    One of the best videos explaining and showing how the machine works - especially with the schematic diagram. Makes it easy to understand. Question please: Is the schematic diagram of the Diana exactly the same as the Elizabeth? If not, how does it differ? Thanks very much.

    • @LELIT_Official
      @LELIT_Official  6 лет назад +4

      Hi,
      Thanks for your comment.
      The hydraulic circuit of Diana machine is different by the one of the Elizabeth.
      In the Diana machine there are two boiler one for steaming and one for brewing.
      But they are not connected with each other, so in the Diana we take water for coffee and hot water for tea, from the brew boiler, and the steam for cappuccino from the steam boiler.
      The pre-infusion function is not included.

    Hello👋 thanks for the GREAT machine, I've been using it for about 4 months now and I'm loving it 👍👍👍 got a question though (thanks for the schematics, explaining how it works, by the way)...the problem I'm trying to work out a way to deal with is as follows:
    I prepare espresso with pre-infusion time around 6-7 seconds and then I steam milk for the cappuccino. Approximately after the second cup (somewhere around third) a pump comes on to add water into the steam boiler, I believe...and at that time I can feel a significant pressure drop on the steamer, so I have to stop steaming, or milk is gonna take in a lot of moisture and my cappuccino's gonna be mediocre instead of PERFECT 😂😝... So, now to the question... 🧐
    Is there a way to make her pump some water into the steam boiler on my demand? When it is more convinient for me? 🤔😏
    PS what I do now is - I stop, wait a bit, then pull a shot of espresso, and finish steaming afterwards, but I don't like that way, cause if I wait for too long milk gets separated. Do you think pouring some water from the hot water tap will help? Do you have any technical info on "when it starts adding water to the steam boiler"?😬

      Hello ichervon85, the water refill of the steam boiler after the shot is not adjustable but thank you very much for your message. We'll forward it to our R&D dept and keep it in mind for our future projects. Take care, Lelit team

    • @ichervon85

      @@LELIT_Official thanks for the answer. Yep, I understand, that it's not adjustable, but it should use some kind of algorithm when to fill it. I was wondering if you knew what it is, and how we could influence it, even if indirectly)) maybe the steam temperature change in PID could affect that, or pouring some water though the hot water tap... What exactly triggers the pump to come on and add water? Do you have a schematics for that?))

    • @LELIT_Official
      @LELIT_Official  4 года назад

      @@ichervon85 thank you for your attention on this! The algorithm is the following: 1.water is taken from the steam boiler for the pre-infusion; 2. at the end of the shot, the electronic card registers the low water level in the steam boiler and starts the pump for refilling. Again, thank you very much for your message that we'll keep in mind for the next revision and/or projects. Take care, Lelit team

    There’s a lot to like about this one especially at the price and small size footprint. Pre infusion is great. If they could mange to add a feature to LCC to adjust flow lower at end of the shot or even a simple/manual flow control , it would be hard to find fault. Maybe they don’t want to undercut the Bianca

      @@LELIT_Official The Bianca is great, I’ve had the chance to try one. The weight andsize (depth mostly) is a downside for me like a lot of e61 machines. I know that the target market for Elizabeth is different but think how much of a cult following the breville dual boiler developed because you can modify it for flow. Change these things in the Elizabeth: 1) volume based shots instead of timer, 2) adjustable pump pressure/flow during the shot, and 3) a better steam knob that doesn’t require so many turns. Cal it Florence 😀. For the home, I would take such a machine over Bianca, crem one 2b-LFPP, profitec 700, etc

    I bought this machine in December 2019 and to this date water from the hot water outlet still smells and tastes “funny”, sort of plasticky taste as if some hospital disinfectant is present in the water? Coffee made through the unit head is excellent but when I make a cup of tea using hot water from the hot water outlet it is almost undrinkable, due to taste and smell.

    • @LELIT_Official
      @LELIT_Official  3 года назад

      Hello, as explained in the video, this system mixes water from the steam boiler and pump together as it enters the brew boiler. This allows large amounts of water to be drawn from the brew boiler without cooling it down very much and it gives a much nicer smooth water draw, no spluttering and returns to brewing temperature very rapidly. We believe this is an important advantage. Thank you LELIT Team

    What do you think about the difference between water from coffee boiler and steam one? Some people say that water from steam boiler doesn't taste good , therefore it can change overall quality of espresso.

    • @LELIT_Official
      @LELIT_Official  5 лет назад +3

      Hello! If the water inside the boiler is not constantly rinsed it becomes of low quality. Therefore, this kind of problem is solved if the boiler is rinsed daily.
      During normal use, ELIZABETH continues to drain small quantities of water from the 2nd boiler so there is no stagnant water in the steam boiler. Basically, Elizabeth takes the water for the pre-infusion from the steam boiler and sends this water to the coffee boiler (not directly into the portafilter).
      Thanks to this mix, the water that reaches the ground coffee in the portafilter is also coming from the steam boiler.
      Another particularity of ELIZABETH is the way the system prepares the water for hot drinks: this machine withdraws water from the steam boiler, it mix it inside the coffee boiler with the water taken from the tank and then sends this water mixture to the hot water dispenser. The result is a good, quality water, with a constant flow, without splashes.

    Hi it seems as if I will pick either Elizabeth or Mara X (or maybe even Victoria) I want some help deciding. So I am thinking of lelit mara X or Elisabeth(or maybe even Victoria due to the amount of coffee I normally brew /day 2-3 espressos and 1-2 cappuchinos)
    I ask myself the question “who is Mara for and who is Elisabeth for?”
    I really really don’t see anything that Mara does better than Elisabeth, either they are equally good or Elisabeth has the advantage of being flexible and stable with the dual boilers.
    From all that have tried both machines I have so far not heard anyone picking Mara over the other due to superior advantage in a certain features or quality in shots.
    However, the build quality is another fact... probably mara has the advantage there with a solid ss boiler instead of brass. Also it is very sophisticated with dual PID and much more.
    So is the answer that for those who want a good solid machine that is built like a tank that will live for decades and will provide good coffee without a mess/ fuss .... then they should pick Mara
    One can also experiment with flow control in the future...
    And for those who want better flexibility in terms of temperature stability change of temperature, stability of steam and more back to back lattes/cappuccinos espressos , faster starting time and easier maintenance should pick Elisabeth?
    I am really no pro but read all kinds of crazy arguments on RUclips that have no real fact where the real arguments lie
    I just bought the grinder eureka specialita and hope it will be good with my next machine.
    Really appreciate any recommendations you might have🙏
