- On 3 April 2017, Covent Garden's famous flower market moved to its third location -- this one just down the road from the market in Nine Elms. We got up very early in the morning to chat to traders about the art of selling flowers. It turns out they've got some salubrious clients...
Not being from London, that Rob interviewed at 1:00 might be the most "London" looking trader I've ever seen 😂
Do you mean New New Covent Garden Market? And in 5 years it will be New New New Covent Garden Market.
in 50 years: new new new new new new new new i'm tired for typing these new words covent gardens lol
and the old Covent Garden Market will be the ancient Covent Garden market
James Funnell There's another Covent Garden in the county where Shakespeare was born. It's in Leamington. And I happen to live near it.

I have been following this construction for years from trains just before I get off at waterloo
correct me if i'm wrong but many florists have their flowers delivered/ordered direct from Holland...seen many a "NL"-reg trucks outside flower shops
Vincent de Guard one of the first close ups of flowers shows Dutch ones (J Boon). over here in the Netherlands, the flower markets are shrinking because of direct internet trading. you would not believe how big some of them are.
Londonist I would love to see another video like this on Billings Gate market if you ever get the opportunity 👍👍
Is this where I would go if I require a shrubbery?
I was doing that in NYC for a while. Yeah 0400... yaaaawwwnnn. But it was cool.
Awesome!
"has experienced most things" Now thats a caption I want
would like to see the new market to be build in 5yrs be a clock auction like in holland its the way forward ,as the flower industry is 20yrs behind the dutch time to catch up just look at the other videos on RUclips ,plus think it would benfit growers as they get the true value of there flower
Would love to see a video on Billingsgate Market
Any idea what's happening to the fruit & veg market it not as glamorous as the flower market but it still important
When did they separate the flower and fruit/veg markets? Was it when they moved from the original Covent Garden (as seen in Hitchcock's "Frenzy") or was it more recently?
But great video.
Description issue. Lifetmie.
