People are saying it will be too easy. Those people have clearly never completed a perplexus before. You could spend hours and hours on those things without getting anywhere.
I can complete original in about 2-3 min...... I've also completed rookie, warp, almost twist (I made it to 29) epic i haven't really tried to beat it.... I guess I like to mess around on that one ? AND THE DAMN DEATH STAR oh. my. god it's _so_ hard to even _see_ where you are and it has _really hard_ obstacles! I've also completed off brand ones (I've nicknamed them orbital and galactic (I have one that I still haven't named)) I have both perplexus minis but none of the perplexed go's. I don't have draco, q-bot, lightspeed or revolution I am a speedcuber so when I saw this..... My two favorite puzzles..... COMBINED! Man..... That was exciteing!
@@aarongilbertphonetube219 I did the rookie. That's my limit. The epic I used to have was actually broken, so I never even bothered, and I can't get past 60 on the original (with consistency, anyway - my farthest might have been in the 70s). I just find it really frustrating, and I stop once I start worrying that I might impulsively break it. I know I would never actually do it, because if I had even a slight tendency towards that, my phone would not have lasted this long with only a couple clumsiness-induced scratches. But I do start worrying about the possibility after around half an hour, and then I don't pick it up again for weeks just in case.
My uncle is the inventor of Perplexus and I have most of them, I got this one today. I'm actually impressed with the build quality. It's also quite fun and about as difficult as "Epic" since its only a 2x2 the Rubiks part is fun and not too difficult to figure it out. A 3x3 Rubiks cube would have been much more difficult. I've only got half way though so far, and it's a bunch of fun. The mix of the two brands come off really well.
Its great to see Rubik's coming up with something new and creative, although it looks like the turning quality could be improved. I don't expect corner cutting or speed-cube like turning but this thing looks like a pain to turn at all and I'm sure they can do better than that.
@@Keldor314 The mechanism doesn't have to be loose enough to create those kind of gaps or corner cut at all but I'm sure its possible to make it turn better than this. For example the Clover Cube Plus is a 2x2 mixed with the complex mechanism of a Clover Cube, it doesn't corner cut much if at all but the turning is still excellent when it doesn't catch. The issue with this puzzle is that during the turn the movement is still difficult, stiff, and unpleasant. Whereas on the Clover Cube Plus and most other similarly ambitious 2x2 variants, the turning is still smooth once you initiate the turn. I feel this kind of refinement is something Rubik's has always lacked, so although this puzzle is a clear great step for them, they do need to learn to build better quality puzzles.
I just purchased this. My initial thoughts: +great idea/concept +many fun routes to get through +decent price at $15 -poor construction, feels cheap, likely would not last long -does not turn well -numbers on the tracks can be difficult to read
I have this Rubik’s Perplexus. It is nice but i have lost the small sphere/marble through the gaps. Is there any way that i can buy a replacement marble anywhere? Or can I at least know the size of the marble?
Weird. Mine is not clicky at all,it feels like it’s turning on its own. I think there might be something wrong with yours because mine turns smooth as a butter
This puzzle is a great idea

The star wars one was clearly pain

That is an incredible idea! I will absolutely buy it when I can get my hands on it

Keep in mind the mechanism has to be very tight or else the steel sphere (err.. ball bearing!) will fall out through the cracks.

Similar to the im-puzzle-ball, a maze within a 3x3.

So cool!
Is this actually difficult to solve?
I doubt it a little bit, but I have not tried it (yet).
And is it good quality?
I currently have one, it is really fun. Medium quality and very hard. I got it at Target
@@MrUprise Thanks for the answer!
I really recommend it

Being Rubik's Ambassador has its perks ;)
wow omg
What's your on?
This thing looks incredibly cheap
@@ffsnipe8298 rubiks company by now seems to completely rely on brand recognition to sell whatever they bring out. It's kinda sad really...
Feels cheap too. The weight is nice but the plastic feels unfinished on the edges.
Good job Rubik
