The best part of the whole movie is when the prince yeets himself out the window. Hands down
Yeah lol
Yea lol
I'd honestly want a Cinderella movie but its the Prince's journey while Cinderella stays in the castle because they switched or something
Mhm
*YEET*
When the stepmother said “bibbidy bobbidy boo” in an evil villain voice, I knew this would be a great movie. When the prince JUMPED OUT OF A WINDOW I knew it was a masterpiece. 10/10 Would watch again.

What I love about this film is that Cinderella purses her happily ever after without magic, no, with magic actively working *against* her.
Ooh perfectly put! Didn't think about it that way

Is your pfp Haruhi?
And to top it off she was the only Princess in a sequel to have her happily ever after stolen from her. After receiving it. And this time she finally stands up to her Step mother on her own

When an actress is able to make the phrase 'Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo' sound legitimately threatening, you know she's not getting paid enough.

Things I love about Cinderella 3:
- It humanizes Anastasia
- Shows even more how incredibly cunning the stepmother is
-Acknowledges the whole how more than one girl can have the same shoe size
-Shows Cinderella as a stronger person while keeping her kind and caring feminine character traits by having her to things herself instead of just having her happy ending handed to her
-The prince has a personality
Overall I love this movie
Wow that's a lot of likes, thanks guys!
Anastasia is humanized way more in Cinderella 2 tho. I think they should have at least added an aspect of that storyline
@@titoakin7489 I think that story is supposed to happen after Cinderella 3 because in the credits of Cinderella 3 there is a picture of Anastasia and the baker

Flynn Rider is a masterpiece of a Disney character
Also Prince Naveen has a solid character arc
Also Prince Philip jokes about giving his horse no carrots so at least there's some personality
And he's not a prince, so he actually has personality.
Edit: I was wrong. He is a prince
@@genericname2747 hmm good catch. when you consider Aladdin, Kristoff, John Smith (the love interest in P. 1), and Shang in one bucket, and compare them to Eric, Charming (in C. 1), and The Prince... you're definitely onto something. (Naveen still stands out as an exception tho)
@@simplebutpowerful Maybe Naveen has a personality because he spends most of the movie having to act like a normal person/frog?
Umm..
About the whole "Only one girl has this size of shoe" thing, the fact that the shoe is glass is actually INCREDIBLY important.
First of all, we have to all be aware that feet are different. Toes (Typically the big one) have different shapes and curve in different ways. Normal shoes are made of softer materials (Or at least they are on the interior) and are made that way to be comfortable for different shapes of feet. The glass slipper was designed specifically for Cinderella's feet, and glass isn't flexible meaning that nobody could just squeeze it on. If the shoes weren't tailored for Cinderella's exact foot shape, then she would be awfully uncomfortable with them on. Combine that with the fact that Cinderella already has unusually small feet, and you have yourself an "okay" explanation.
to answer the other question of "If the shoe fits perfectly why did it fall off?" this can be explained similarly. Consider that Cinderella had been dancing all night. What happens when you exert yourself like that? sweat. Glass can't exactly absorb sweat as other shoe materials do. Cinderella's feet got a bit sweaty when she was running down the steps, and her glass slipper slipped off. Honestly, I'm more surprised she didn't lose BOTH of the shoes.
This has been a ted talk about feet, shoes, and a fictional, animated kids movie.
This is a very good point you brought out!
Thank you!
@Lydia Walton There actually is an answer to this. If you look at all the other things that Fairy Godmother created, you see that they weren't created, rather transformed. Pumpkin into carriage, mice into horse, torn dress into new dress, you get the idea. But the slippers were not magically transformed, they were magically created. There is a difference and the effects are different too. Your welcome ;)
@Lydia Walton Eh, its just the explanation I thought of. I do wish they had clarified more, but then there wouldn't be room for theories
@Lydia Walton I thought of it myself, though I don't doubt that there are other people who have had this idea before. Theories are just ideas meant to be shared.
I love how he doesn't mention Anastasia's relationship with the king at all despite how important it is to her arc😂😂

I think that Cinderella 2 is just a bunch of stories together and while the first one is right after they marry I don’t think the others are. They never said that the Anastasia thing happened before/ after Cinderella 3. I could’ve been because the stories are kinda random.

