I think the 120 would be difficult to rooftop. The 106 is pretty manageable, I don’t just lift it up there like I use to do with my old kayak. But it works pretty well. I love the kayak, I think you will to. Thanks for tuning in!
@@davidhughes8574 I lay it down beside my truck, then I lift the front end up and lean it onto the side of the roof (with a towel down to prevent scratching) then I lift the back end up and swing it into position. I’ll probably do a video on that this spring.

Your video doesnt help me....now I want one even more. ;-) Great video. This whole kayak think is brand new to me so I've yet to grab one but I've been looking at this one or the 120 but hesitant with the weight/bulk and transporting it in my truck bed (5ft ranger bed). What a beautiful lake as well. I need to find one of those close to me in central FL.
Haha… if hauling is an issue in the bed, you may want to consider the 106…. As it’s 10’6” as apposed to 12’. Kayak fishing is a lot of fun and is addictive
@@AverageDadFishing with the short bed I’m leaning towards the 106. I’m brand new here so I have been overthinking a lot lol. It’s easy to just go all in before you know anything but I’ve been doing a lot of research here and elsewhere.
@@AverageDadFishing yea the one I’m working with is right on the water and has demo days but the dock was destroyed in our recent hurricanes. Hoping they can get them back up and running soon.

I bought a bolt to replace how the rudder is attached to the kayak... I haven't installed it yet, I'm hoping that helps.. I have a few "upgrades" I'll be doing throughout the winter to get it ready for the spring and I'll put a series of videos out on that. Thank for watching.
I’m considering this same kayak, but it looks a little heavy for carrying on the car top. How difficult is it to get the yak on top, and did you see any problems carrying it there? Thanks!
I do car top this on an suv… it is a bit heavier than my last kayak, but I don’t have any issue getting it up on the car. I have carried it which is ok for short distances…I have also bought a cart for it as well. I love the kayak so far, I highly recommend it. Thanks for tuning in.

Research is always good… some dealers may actually have demo days where you can go give a yak a try.

Yes, I wear waders this time of year because in a lot of spots I'll hop in and out of the kayak.
