For Those Lacking Purpose In Life

- Recently, I have been struggling to find purpose in my life. Drifting aimlessly through life can be a horrible feeling to have. This is the story of my journey and how the clues of my past gave me a glimpse of who I was meant to be. I don't have everything figured out, nor do I think I ever will. However, I hope my failures and past experience can help you find your purpose in some way.

This video is so beautiful! Thank you for being so honest about your journey - know that the message that you're passing is really important :)
Thank you for the kind words Júlia. It's the comments like yours that surprise me, and motivate me to continue creating.
I too am angry at myself for being complacent, lazy, and unable to take accountability. I love this mission you’re on brother. I’m grateful that I crossed your path. Your writing is really stellar.
I appreciate the kind words bro. Just trying to get a little bit better everyday. I'm glad we crossed paths as well. Keep on creating!
I feel you mate, 41 and still searching
Keep searching my bro
I am someone who's 46 and very lost and lost everything and everyone that matters to me... I LOVE your message ... if it means anything to u... listening to this today gave my soul a moment of peace and I am grateful for that 🙏🏼
Sorry to hear about your loses. But thank you for your comment. I always love to hear when people benefit from my message. Thank you!
Dude, that was amazing. Described pretty well my own life situation right now! Sometimes, we just need to take the leap.
Thanks Roey! I'm super happy you enjoyed the vid. I agree, sometimes we do need to take that leap, even when we're not ready!
One year ago, I was in deep depression and tried to end my life twice, since then, it feels like life is useless, because we will die at the end
I always love seeing your videos, Derek. The fact that you keep pushing on and continuing to create and release content is so very much appreciated. :)
I'm glad you enjoy them Alan! I'm trying my best to balance out the quality of my work & the time it takes me to create these videos. There are times I wish I could post more often, but I don't want the quality of my work to suffer. We'll see what the future brings!
Great shots in this video, man! Pretty sure I saw a box of Dragon Shields in that bankers box you brought upstairs.
LOL yea right hahahahah dude u notice the funniest things. I should start calling them easter eggs 😂
This is top-notch content, Derek. Beautifully done
Thank you Gasper, I really appreciate the feedback. Also, it was great chatting with you during the live stream. Hopefully we can do it again!
the editing is just so flawless! Amazing piece of work.
Thanks Nirav! This one took quite awhile, but I'm happy with how it turned out in the end!
Those old journals dude! Amazing! Well done brother 👌
The St. John Fisher days bro! Hahaha
Amazing video my brother.
The most amazing realization is that most of us find meaning in helping others heal the same pain that we had (or still have, in which case we need to find a way to heal it first in order to be able to help others heal it).
And I can relate to your own personal journey so much. I'm 35 and only in the past year I've started to work on myself in a more purposeful and organized way.
Keep going and never stop!
Well said Kalash. Also, congrats for starting your own personal journey at 35. I know a lot of people who use age as an excuse. But even in our mid 30's we still have so many good years ahead of us. Best of luck in the future brotha.
Derek,
I ♥ your videos. You have such a beautiful way of visual storytelling. Please continue to make this content. You are very right, death is the only thing that is guaranteed. Detaching with love is so difficult, but is so necessary when you are moving forward, and others want to stand still. There is a balance between waiting and moving forward. I think we spend our lives waiting and moving forward, similar to the childhood math question we are presented with of the "Frog in the Well." We jump 3 feet each day, and fall back 2. It's the constant momentum that reminds us that - Time does not stand still, time does not wait for us. We must embrace Time. We must view Time as our most precious commodity in life. What we do with Time - is ultimate what decides the life we live.
And to answer one of your burning questions; will you be remembered? Yes, absolutely. You are touching lives.
Thank you Sadie! I'm trying my best to embrace the time I have on this planet and live life to the fullest. I think we all struggle with self worth from time to time, as nobody is perfect. I am mostly overly optimistic for the future, but there are still days where I doubt myself and my work. It's the comments like yours and the feedback I receive from this community that help keep me going. Hopefully we can all make a positive impact in this world!
I needed to hear this. Thank you
bro your content is extremely underrated youll blow up dont lose hope
Thanks brotha for the words of encouragement. It's hard to not get caught up in the numbers, but I'm trying my best to keep doing what I love! We'll see what the future brings.
Wow what a powerful video with such an empowering message, thank you for sharing Derek! Love that you are also pursuing your creative side 🙌☺ The advice of figuring out what you can't live with out is a big one, it really resonates! 🙏
Thanks guys for the kind words and feedback. I'm glad that you guys are pursuing your creative side as well. Content creation is a beautiful thing.
I think I´m here to entertain. Been playing in small bands since my youth and keeping being pulled into live playing situations at work, unwillingly. I´ve always been drawn to the darker side. Always writing darker music. Maybe my call and purpose is? Not to become a success in business and tech? As I´m approaching 50 I think my purpose is to entertain and to encourage and empower. This video made me think.
Great to hear! Keep the passion alive. I don't think there are too many things in this world than chasing your passion!
This is beautiful. Man, I have no idea but youtube needs to promote your vids! Wayyy too underrated.
Thanks brotha, I appreciate the kind words!

Sorry I missed you comment Charmaine! Glad you enjoyed the video 😀
Inspirational. Thanks Derek!
You're welcome Sleepy! 😬 Thank you so much for supporting my work!
I have no purpose except to offer some sort of companionship to my mother as she's 79 and I'm 52. The last job I had only went 1 day because of the damage I did and it was a site where they didn't have running water, a firehose to wash the trucks, a fridge or kitchen for preparing food. Just an electric heating jug and a dusty microwave. Not even cleaning supplies or a kitchen sink. They used the toilet and washroom of the place nextdoor. Had a difficult time finding an address after receiving the wrong information.
I have a lot of time to relax and feeling depression, dreading to go out and contend with other people. Looking forward to the life beyond. So it's necessary to turn around these negative automatic thoughts with conscious realistic thoughts which do not have that bias. I am loved, I have compassion, things are as they should be and they will work toward a pleasing outcome. With a purified karma I shall go forth. God, hear me. Make me more pleasant for my own company and for the salve of others.
Just found you man in a comment section!holy your experience so good made me subscribe you.
I appreciate it, thanks bro!

Is there any a faster way for 'learning from other's mistakes'?
Learning from others + trial and error works the best for me. Not sure about other people tho
@@DerekBearzi okey 😃
I have no purpose
Such nice words, but nothing specific comes from them.
Have sehwaas.
Eh?