She married the Prince's father, you can see when she hands him back the sea shell. She touches his hand, and a major theme of this movie was touching a hand leads to romance. Her eyes feeled with tears, whe. his words spoke to her soul. Its like she couldn't keep her hands of him, she jumped on him and gave him a passionate hug. Than the camera panned away. Its obvious she fell for him.
@@lalaorange5398 Just checking but, this is a joke right? Because she can't have married his father, for obvious reasons, it's implied that the Prince's mother looked like Anastasia with the red hair. I think Cinderella’s “improvement” make sense but isn’t really an improvement. She always was like this, however from years of abuse from the stepmother she lost hope of leaving that place. As a female in that time period you can only get out of that situation if your guardians die or if you marry out. Meeting the prince she say her way out she got hope again, thus in this movie when they want to yank it away from her like they did everything else she finally takes a stand and fights for what she wants
Jeez even nowadays... when you endure over 10 years of psychological abuse and gaslighting its hard to know who you actually are, especially if youre a literal child at the beginning like Cinderella was.
Excellent point. I hate it when people call Cinderella passive or weak or whatever. She was doing the best she could in her circumstances. In this movie, the circumstances had already improved by meeting the Prince so she could maximize that chance for a better life.
Out of the 3 original Disney princess she was already the less passive one but this movie really gave her much more strength. I kind of wished that the Sleeping Beauty would have gotten a sequel because they could have developed Aurora’s character.
@@artsenal714 I don't think they gave her more strength.. She already had the same strength in the original. she just needed to know that, if she fought, it wouldn't be a hopless battle.

Tiny detail, but I can't stop thinking about it. In cinderella they don't just look for a girl with approximately a four and a half shoesize, like is suggested in this sequel. They're looking for CINDERELLA'S feet. It's a GLASS slipper, meaning it doesn't give and it's perfectly moulded to Cinderella's feet. So while a lot of people might fit into a four and a half size shoe, nobody would have the EXACT dimensions of cinderella's feet, except for... cinderella! true, a smaller foot might be able to fit into the shoe (even though she already has very dainty feet), but they would then just slip out of them once they'd start walking... I have heard this criticism before, but that's the whole point of having glass slippers: only one person fits into them. You can levy that criticism at Into the Woods, though: the slippers there are made of some type of gold thread....
THAT BEING SAID Seamus, great job on the video otherwise! I'm really liking the content that you're putting out recently and I always look forward to seeing your videos!
Are the slippers in Into the Woods made of gold _thread?_ I always thought they were supposed to be made of, y'know, gold-gold.

I feel like if Disney sequels were considered part of the plot of their world and relevant people would rate Cinderella so much higher as a Disney Princess
Honestly, yeah. I hate Cinderella when compared to other Disney princesses (no fault of her own, I know), but this movie would bump her up considerably.
...yes...YES!!!
It would mean that compared to Disney Princesses such as Aurora and Snow White, she actually have a character. Personality. A character arc. A relatable character as a Whole. Compared to the picture perfect princess in a fairytale story with no redeeming qualities, other than just sitting there, or let the prince save her. A badass character that decides to take matters into her own hands, and fight for it. She as a character fits so much more towards today’s standards of what we would look at in a good character.
Bi Cycle why do u hate Cinderella? Not hate or anything but that kinda shocked me a bit.
Just the overall idea that she didn't work for her happy ending, it just came to her. And her prince has the personality of a floorboard.
The thing about Anastasia is that she's the "Slightly better, more empathetic" of the two sisters. She Wants to be loved the way Cinderella is. Her sister doesn't care At All about being loved - she cares about money and status. Exactly what her mother cares about. Exactly what she's raised them to care about. This is canon, i believe. [I've forgotten where I read it from but... I will probably double check later. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.]
She has to go against her mother, to get her own happy ending, in both movies.
The two movies are splits of 'what would happen if' scenarios. Which is why I love them both. I've definitely wandered mentally down both roads.

