I’m an Alberta Resident bear hunter, love that you come up here every year and show everyone our beautiful province. Cameron Hanes is always welcome to Alberta!!!
Screw all these negative comments! The scene of you being there for the Bear‘s last breath was one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen in hunting. Great work!
Awesome!! I am a lifelong alberta resident. I'm so happy you come up to experience our world class black bear hunting. I didn't get my fall bear this year. Tough year to hunt bears in the foothills. I nailed two deer with my bow this year. Your videos are inspiring!! Keep hammering!!
"thats him, isnt it?".. I could see the acknowledgment in your face at that moment, that your life and this bears life are now forever linked and your appreciation to see him in all his glory before your kill
Amazing video and amazing job showing the connection and respect you have for these animals. I've never hunted bears, but I hope to get the chance and when I do, I hope I can show the same respect you have Cam. Awesome job on great bears!
I’ve always thought I was weird for doing the things that I do to make sure my bow hunt is perfect. Always blamed it on OCD….But, watching this video, I realize I’m not the only one. Love the practice shot from the ground blind !
You know your in Alberta when you have a Canadian tire 5 gallon bucket and an American flag on your flag pole. We aren't as backwards as the rest of our country. Another Great hunt. KEEP HAMMERING!!!
Amazing video! I wish you'd make more of these type of videos and one video I'm really excited about would be a long hunting session with Joe! More precisely elk hunting.
My first thought when you were sprinting was he needs to get near it to prevent other Bears from chomping on what Cam assumed to be a great Bear hide. Counting Coe pretty cool
"How intense, nothing like bear hunting." I experienced that this year. Hunted fall until all the berries were gone with no success until mid september when i was walking out of the backcountry and ripping a rabbit in distress. My bear decided to charge in chest high buck brush and ultimately a frontal midcharge shot followed by a semi quartering too shot anchored that bear at 10 yards. Hell of an experience, and in my mind it was what most of us bear hunters want to feel. The real moment where sht hits the fan and you have to either preform or suffer the fallout of failure.
BERTA, the best place on Earth for Hunters... Welcome to our Home, Hanes! That being said using bait is cheating lol. Hunt like a man and walk and stalk.
Dude baiting is hard lol the bait is used to make sure sows and Young boars don't get killed. It would be way easier to spot and stalk, but you'll be killing the wrong age class. The drum is super helpful in sizing a bear, I don't bait cause it is too much work lol
I’m hoping we start getting black bear tags here in Florida, I see more black bear than deer in some of the places I hunt and on Tyndall AFB where I work and hunt they are everywhere. According to the wildlife biologist on base in the last 5-10 years Florida went from 2,000 to over 10,000
Aaaah you're in my homeland of Alberta! You gotta try n chase elk or mule deer here the muleys are huge idk if the elk are any bigger then where you've hunted before
I believe this is his way of counting coup. He tries to get close enough to touch the bear as his life leaves the body. They threw up an explanation on the second bear.
It’s baffling to me why anyone would chase an animal immediately after the shot. Why not give it a moment to expire peacefully rather than forcing it into a final sprint fueled by adrenaline? For those new to bow hunting, just because you see Cam Hanes do it doesn’t mean you need to as well.
Was thinking the same thing...like ok, maybe get out to get an angle where he ran, but chasing after it? Never seen that anywhere. You smoked it at 15-20 yards..ain't going anywhere
It’s called Counting Coup and it’s an Indian warrior tradition. So why wouldn’t you pay homage to them and the bear?? It’s a sign of respect. Great job Cam!
I have never seen anyone chase a bear after the shot, but that was a moment of respect at death. Cam Hanes is the man, but I often feel he has a death wish. Nothing but respect.
When you're doing something as lazy and disrespectful as Baiting in the world's most timid type of bear to your living room window, you feel bored bc you've done something that takes Zero skill so you want to stand by the bear to get a Tiny smidgen of adrenaline. Lazy, no aim havin, broke boy activity.
@@mattyfuture dude lol baiting is hard work, it would be way easier to just spot and stalk black bear but the issue is trying to harvest an older age class bear is difficult. Using bait is the best way to ID an animal and make sure sows and young boars don't get killed. The drum not only holds the bait but it's used as a means of measuring body size. Stay positive and keep hammering
You're the reason I got into bow hunting. Haven't hunted with a firearm since I touched a bow! Nothing like it! You are a great advocate for the sport! Can't thank you enough!
Ironic how you are both choosing "skill based" hunting yet yall have to bait in the most timid type of bears alive to a range where you basically can't miss. Super lame to bait in prey, I don't care how poor or busy you are, this type of hunting is super boring and takes zero skill.
Calling baiting "hunting" is hilarious. Cam probably says he's 5'8 like rogan too.. just a couple little fellas the size of a large kindergarten student out showing us how alpha they are
No, this is just laziness. Takes Zero skill. Try actually tracking game, maybe in Alaska where you're no longer protected by your living room and air conditioning. This isn't a "bush dragon" XD it's the world's most timid type of bear
I don't understand your black bears. In Russia, if several bears are together, they are all of different sizes, this is a family where one is the largest and the rest are small, there is one slightly smaller than the largest and the rest are the smallest. These are the wrong bears. They probably ate the wrong honey as children.
No offence. I appreciate you work an effort and like your content. But this is like shooting in a Zoo or Farm. … maybe it needs to be done. But its unworthy for a hunter.
Dragon aka the worlds most timid bear X'D the click bait is Wild. You just love being lazy and baiting ppl and bears in dont ya lul google Steve Rinella and maybe try some real hunting and tracking.
I mean it sees you and isn't charging...doesn't even care youre there...what a dragon lul let this zero skill style of hunting die bro, super boring content
Dude you have no clue what you’re talking about. 1 it’s bush dragons as they are a spiritual and unique creature of the forest. The huffing and popping is what he describes being dragon like. 2. He’s buddies with Steve and his normal hunts are far beyond what 99% of hunters do hiking 2-5-10 miles to hunt elk and mulies. Let’s see what you do ?
Don’t really get the whole justifying the bear hunt cause of they kill fawns argument. If you really wanted to control bear pops you would shoot females. Also wouldn’t running bait piles boost bear numbers ? Bears are able to find thousands of artificial calories they wouldn’t normally. Most bears over bait aren’t killed but get the benefits of the calories. If you wanna hunt bears just say you wanna hunt bears, nothing wrong about it - don’t have to justify it . Arguing about predator control to keep ungulate populations up just comes across as disingenuous to anyone who knows a little bit about hunting/outdoors.

