I personally got myself this exact yak about 6 weeks ago, watched your initial review now watching this. By far one of the best tools I've gotten my hands on for fishing. And it's even better at least here in Illinois not having to worry about stickers registration year to year. Glad to see you're still enjoying this boat a year later, as I hope to enjoy mine for the years to come. Good luck out there!

Close to 66 and have the same truck as you so your videos were the final straw that made me decide this is the best choice. I have been changing my mind from one to another and thinking that I needed the 120 but seeing how stable it is for your I think the added length and weight would make it harder to transport and lift for no much gain. I especially like your review because it is not from someone with some vested interest in their review. Sure there are a few out there that are similar but it is clear that you use it often enough that even simple problems would be annoying enough for you to mention them. Thanks for you honest and comprehensive review. I guess Old town will thank you too because in a few days I am going to be ordering one. I just wish they had a color that was more hunting friendly as I hope this is usable for duck season.

I’m 325 and am wondering how wet it usually is by your feet. Also how much water comes in when we pull up the pdl drive. It’s like do I get the 120 because I need to or the 106 and have better maneuverability. I have a truck and I have a trailer. I’ll probably build a trailer for this regardless.

SUPER REVIEW, YOU DID THE OLD TOWN PROUD! I love how you ♥ the Old Town. I 💘 my Old Town Sportsman 106 too. My is the paddle only version and frankly I feel that the paddle only 106 versions don't get enough love in the fishing world. I originally wanted and went to buy a PDL version but realized that the PDL was overkill for my simple, very basic fishing needs. I'm glad I saved the extra dollars and stocked up on LEW'S Combos and other gear. At 70ish, I'll maybe upgrade to a PDL, THEY ARE AWESOME, but not anytime soon. BTW, Your LEW'S MACH CRUSH SPINCASTER Combo, got that! It's a great Combo and it's my SPINCASTER of choice. The rest of my fishing arsenal are BAITCASTERS. I have stayed exclusively with LEW'S for years now.
    TIGHT LINES!

it's plenty stable enough for big guys to stand and fish. I don't because my knee can and has collapsed at random times just standing on a floor. I've have stood and taken a piss out of the boat in shallow water. I have a boat that I rarely stand in because of my knee issues.

If it's 80lbs I would be fine after a long day of work....drop in and fish till dark but the end of the day... I don't know if I wanna try to load something that's 120lbs.