There's one big mistake they made in Cinderella III. It wasn't the Prince's idea to do the slipper thing. It was the King's idea because he was determined to have his boy marry the only girl he showed interest in. It would have made more sense for the Prince to make fun of his father.
The Grand Duke said in the original film that the Prince had said that he would only marry whoever fit the slipper
@@Inkyminkyzizwoz
When did he say that? If he did, he stated it wrong unless the Prince stated that after the King made the degree approving of his father's plan believing that it would work to find the girl he liked. Maybe they should have showed the two talking about the Grand Duke previously addressing a concern of multiple girls fitting into the slipper and being in the wrong girl and wondering if he was right.
Here's an idea to narrow the search. Cinderella was the only blonde in the kingdom. Bring all the blondes that fit the slipper. I don't know how the King didn't realize it's the wrong girl by the hair color.
@@nathenewendzel1825 When he was trying to tell the King that she got away leaving only the slipper behind

I believe in the credits there is a picture of Anastasia meeting the baker again on her own. So I guess she does find true love for herself.
Also, I personally like how her mother and sister are turned into frogs and she isn’t. People that do wrong still have to face consequences, but sincerely trying to be a better person and learning from previous mistakes is courageous and righteous. There are simply going to be people that deserve second chances and those that do not. But if we keep on trying to be better people, then (wouldn’t you know it) we can better ourselves. Not just because society says so, but because we gain personal growth. And, just maybe, it’s possible to make amends with those we’ve wronged.

Cinderella always had a personality. The problem with this era is that people think women have to act certain ways to be "empowered". Cinderella was a good role model because she was kind, sweet and never gave up on her dreams. She earned a Godmother because of her good traits and what Disney tries to say is that good deeds have rewards or if you keep believing in your dreams they will eventually come true. Walt Disney related a lot to Cinderella, and this movie even saved the company from going broke
Yeah a lot of “girl power” movies have a very narrow definition of what it is to be a strong female character. And a lot of the time it just ends up being toxic masculinity for women
Could not have said this better myself !!

The moment that the King hands Anastasia that little shell and tells her that everyone deserves true love has lived rent free in my mind since I was 5 years old. Every character in this movie has better role models for little girls and little boys than the original, it was way more entertaining, and it had a great message... The only thing I could remember from Cinderella III is Anastasia saying, “ Oh, I’m sorry grandma.” 😂

Only thing I remember is the evil stepmom turning into frogs.
As a little kid I actually thought the fairy godmother was Lady Tremaine's mom because of that line
When the Prince jumped out the window it looked like he was going to fall to his death.

I wanna believe that Cinderella 2 canonically takes place after 3, because it would explain why Anastasia was more nice to Cinderella in the baker story.
also next you should talk about Rescuers Down Under
I think the first two 'stories' in Cinderella II takes place before Cinderella III while the baker story takes place after the third movie
“The shoe testers”
You mean the Grand Duke and a Footman?
Cinderella three honestly gave cinderella and the prince some personality
And then she turns herself into Cinderella. Funniest sh*t I’ve ever seen.
I’ve watched this sequel more than the original Cinderella movie 🤭
The original is a beautiful animation, and fair for its time, but III is a better film overall.
@@EuroMIX2 ye
After all these years, we finally get an answer to the age old question:
Why is Cinderella 3 so good???
Yes!
I really love this movie, Cinderella was already out of the original princess, the less delicate one but this movie really gave her much more strength. They developed Cinderella and the prince relationship and gave him a personality. Also Cinderella didn’t only find her happy ending without the help of magic, but with the magic being against her.
I don’t think it gave her more strengh as much as it gave her more opprtunities to show her strength. She clearly had a lot in her in the original as well.
True Story: When I was young, I went to a summer camp in which we once had an activity to recreate and act out the Cinderella story. The issue was that this movie was the only version of the story I knew (I know, weird), so I basically somehow convinced everyone in the group that this was what happened and we did that. I don't know what they must have thought.
In summary, THIS FILM DESERVES ALL THE GLORY, AND IT'S A CLASSIC.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
I wonder how confused the people who set the activity up must've been