Loved this hunt Cam! You are a very respectful person, and I appreciate you willing to show your appreciation after your hunt!
Very, Very nice, Mr. Hanes! Many deer fawns and moose calves will survive this year because of you.
I black bear hunt but the idea that he is making an improvement in the population of deer when they bait sites is flawed.
This may have been the most spiritual hunt I’ve ever witnessed
😂😂😂😂😂 cringe asf
“Most spiritual hunt” 😂😂🤡
Lol yeah baiting with cell cams is spiritual🤡
Another beautiful film by the CH team. Excellent stuff. Very moving.

Thank you came for inspiring hunters, sharing your story and being a light in this world

Another great hunt Cam. Always appreciate your passion for the animals we hunt. 👊🏼♾️
How can they be so friendly with the little bear?? That's incredible and awesome...😮😮
Loved it. Your respect for the bear is honorable. Keep it coming.
Spectacular film and what a great family and place to hunt with the Rivets!! Hope to some day get my 1st bear!
About time we start seeing some more hunts!

Google Steve Rinella for some real hunting and tracking. This lazy boy is just Baiting timid black bears here.

You are the man, my friend !
Great insight Mike!
Mr rivet and his family look like the epitome of the AMERICAN DREAM 🦅🦅🦅
Except they are Albertain, so practically American but without the rights!!! Hahaha we albertains refer to our province as little Texas.
So, when's bush dragon 3 coming out???

Awesome, really enjoyed this video.
Another amazing film 👏
Great episode, love the respect
Why did you chase him as soon as you shot him? I’ve never seen that strategy before
I believe this is his way of counting coup. He tries to get close enough to touch the bear as his life leaves the body. They threw up an explanation on the second bear.
I was thinking the same thing
What is the purpose of chasing the bear right after the shot?
Aussie bowhunter definitely one day be on the list to come over
Don’t go to his unit, he’s

Got my first bear this spring.
