Broxine LA has the most street corners of any state in California implemented into its infrastructure. Therefore, there are many more spaces and opportunities for artists to play in street corners and out in public. By doing so, record label producers usually wander around LA and observe these folk one by one handing out record labels to those they like. That’s how Billie and Finneas were noticed. To this day, every street corner in LA has a different act/performance.

Finneas has his place at the table. Everyone that has followed Billie's career knows of Finneas' role. It was NOT a secondary role by any means. Billie and Finneas are collaborative artists bringing different elements to the mix, a mix that garnered Billie the initial adulation/stardom if you will. And now Finneas is getting the attention warranted by his talents, his abilities as a producer, the singer of harmonies to Billies' songs, the guitarist and keyboardist on stage with her. What a pair. What a gifted pair of young artists/performers. Maggie Baird and Patrick O'Connell - their parents - are to be commended for nurturing such talents, such gifts in the children. Bravo! Don't wanna blame Billie, but as a vocalist, you can record vocals at a studio in 15 minutes, only because you got the voice. But as a producer, there is such an effort and time flowing in the creative process of building a song... Finneas is really talented and the fact that they record in their bedroom makes it really tangible that you can have success without stepping out of your comfort zone, without getting too professional. I really like that...
@@iemgote7249 no no no. Listen to the songs/covets she produced and made herself, like hotline bling, limbo and wish u were gay (before it was released)

Respect! I ran a studio for 10 years out of my 2 bedroom apartment in the Seattle area. Produced 200+ artists and 10k songs. I can relate to a lot of what he is saying. We live in a great time for music and exploration.
I don’t get why people keep bringing up Billie’s financial status and how her parents bought her into fame. Clearly from this video they weren’t living the glamours LA life as some people pin point it out as. Yeah her parents were actors, but they weren’t successful enough to make it into mainstream which is what people forget. There is a thing called working actors who aren’t living lush, extravagant lives.
Becky T Finneas has acted in some legit stuff. They have connections most musicians do not. That doesn’t matter too much anyway though. Connections only get you in the door. Gotta make great songs to last.
Finneas himself has worked hard and got himself opportunities on some pretty big projects such as glee, bad teacher etc. The parents however haven’t been in anything too notable. Which isn’t a bad thing, I mean they still could support their kids. I think people hear Billie talking about her spending at 13/14 and forget she was making music then. Or that she’s from LA and automatically assume she has connections. I mean maybe she does but at this point both her and her brothers talent stands for itself to me.
Whether you like their music or not, it is really inspiring, seeing that you really don't need a multimillion dollar studio. It's easy to lust after what you don't have, rather than use what you have to the maximum amount.
Wow this is so real.. Honestly my mom slept in the living room throughout my entire childhood, so we could all have our own bedrooms.. That's so wild to see your parents did the same thing.. This makes me appreciate you guys so much more.
that's what people don't understand... these kind of "overnight success" people... are actually the work of generations!! like, their parents make them compose music since they were kids, which means their parents themselves had to be somehow skilled too to help them/guide them... and both their parents either came from artsy families or fought to be artsy throughout their lives... it's not just a coincidence, and it's not something they started as a hobbie as kids, it's something nurtured
Episode 87: Finneas kicked out Ferb to team up with his long lost sister billie to create a multi-million dollar pop music empire. How dare you finneas, how dare you.
Imagine being their neighbors, hearing all the experimentation slowly form into individual songs, then listening to it on the radio a few months down the line
This just proves you don’t need a mansion, a studio, or all the money in the world to be successful. This is one of the many reasons why I love Bil and Finn so very much.. there such an inspiration and there not all caught up in all that stupid Hollywood stuff... I love them so very much ❤️
No disrespect, but I'd say the general consensus is that opposite is usually true. People born rich usually live off their parents money, and so never really learnt / needed to learn how to put the sort of dedication in, that being in a deprived living environment and watching your family struggling will give you.
I can relate to growing up in a small home and not really having anything fancy but also not needing anything fancy because you feel loved and inspired in every aspect of your life. It’s all attributed to the parents and how they’ve raised them. They encouraged their children to be free and creative without judgement. And how they let their kids have the bedrooms while they slept in the living room is such a deep and sincere act of love. You truly don’t need to be surrounded by materialistic things in order to feel so happy and loved. In fact I think more people that aren’t raised wealthy and being use to getting what they want, grow up to be more happy and fulfilled with their life. As banal as this is going to sound, when you don’t grow up rich, you get to experience appreciate more of the little things in life and that is undoubtedly what matters most. Finneas and his family are so beautiful. This was incredibly inspirational.
When you have someone who's not selfish. He could sing but he was using his talent to uphold his sister. got encouraged today even though, doing music all alone with God I will conquer. Thanks for the gift you have access to those kits and space to do your music. Thank your stars you used the opportunity.

