@@plattinumfishing hey. How did you mount those downrigger? Are those Scotties? I have Lund Adventure and want to avoid drilling to install downriggers if possble. Cheers
@@marchatescheese it definitely helps fill the smoker! Lol. But hey you got the true natural ocean run salmon! Ours wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for stocking.
Thanks! I have a few different ones. My favourite is an older Fenwick thats a 9ft not sure of the model. I also love the okuma classic pro glt. You can't beat them for the price. Paired with convector or coldwater reels they are ready for anything.
You can tell by the way that whale stayed down deep and fought so hard it was a huge powerful fish. You were a long ways yet from landing it before it got off. Def 25 pounder if not tyee.
Agreed. I need to mount some holders that will allow me to get the tips close to the water. My rigger holders only allow me to tilt down to the side which causes problems with my dipsy rods.
Sorry buddy, but I own a boat in Alaska. Big kings in open water are very tough. Fish over 30 should be handled very carefully. No lines in the water. My opinion.
They are manuals they only tilt out the side and get into the dipsies. havnt rigged holders for em yet. when they are in the way i just move rods back. I dont mind em up easy to see the shakers. so gfy buddy.
Love it. Cant wait for the season to start
That why the big fish get big . They get off. Waiting for spring to get here. Lake Michigan has been good the last few years.

Love watching them get caught on the troll. Some beautiful fish! Howdy from CALIFORNIA! Just subscribed and gave you a 👍!
Some of the 20s this year have been fighting over there weight real spunky it awesome nice vid keep fishing
I agree! Had a few on we figured were over 25 but were low 20s. A bunch over 20 that were jumpers as well. Awesome season!
Looks like you got into some nice fish that day.
Hey, i fish off of Wellington. Looks like you were around palen bank? What was the biggest fish?
Yep close to palen! Been a good year so far. We went 9/13 that day, I was late getting cameras set up. 2 biggest were just shy of 20
What size boat looks similar to mine I want to set up for salmon great video!!
It's a 1650 rebel. Just over 16.5 ft long and 85" wide. Not a big salmon boat by any means but it does the job!

Nice haul. What's the limit out their?
Thanks! The limit for any of the pacific salmon species is 5 per person with a sportfishing license in Ontario.
Wow, that's killer, and here we're stuck with a limit of 2 in California.

Thanks! This was last Wednesday, July 1st

That fish had serious shoulders. There was no controlling it. It was most likely the biggest king I've hooked into. Can't win em all tho :(
which side of the Canadian border were you on?
Canadian side. Straight north of Rochester
down and tight on the rigger rods. it keeps chaos from ensuing on the back of the boat.

what port do you go out of?
Wellington, East end canadian side
Should have stopped the boat.
Tell us you have never really trolled without telling us lol
