a really informative video.i have a 2006 eleie and ill be upgrading the speakers and wasnt sure what to take apart and what not too.so by watching ur video u saved me A LOT of time n headache...so alls i have to do is JUS POP the speaker grill off! sweet i dont have to tear the whole door aprar. ty for the video
I'm working on one right now and I got stuck on the little small panel that connects to the Run Channel then God for your video I was getting ready pretty much to break it extra thumbs up on this
1:55 DO NOT just “pull it off”. There are tabs at the bottom that you WILL break. Pop the top loose (about 1”) to release the panel clip, then lift up and out.
GuntherSnaps there are two hook-shaped plastic pieces on the bottom. I know because they broke just yanking it off as you demonstrated. Pulled the broken pieces out with pliers. They may be different for different model years (mine is a 2005) but they absolutely broke off. The trim piece seems to be secure enough with just the top clip but I only fixed it an hour ago so the verdict is still out. I’ll gladly show you pictures of the broken clips since you seem to doubt my comment.
GuntherSnaps to be fair, the rest of the video was spot on. However, you may want to inform your viewers that the panel clips tend to pop out of the panel and stay on the door. The panel is difficult to put back on the door that way. I found that popping the clips out of the door using a panel clip remover then putting them back on the panel made reinstallation much easier.
Amanda Lentine you might need to buy a window regulator. Remove the door panel and check out the connecting linkage. If I ever replace my window regulators I will post another video
I just picked up a new regulator, that was definitely the problem, the whole window was right on it's track. Guess I'm learning how to do something new tomorrow :) Thanks for your help
Hi, I need to remove the DRIVER'S SIDE door panel and it has both power locks and power windows. How different is it vs. your video? Thanks in advance.
Hi Gunther, i have a 2003 Honda element and the drivers side rear door does not catch on the bottom so i'm thinking the cable for the bottom broke. do you have a video on how to remove the rear door panel before i go blindly into taking it apart and breaking something? thanks in advance Jim
I have the same issue as Jim with the drivers side rear door not latching on the bottom, I can see and hear the assembly rattle and hoping that I can remove the door panel and see what parts need replacing in there. Was that video ever made? Great job with this one btw, I like the tunes as well! Kara
Hey Jim, I have the same problem currently. How were you able to resolve this issue? I see that the latch inside the door is loose, and I am wondering if you were able to replace this yourself?
i haven't tackled it yet and put it on the back burner for now (i was just handed a $620 plumbing bill and that was the discount, old houses suck when a pipe bursts in a wall) anyways i'll probably look at it this November when i have the time (heading to Alabama for 2 months than out west for some camping in my teardrop)
Hi Gunther, just found your channel and subscribed the other day.. I was curious if you ever did a video for the rear suicide door panel. I have a dent I'd like to try to push out but I need to get to it from the inside. Thanks for the informative videos. I'm just to the north of you in Madison WI. Know of any Element meetups in the area? Doug-
So I've been googling how to remove the suicide door on a honda element but this video keeps popping up so I'll gladly ask you instead. How do I undo the yellow electrical connector for the suicide door? There are 2 connectors you need to undo to remove the door, I got 1 but can't unclip the yellow one. There is no visible way of doing it. Thanks.
john doe I have another video how to take the suicide door panel off. I’m not sure which clip you are taking about off the top of my head. If you see it in that video can you give me a time stamp?
@@GuntherSnaps I appreciate the quick response. Theres a grommet by the door hinge of the suicide door that exposes 2 plastic connectors when removed, I think ones for the speaker and ones for the lock. I found the rear door panel video shortly after I posted the comment, unfortunately couldn't find what I was looking for.
I don't know off the top of my head. take a picture of you want and leave it in a comment on my website hondaelementparts.com - just click blog and drop it in a comment on any of the articles. and then let me know which one you left it on and I'll see If i know how to undo it. I would have to take my door panel back off, maybe I could make a video if I knew which one you are talking about!
Any idea why all my right size speakers are not working? I just noticed last night and it seems very weird bc it is only the ones on the right size! I will appreciate any suggestions Thanks in advance
Alberto Gonzalez uh hard to say. Obviously could be a wiring issue. Both front and rear door speakers are not working? Did you check the balance on the stereo? Could be switched to left channel only. Could be blown out speakers. Could be faulty wiring. Do you have a oem radio or aftermarket?
GuntherSnaps I already check the balance and everything but like I said before it is only the ones on the right size front and rear that's why seems a little weird for me! I would keep trying thanks so much for your help
i would take the radio out and check the connection behind it and then take the speakers out and check the connection to them. I have another video which shows you how to get to the rear speaker. Do you know how to take the radio out? I can make a video showing you if not...lmk good luck with your hunt. I would probably advise to check the wiring at this point. let me know if there is anything else i can do to help - please consider subscribing for future element related videos!
I have Honda Element SC 2007 I need the four door panel for my car. I found in junker the four door panel but is for Honda Element 2006 My question Honda Panel of 2006 is the same size as Honda panel of 2007.
I need to replace the window regulator because the window will not go up and I do not hear a motor running when I push the button. I love your delivery and wish you would post a video on this. someone else has, but he is annoying to watch and talks about everything forever....I can't watch the guy. Please make a video on this!??
Nancy Will aww thank you for your kind words! Luckily I have not had any problems with my window regulator. When I do I will make a video for you! But fingers crossed, I won't have any problems. Maybe I will make a video for you anyways going over everything you need to do to replace it! Thanks again for your kind words
What year is your Element? Why does the speaker panel in my 2008 seem part of the door panel. Does anyone know if this changed in 2008 from earlier versions?
Thanks. I hear in 2007 they put in side airbags, which might explain the change. So I can't get the speaker panel off as it seems to be part of the door panel itself. Did anyone else have this problem, I wonder? I can't figure out where to go from there.
Sorry. I was wrong on this. The speaker panel does come out as it shows in the video. The look of it being part of the door frame is deceiving to me. Great video.
@@GuntherSnaps Whatever you do , do it your way and keep doing it. I should not have mentioned the music. You produced is a well thought and helpful video. Thank you.
thanks- this was super helpful. i was able to use this video to do the job myself and avoid paying the mechanic.

Awesome video. To the point without a lot of fluff. Good job, you showed me exactly what I needed.

Quick and easy. Thanks.
Very helpful. Thanks! Much easier than the Driver's side which I had to take off about a year ago.
Greggmcg1969 same exact process for the driver's door!

ZeroNilNada that little front black plastic piece? You just watched me NOT break anything. But okay zero, whatever you think.
