This song was restored using the original source samples for each instrument. I used VGMTrans for ripping the sequence data, FL Studio for rendering the audio with the original samples, and Audacity for mixing everything together. I've tried to make it sound as close to the original as I can, though there could be some mistakes here or there.
You can find a lossless download for this song (and others) here:
drive.google.com/drive/folder...
If you want to use this in a video you're free to do so, though credit would be greatly appreciated! However, please don't just re-upload the songs yourself and claim them as your own.
I used the VGM Sound Sources Spreadsheet as a guide for finding which samples were which. If you're interested in this kind of thing, I'd highly recommend checking it out as it has information for hundreds of different games:

I'd love to restore video game music, how exactly do you achieve this?
mostly talking about getting the original samples, wouldnt you have to buy every single piece of equipment?
Luckily, most of the samples in this song are taken from sample CDs and not physical synths, so you can just download the CDs from somewhere like archive.org or the VGM Sources Discord, and then just extract the samples using a program like CDXtract (which _is_ a paid program, but it's fairly easy to...obtain through other methods). And for cases where they _did_ use physical hardware, most of these synths now have digital VST emulations which you can use instead. If there isn't a VST version of the synth then you're kind of out of luck, but so far that hasn't been an issue for me.
It's open at the moment, you can find an invite to it on the spreadsheet linked in the description of this video.
@@CloouMusic Much appreciated 👍
big oversight on my end because I almost religiously refer to that spreadsheet lmao
@@CloouMusic thanks a ton 🙏
This is exactly how i remember this
This is great! It is incredibly faithful, if someone told me it was taken from like an official soundtrack release or something I wouldn't even doubt it
Except that’s not the actual soundtrack version.....
@@Nic_2751 he never said it was the truth, he said it was believable.
@@SweepSwapInUrWalls except there is an actual soundtrack release that is official and sounds absolutely flawless, part of the Super Mario History and 30th anniversary CD’s respectively
@@Nic_2751 Personally I've never liked how the official version sounds. It uses the wrong samples for the "bahs", the vibraphone, and the trumpet, and most of the instruments seem to have either too much or not enough release. Part of the reason why I made this restoration in the first place was to try and fix those issues.
@@CloouMusic nah bro, it sounds like it has so much more life, the arrangement sounds almost like real instruments, the trumpet especially got buffed cause now it doesn’t sound like some flat midi even more than Sunshine’s brass
Also love how you re did the trumpet and bahs
So this what audiophile are saying about true music quality LOL. perfect
You did a great job restoring a song from my childhood! ❤
Thank you so much for remastering this song from the first video game I have ever played!
Can you please remaster the World 1 and Athletic Themes soon? I would love to listen to remastered versions of those two songs as well!
Now THIS is better than the original. Nice work.
one of my first games good to see other fans
You have some great tracks
Mmm yes… The childhood music I remember, but uncompressed. I love it. ❤️
One of the many theme songs of my childhood.
This song always reminded me of the Arrested Development TV show.
Amazing! BAH BAH!
Finally, the HD themed without the distorted bah.
If there is ever some kind of fan remake for source port then you have to remaster the music cuz this reminds me a lot of Sonic 3 AIR's remastered music
"bah"- NSMB Sountrack, 2004.
shoutout to desmume and drastic for not playing the track correctly as it only plays it in one channel instead of both...
Would you restore World 7 theme? It's so magical
YES
!!
0:35 "BAH BAH"
big ups man, I'd do restorations if I had the confidence to dig into the world of sample hunting but I'm fine with just soundfonts for now lol. ignore that other guy, all that stuff you mentioned just sounds wrong in comparison to the original 👌
FINALLY
BAH BAH (RESTORED)
Can you remastered alhteltic and ds wario stadium and waluigi pinball and also beta version of gba circut
This Is Great did you record it in FLAC because if you did it would be the full uncompressed music
FLAC is in the description.
it feels more... friendly ?
the new super mario bros ds website had the uncompressed song with the bahs being clearer. So, this is either another variant of the song with compressed bahs or the bahs cannot be uncompressed. I'm not sure!
But in don´t unsderstand how to rendering samples because in my chase some 2 instruments do not work, I don't know why.
Here they say buh or i hear boh, normally in the original they say baah with a higher voice but still good restoration
This restoration uses the same 'Paah' sample as the DS version of song. The version you're likely thinking of is the version from the 'Super Mario History' soundtrack CD, which uses a different 'Taah' sample. Many uploads of the song on RUclips use this version since it's higher quality than the DS version, so it's the version a lot of people are more familiar with.

Where did you find a Roland jd 990 vst and kurzweil k2500r vst
this is a different bah sound right?
Nope all the sounds are like the original
The bah sfx was a license free sfx iirc, just like the instruments it could be traced down to it's original highest quality
Top 10 music that will make you cry
#1
Wrong bahs but besides that so nice to hear with modern quality
Edit: nvm about the bahs
This restoration is based on the in-game version of the song (ruclips.net/video/2eU6ymqK01U/видео.html) which uses the same bah heard here. You're likely thinking of the version from the Super Mario History soundtrack CD (ruclips.net/video/YOxqgLUPFHg/видео.html) which has a number of differences from the original song, including using a different bah sample.
@@CloouMusic That’s actually crazy, I did not know that! I always thought I heard the cd version bahs on my DS. Definitely the Mandela effect messing with me

I do hate how you used the North American artwork when worldwide one is superior
He used it because he knows Mario vs. Luigi mode was *ALWAYS* the main game in New Super Mario Bros! And they won't censor him!
