didn't like the rear shock, so I bought a good aftermarket shock. It gave a huge improvement, much better comfort and road contact. The front suspension is really good for a budget bike, no change there except for the occasional fork oil change. The bike is easy to maintain and will last forever with a little maintenance. Only difficult part is the valve clearance check, took me about 5 hours in total, fortunately no adjustment needed. One thing I must mention is tires, I do think this bike suffers from an almost worn front tire, the steering becomes quite heavy.
    Cheers!

Been driving the Bandit for over a year, it's a heavy bike but like you said, once actually driving it's just rock-solid. Unfortunately though, yesterday when I was parking it and went to do a semi-circle swing around the bike dropped on me. Minimal damage, still gutted though! When the Bandit wants to fall that's that! I fully get your remark on the throttle! When I first got the Bandit 1250 I thought there was something wrong with it, because like that, you let the throttle off and it's instantly OFF! No wind-down as you said. So the GSX650F is just a 650 Bandit? Same weight/handling everything?

I have had carbureted sport bikes in the past that felt that way and hated it. Suzuki got this great 750cc 4 cylinder engine from gsxr , I whish they could make new mid weight sport tourer with this engine, maybe slighty de-tune it to 120HP ,would be great bike along with gsx1000s

And you can put a gsxr engine in it and still insure it as the 650f! Some even put a hayabusa engine in one! Talk about a sleeper!

    214kgs did you say? It’s 245kgs, it’s a fat pumpkin but I love mine.

650cc can't be that bad to push around. I've had pleasure of pushing 1300 cc XJR1300, now that's a cow

84 BHP is a bit much for a beginner...

I agree, in hindsight maybe it would be more suitable for a second bike than an absolute beginner. Thanks for watching and the feedback, ride safe 😊

Bollocks my first bike was a cb600f, it doesn't even wake up until 8000rpm.
80hp to the wheel, and 240kg is a pitiful power to weight ratio, it's completely manageable.

With respect you have no chance of keeping up with a proper 600 sport bike, zx6r gixer 600 (cbr 600 100bhp)and definitely not an( r6 120bhp). Nice bike and good video however. Nice touring type bike that is. Suscribed

It is very heavy especially for a 650 😔
