What caught my attention was that you appear to be using Stabilo highlighters where most of the other tutorials recommend using Expo Neon markers. I really like the colours you get from the Stabilo -- what are they like for cleaning off? Are they easy to remove or do they smear on the surface when you try to clean them.

Nice setup! My recommendation: If you use your DSLR as your main camera then you can get rid of the smudgy black background by increasing the ISO or by decreasing the aperture in your camera settings and your video quality will improve drastically. I hope you find this helpful
You can do that post-production. So once the video is recorded, you can use a video editing software to overlay images on top of the video feed. That means that when you recorded, you've got to use your imagination and pretend the image is there! But one trick I use in my videos is to use a black marker to add small dots on the screen so you know where to draw if you want draw arrows or annotate the overlay. It works well though it takes some getting used to! Check out the videos on my channel if you want to see an example ;-)

You can do that post-production. So once the video is recorded, you can use a video editing software to overlay images on top of the video feed.
