Huge respect for this compassionate woman and for the British gentleman who rescues cats. Not so much for the woman who takes her purebreds to cat shows; it's a vanity project for her and has nothing to do with giving a cat a great quality of life. It also encourages for-profit breeding which only adds to the overpopulation problem.

I agree. This would be a dream for me. I have 5 cats myself and their care and health is my top priority. It gives me peace of mind when they're being taken care of.

That is why we support them the work is tremendous and this set up for rescued cats is one of the best ever. Unlike the NORTH SHORE ANIMAL LEAGUE IN PORT WASHINGTON NY. Who calls itself the biggest this and that no kill that is a lie NSAL CONTRACTS OUT AND KILL LOTS OF CATS AND THE CEO MAKES A VERY BIG SALARY CATS ARE KEEP IN CAGES AND DOGS ARE given drugs and never let out of cages. This is a profitable business started by the Lewits who came there in a lemo offering a piece of cake if you take a cat. With the money they have they should be ASHAMED of themselves also worker fund with gun inside.

I've rescued and rehomed hundreds of cats thru my life, now I'm old and disabled I have 36 left who are staying ranging in age from a 2yr boy with Cerebellar Hyperplasia to my 22 yr old tabby who I found on railway tracks as a 2 week old with her siblings who are now gone to cat heaven, Plus 3 rescue Pomeranian crosses.
I love my life with babies and wouldn't have it any other way. 4 babies including my 22, yr old are asleep on the bed next to me and one pom.
Hats off to all these and others who do what they do for the animals. ❤

Condolences for your loss. Thank you for all you have done. I have rescued and rehomed some but nowhere near hundreds, as you have. Just discovered four small kittens in my side yard and am building my first drop trap from scrap wood. They appear to still be young enough to be socialized so they can be adopted to good homes; wish me luck with that.
I have 3 indoor kitties and also take care of 4 outdoor kitties that came to my yard and stayed :)
My sister had a near death experience at 32 when her heart stopped. She saw and walked with her dog in Heaven. Praise the good Lord that they're all there! I know it's hard being separated, but I hope this brings you comfort, as it does me.
Once I could breathe a sigh of relief that the home and property is clean and safe, I was immediately filled with so much joy! I love this lady!

I have 10 cats. All rescues. Just like Andy I started out with 2 and then neighbors moved, abandoned their cats and some had kittens so I have 10 now. Wife, and my best mates passed away all within past 5 yrs. I have PTSD from serving Panama , and Iraq. Cats help it a lot .The cats are all I have now. Love them so much. 😁 Carry on the good deeds

i love cats, my lovely cat Murphy died in April he was 14 died in my arms, its such a painful loss. Cats give you so much and bring such peace and joy to you, bless them.

Animals return to the LORD when they pass away. They were all created by Him, they belong to Him and they return to Him. I truly believe this.
I visited Lynea's cat shelter on 3 times. Everything was clean and organized. What dedication. Cats were happy and healthy. The cats could roam as they please. Lynea is a saint and everyone should support her in anyway they can. Really admire her spirit.

Lynea has one of the best rescue set up for cats I have ever seen in my 60 years.
How do you know that ALL 1000 cats were happy n healthy? I have very hard to believe it because cats don’t like this big group and it’s impossible to take care of all of those in one day.
You are right She makes sure before a new cat is put in with the other cats it is fixed, They just do not put new cats that come in with the other cats. There is a holding period. Cats with the space here do fine. Workers are on sight daily. Yes you are right if a cat has blockage with this amount of cats how can one tell, cats with blockage die in a few days. You need to ask them about this. Thanks for asking we all want to make sure and do our best by the animals we love. I have 16 cats, all rescues. All indoor. All supervisors every time i use the bathroom (I'm never alone).
I'm trying to save up money to go back to college to become a veterinarian so that I can open a low cost spay/neuter clinic in my area. If I can make it, I could alter 50 cats on average a day. That would make such a difference in an area where people treat animals like disposable products.
I also am in double digits of indoor rescues. Wouldn't change that for the world! I wish more vets would do just what you are wanting to do. More power to you!