The movie was really a masterpeice, great and clear animations, and basically everything.
Funny how this sequel's animation actually looks better than the original does, funny with older Disney sequels it's normally the other way around.
Easy Cinderella III everyone has characters well everyone except the other twin sister with black hair. Kinda wish they put more thought on her character, lets her redeems herself by helping Anastasia or something then let Anastasia learns that there is more to love than loving a man which is a sisterly love and let them hv their freedom without their controlling and manipulative mother.
But she could have sisterly love with Cinderella.
Anastasia is the only nice sister in the grims brothers original tale. Even in the life action I believe she’s the only one that didn’t rip Cinderella’s dress. Drizella is pure evil 🤷🏽♀️
That would probably over complicate the plot and Anastasia wouldn't seem so special.
Lily Pond 100% agree
In the Drew Barrymore version of Cinderella one of them was nice to her.
I’m here to argue that there’s no reason to believe the events in Cinderella II did not happen after the events of Cinderella III. They do not describe the events that happened during or after the ball in the second movie and I think it is completely possible that Cinderella II actually takes place in the same timeline as Cinderella I I I. It would explain why Cinderella was so willing to help Anastasia meet the baker. you can’t even argue that the stepmother and Drusilla aren’t frogs in Cinderella I I because they both get turned back into humans at the end of Cinderella III. Also, Gus and Jack Jack miss the retelling of the Cinderella story at the beginning of Cinderella I I. Therefore, we have no idea what that story is and could easily be the retelling of Cinderella III.
If you don’t believe me make a video proving me wrong!
Also you should review Bambi I I
Really love this video!💙🐭👠🎃🧚♀️
I think it could be really complicated looking at things considering the new timeline.
So, the first story cant be cannon in the new timeline because Cinderella hasnt met Prudence yet, so it has to be from the original timeline, so it is not cannon anymore. So in this timeline Cinderella has never opened the curtains :(
The second story gets complicated as it doesnt fit with the new timeline cannon or the old one. In the old timeline Anastasia was never invited for a ball and never got her redemption util the new timeline, but in the new timeline Anastasia has no reason to go live again with her mother and sister and to talk with Cinderella as if they dont know about her redemption yet. We do know that Anastasia and the baker get together in the new timeline anyways - they appear together in a portrait at the end credits - but things get really complicated. Maybe the second story was never cannon and they met in another way.
The third story can happen in any timeline, it doesnt change anything in the grand scheme of things. A rat becomes a human. I prefer to believe it happened in the old timeline.
Things get even more complicated when you consider the characters are telling this, so *all* the stories must happen at one single timeline, since everyone's memory - besides Anastasia, Drizella, the stepmother and the godfairy - was erased one entire year back.

@@genzhours9466 the part where she gets kidnapped or the funny bit where Jane tries to sail away from Neverland and the raft sinks?
Cinderella 2 still is in the canon, this movie explains why she starts turning around. The second movie is like technically the 3rd. Cuz in the end credits Anastasia is with the Baker.
Ohhhhh that makes so much sense
Cinderella's growth in this story makes a lot of sense in line with her old character, actually. For years she just sat by passively because she knew nothing else. She felt there was no real escape and the only way to bear it was to keep a positive attitude. In this movie, she's already gotten a taste of the freedom she could have, and escape is right there, but then it's rapidly taken away unfairly. She now has a clearer exit plan from her miserable life, and with her stepfamily not in the house, it's a lot easier to actually get out and do anything because they aren't looming over her. When she gets to the castle, they don't know she's there and are preoccupied so she's able to get around and do stuff. Before, she didn't have any real plan to escape and so she just tried to keep her hopes up until she could. Now, she has the opportunity and is willing to do anything to secure it. She knows this only happens once in a lifetime and she has to get her escape. She's empowered by hope
Wait in the original, Cinderella wanted to go to the ball and used her brains and initiative to help free herself and not just her animal pals when revealing the other glass slipper to the Duke. Forget what the media says about her as she does take initiative to help herself escape from the abuse and her own goals
The original Cinderella is now officially one of the crappy sequels.
All hail Cinderella: A Twist in Time, the true canon.
I remember watching this as a kid and loving it. I'm definitely gonna watch it again now. You should watch Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins next (it's kinda a Disney sequel/prequel?)!
