This is a brilliant idea for a series. I would love to see an episode on Creation-E/Enigma. And I love Sauvage, but I will keep an eye out for these recommendations for sure.
@@TheFragranceApprentice Elyisium by roja dove would be a good one also i have it love it but would like to see some alternatives as i always spray heavy and dont want to go through it too quick
Though i dont like much sauvage and the fragrances that satellites it, I really enjoyed this first video of your new series. I find very original the categories you use to explain the similarities in the fragrances. The style demonstrate your knowledge in the matter. The fluidity also demonstrate you enjoy it a lot.
George the Fragrance Apprentice is fragcom’s Dior Sauvage. Because can be at times decisive but his fans do love and adore him. Great videos series concept. Can’t wait to see more from that algorithmic head of yours.
Great video idea George! I was expecting the "wildcard" to be something super snobby that was "Sauvage if made by blind monk perfumers who only used the finest flower that only grows on one side of one mountain" but you picked alternatives that I think were all fairly priced. Can't wait to see which frag gets the honor of being your next in this video series.
George, you’re amazing. Great idea for a series! One thing I love about your channel is how, because of your immense fragrance knowledge, we all grow stronger with you. Your videos always stand out...in fact you could say that your videos are Sauvage. Furthermore, I would dare say that we have similar taste and personalities, despite the fact that you live all the way across the Atlantique. Yes, those lovely lovely oceans...so good at performing their ecological service as major reservoirs of carbon. Finally, I hope you realize that this whole time, I’ve been speaking in code. Be well and cheers, m8. 👍🍻
I got a sample of Sauvage and it just didn't work for me, but you peaked my interest with Prada carbon one, think that might be better on my skin. Great video, because I don't like Sauvage I only watched it to support your channel, didn't think I'd get a tip out of it.
Great video George. I know you said that the day you review Millisime Emperial will be your last review and the end of your Channel. But just with the reality of life that sometimes death comeS unexpectedly maybe you could do the review but hand it off to a loved one. So that if you do pass unexpectedly they can upload it on your behalf and will give closure to what I consider a great body of work. I know it's a bit morbid but I love and respect you brother and only wish that you're work has a fitting end. Much love from the USA
Really like this series George! I've smelt Ventana, it's definitely a great clone. I have the original Sauvage so haven't gotten around to buying it but it's good. For sure.
Yes sir! Love this style of episode. I’ve smelled Sauvage a few times and it doesn’t click with me. Same with Explorer, actually. I’m going to have to check out Deep Blue and Iris Cedre after your thoughts today.
I’ve enjoyed your channel, but this series will set you apart. Brilliant idea. Subscribing now, and looking forward to this type of a video for Acqua di Gio Profumo!
Great video. I enjoy Sauvage but man I've got it locked in for PLR Carbon, It's by far my favorite of the two. Explorer is great too. Starting to binge more of your vids now =)
Ok George lets get this straight. You praised Chaos Fragrances for having interesting / cool topics, not verbatim. Might i just say that i did say before that yours are just as good. Now youre not just the best with videography but even topics too; this is really a great topic with amazing content. Amazing!
No, not really. Just being objective. What you have started here is really bloody brilliant! Most reviewers may have done something similar in the past but never in one video is it all contained. You sir, have done exactly what i think nobody ever has. I already have explorer, carbon and iris cedre but if i didnt have those, this video right here would have convinced me to do so as ill go get polo deep blue next haul from fragX. :)
Brilliant vid, just found your channel searching for exactly this type of video and you delivered! Definitely going to give Polo Deep Blue a try, sounds like something I'd like. Liked, subscribed, and thanks! :)
Great concept. I only own 20 fragrances, all designer, so this kind of video will help me focus on things I like & broaden my horizons at the same time.
Yes please, continue with this. 👍 I was just looking the other day fragrances in my collection and was like: I like this fragrance which fragrance I should buy next or maybe blind buy.
Really enjoyed your video and this series. I'd like to see a Bleu de Chanel or Creed Aventus episode as well :) Nice Highland Park 12 on your shelf btw.
If we're talking Ambroxan, how about Molecule/Escentic 02? And how did you not mention Office? ;-) This is a great idea for a series as it showcases the now dwindling art of fragrance recommendation that you'd get in a decent shop (Selfridges/Harvey Nicks etc). Looking forward to the next episodes!
This is a great series idea, funny enough I love Dior Sauvage EDP and I recently picked up Mont Blanc Explorer and I really like that one too so great recommendation haha looking forward to future episodes.
The Apprentice has now become the Master. I used up a whole bottle of Ventana a couple years ago when I was a noob and a freshie fanboy, its great stuff and was extremely close to the sample of Sauvage I had.
I love this new series. I really look forward to more. So much so, I did my 5 for ish. I tried not to double up on your recommendations but Carbon is too perfect at the 2-spot! lol 1. Zara - Scent #2 (previously called Aromatic Future) 2. Coach - Coach for men 3. Escentric Molecule - Molecule 02 4. Dolce & Gabbana - Light Blue Eau Intense 5. Yves Saint Laurent - Tuxedo (hmmmm)
What a great concept! Looking forward to this expanding over the year.. I’m in the same boat of “can’t stand Dior sauvage” so these alternatives look really good especially the Prada Carbon
One fragrance that I did not care for much but seems to garnish me more compliments than the majority of my collection would be Coach platinum. If Sauvage had a baby with Aventus, Coach platinum is what you get. The amounts of women that approach me and inquire about it when I'm wearing is quite puzzling
I love Hugo Boss Dark Blue, as my favourite old “blue” fragrance. It’s discontinued but it can still be found on Amazon for about £35 for 75ml. Notes of geranium, mahogany, benzoin, cedar, ginger, and more.
S.O.S. Help George, Valentino Uomo & Prada l'homme will be discontinued??? I just heard it from Sebastian from the channel "Smelling Great Fragrance Reviews". Time to make those phone calls . As an Iris lover those are my favorite fragrances
Hmm. I like the different categories you're using. Interested to see you take on other popular fragrances in this series, ie YSL LNDL, Armani Code, and of course Aventus.
I’m interested in getting a 2 oz Explorer. Do you know how tall the bottle you have is? I’m trying to fit it into a 3.5 inch height space. Random question I know but I don’t have much space on my shelf but want to fill it up.
Agreed! I don't think there's any out there that compare. I did recently pick up a bargain bin frag that does channel Fahrenheit's violet leaf note a bit but frag doesn't last unfortunately.. original penguin iconic blend. I love it's opening blast though and would recommend giving it a shot. ~$15
This new show has so much potential.
Cheers, I'll do my best. 🙌
Agreed 👍

This is a 'notch above the rest' frag related content. Bravo!
Nice improvisation to the sea of boring lists out there.
