@@unreal5631 That was just a mod. In the actual game, you just get a menu that asks if you want to try again or quit after you lose in Arcade Mode instead of having a continue countdown like in the past entries. I'd know that since I've seen some gameplay videos of the game's Arcade Mode.
*Not giving them an excuse* , but I feel like the fact that this game was developed straight for consoles instead of arcade first like every other Tekken game is why they didn't add a continue screen this time The special intros are awesome, but the continue screens add personality to the game too, it shouldn't be removed
I like and love all of the continues but the best continues for me and that should return are the ground continues from the first 3 games on PS1 Tekken, Tekken 2 and Tekken 3.

Tekken 8 was the first game to skip an arcade release and go straight to console, so they didn't build it into the game. A lot of people miss it, though. Hopefully, they'll bring it back.
TTT2’s ‘Continue ?’ is the most wholesome version in the series.

Actually you can launch an animation backwards in the game. There are options for this in the "Calcel Extra Data"