I can’t imagine the size of my forearms scooping after 1,000 cats 😂🎉. After 6 decades of being allergic to mammals, I got a Siberian last year, and his brother this year. We can rub cheeks and I don’t get sick! There are not words to tell you how exciting it is to finally do this.

I have 25 pets and 4 children. The pets couldn't do in a year what the kids do in a day.

She had some “issues” with zoning (in the past) but the neighbors told zoning to “leave the cat lady alone”.

I met my Sister(best friend) through Cat House On The Kings on fb in the beginning of 2016. We live in 2 separate states and have never met in person, but she is the Sister I never had. She has 12 kitties at the moment. My husband and I are up to 16. We just rescued a most handsome black kitty from our backyard and named him Rand. I do fostering also, I love taking care of the neo-nates who need bottle feedings. The animal shelter and our vet really help us out. Our vet has saved us thousands of dollars. I love kitties so much, for as long as I can remember. Somebody has to look out for them and take care of them and find them loving furever homes.

I think it's wonderful how these people are dedicating their lives to looking after these wonderful cats. I have no idea how they afford it but I take my hat off to them. I am not sure what I think of the cat shows. The cats look very unhappy in those cages and when being 'prepared' for the show. I really don't understand the purpose of those shows.
Its all so in vain catshows..they should ban those shows...let a cat enjoy their life and let us takecare pf them in love because they give us so much.. ❤

I remember working at a grocery store and there was this one lady who always buys 100 cans of cat food. The local said she sleeps with cats and never showers. Whenever she came by my register, I couldn't help it but always felt the urge to vomit. It was that horrendous and I'm not kidding. The smell was so foul that none of the people wanted to ring her up. 😢

Yes. Unfixed males of every type of mammal smell awful. Bathing helps, but 99.99% of cats are terrified of water. The smell is from their urine. Fixed males smell less, and females smell even less, fixed or not.
Humans that don’t shower DO stink, with or without cats.

The parts of this video that feature the woman who turned her home into a cat sanctuary and the British man who rescues cats are great. Leave out the people who bring cats to cat shows that feature purebreds; it's a vanity project for the owners and has nothing to do with what the cat wants or what is the best quality of life for cats. Anything that encourages breeding for profit is an afront to true animals lovers. We recognize that breeders only add to the problem of pet overpopulation and homelessness. My feline practitioner vet will not even deal with breeders because of this. ADOPT DON'T SHOP.

@@maverick3151 I love him too! As do people who travel long distances to bring their cats to him and he is also the most reasonably priced vet I know of. Sadly, his wife told me that other vets in the area ostracize him because of this. Nevertheless, his schedule is always full and he has never had the need to advertise or send people "reminders'" to bring their cats in for check-ups because word of mouth is enough to keep him more than busy.
For cats to be happy and psychologically healthy, each cat needs adequate space. (I've read 18sq ft, including vertical space: ie it could be 12 sq ft at ground level plus 6 sq ft on cat trees, shelves, ramps etc.)
It's lovely that there are generous-hearted people who want to look after as many cats as they can. But overcrowding is a big stressor for cats. In this video I observed a lot of obviously stressed behaviour by cats overwhelmed by too much close proximity to numerous other cats.
I adopted a cat who was rescued in an animal cruelty raid on a property with 90 cats. The shelter specified that he needed a home with no other pets, no children, no surprises and a quiet life. He's a sweet loving cat who adores humans but he's terrified at the sight of another cat (eg at the vet). Even after two years as a cherished only pet, he's still nervous around eating and toileting, and I can tell that he still worries that someday those other 89 cats might break in to our house and attack him.

Part 2 There was a separate trailer on the property of the ASPCA cat shelter that housed all of the healthy kittens. I worked at Tony La Russas Animal Rescue Foundation in Walnut Creek CA. I flew in to Jacksonville FL with a team of 4 others from my job. It took about 40 volunteers split into about 7 different categories that rotated every day. There was zero air conditioning as most of the cats were kept in dog runs. I remember one row of cats had about 50-100 to feed. Feeding and medicating alone, took 5 hrs just to prepare to do it all again.