People don't usually acknowledge the privilege that is for an artist to be born in LA, so it's really cool that he mentions it
From: MGR why is it a privilege to be born in LA?
Broxine LA has the most street corners of any state in California implemented into its infrastructure. Therefore, there are many more spaces and opportunities for artists to play in street corners and out in public. By doing so, record label producers usually wander around LA and observe these folk one by one handing out record labels to those they like. That’s how Billie and Finneas were noticed. To this day, every street corner in LA has a different act/performance.
@@longjohn2404 my man out here preaching about the STREET CORNERS but its simply that half the music industry lives and works in LA so if you want to connect thats the place to be.
Long John looool if only you could hear how ridiculous you sound
Andrés thank you. That man was talking garbage 😂
Watching him show us how he makes songs, really gets me. Because it's not just sound effects and like fake. No, this is real. And this is all him and Billie. That's what I love so much about their music. Like I'll listen to it over and over and try to catch or notice little things like sounds, echoes, harmonies, bass, and like I hear them and I'm just like "Finneas did that" awe my hearttt😭😭😭💕

Billie is SOOOOO fortunate to have such a wonderful and talented brother. She wouldn’t be half the artist she is without him omg.
i think she knows that he is a special one. maybe he is her inspiration for everything.

I kind of agree but on an artistic level I feel Finneas is fine without Billie as his music has zero involvement of Billie but Billie's music has 50-60% Finneas in it.
There is Finneas without billie
This dude is 22?! He seems 32. What a mature artist
Honestly I wonder if homeschooling makes stronger individuals....they both are mature and seem way more well adjusted to life than I would have been at 17, 22, shit I'm 33 ...still a confused fuck...lol
Life with me: Jessie Marie not always 😭 but yeah
Life with me: Jessie Marie depends on the individual tbh. My whole family was homeschooled but my sisters are so fucking smart and determined and I’m just not. But I feel growing up being homeschooled definitely helps your organization and self efficiency a lot more then just following school programs
He looks 35
Thought so too😅😅
Finneas has his place at the table. Bravo! Well done! Thank you.
Exactly! And both of them always make sure to mention each other all the time and give each other credit!
but like, dont you think they QUALITY of your creations or what you do matter more than quantity? like he does many things as you pointed out, but if it all sucks then does it actually matter?
This is the video for anyone whose ever thought of Billie as an "industry plant." They've worked so hard to get where they are.
My words exactly. I'm just blown away.

It’s crazy to think Billie grew up and still lives in a 2 bedroom house where her parents had to make the living room a bed room, while being the most streamed female artist this year. She’s only 17 and soon enough will be able to buy her parents a luxurious home. That blows my mind, she so amazing.

Honestly Finneas deserves so much more spotlight. ( It’s not billies fault most likely either he wants to be out of the spotlight or the record executives prefer Billie as a singular image rather than a duo). But honestly I love would love to see them as a brother and sister duo (like the carpenters except shit doesn’t hit the fan and it doesn’t end in complete tragedy)
They said in a recent interview, he’s grateful he doesn’t have the recognition that Billie has, because he can have a normal life. Billie kind hates that part, that she can’t just go to the mall without being recognized.
It’s honestly the perfect match. The brother that doesn’t care for the limelight and is insanely talented. The younger insanely talented sister who is ok with it

I was curious, so i went to the Grammy page right to the artist feature: In detail they both won the 3 Grammys for best song, record, album and Billie won best pop vocal album and best new artist and Finneas won best engineered album and producer of the year.

Alot of Billie's songs that I love besides you both's dope vocals is mostly the music. Finneas and Billie are geniuses wow.
And even if they were so entitled who cares talent is talent money doesn’t buy it
Finneas was Alastair on Glee. Her mom was on X Files, and Mass Effect. Not to mention countless more things. They were very connected.

When parents are loving like those parents are then the kids can grow their utmost potentials into fruits of creativity.
that's what people don't understand... these kind of "overnight success" people... are actually the work of generations!! like, their parents make them compose music since they were kids, which means their parents themselves had to be somehow skilled too to help them/guide them... and both their parents either came from artsy families or fought to be artsy throughout their lives... it's not just a coincidence, and it's not something they started as a hobbie as kids, it's something nurtured

This just proves you don’t need a mansion, a studio, or all the money in the world to be successful. This is one of the many reasons why I love Bil and Finn so very much.. there such an inspiration and there not all caught up in all that stupid Hollywood stuff... I love them so very much ❤️
Billy and Finny
Lacroix en fonte their parents are in Hollywood and they live in LA...
they still did have a good deal of money if they could afford those. they also had some connections from their parents
I thought it requires a like huge amount of money to have studio like that in home
Finneas is such an underestimated artist, his voice is absolutely beautiful and he is brilliant. I'm so happy hes FINALLY getting noticed.
what makes me happy is that my house is like this. you really don't need to live in a big mansion to have a home that's worthy of being seen.
When you have someone who's not selfish. He could sing but he was using his talent to uphold his sister. got encouraged today even though, doing music all alone with God I will conquer. Thanks for the gift you have access to those kits and space to do your music. Thank your stars you used the opportunity.
