Bruh please whatever you do, don't stop mentioning the cost of ownership in your reviews. That is a very important part but for some reason all these other big RUclips Car channels never mention cost of ownership. Stating the cost of ownership is what sets you apart, in my opinion.
I prefer this over a polo anyday, maybe the power output isn't satisfactory, but every other aspect is..although I've given polo drivers a run for their money in this car, it tops at 189km/h...its a comfortable car, the 10k a month is abit far fetched...when I got it, I paid R2.4 insurance...R4.5 for installment since I put up a big deposit..its on easy on fuel to be honest, but I didn't buy it for fuel efficiency.. I think it all boils down to personal preference. This is a nice car, even for Men, you can always add a wing, diffuser and a lip for asthetics..my monthly cost for this car is roughly 8k...4.5 installment, 1.8 insurance, and the rest is petrol..haven't had any problems with it.
You're paying R8k after dropping a big deposit😏😏...I'm failing to see how is R10k far fetched for an average buyer who'll be buying this car with no deposit🤷♂️
Hahahhaa very funny video bro. 😂. Kanti, my gf and I have a 1.2 LS. I must say, it's faster than the previous Gen Hyundai i20, 1.2. Although I think power output is the same? Maybe it's a power to weight ratio thing. It's a pleasant car to drive if you don't mind gentle acceleration. A bit heavy on fuel though, as im getting about 7.3L / 100km, in city driving. On highways, I average around 5.2L / 100km. It has a pleasant cabin albeit the hard plastics, but you hardly notice that when you're in the car. Seats are very comfortable. Overall it's a nice car, I would say, but as I said yes, sometimes the power or lack thereof will let you down. We opted for the Kia Rio, as we were getting around the same installment quoted by Hyundai for the grand i10. So we figured bigger car for about the same price. All cars these days are expensive!! Dealerships will influence you to take balloon payments to bring down the installments.
Man's on his way to being one of the elite car reviewers we have in SA coz he's not running away from the actua financial l truth that hurts and while being funny at the same time 😄 😆 😂 ... waiting for more videos!

It’s a good car for those who don’t want stress of high maintenance and hijackings in SA. No turbo means no turbo replacement charges just a simple drivetrain. Not everyone has 500k to spend on a hatchback, there’s definitely a market for this kind of car Dr, even though it’s below your taste.
Aii khona you're right there at the end My brother😂😂😂 These cars are expensive....cabanga nje, approximately R10k p/m for a Kia Rio🤣🤣🤣....lapho you're a teacher & the car is already chowing +60% of your salary.....expenses are rising throughout the years, but the salaries are not rising by any chance or mistake🤣🤣😥😥😥.... The used car market is very tricky as you said, because you need to do research about the car you wanna buy for yourself & don't expect the dealer to give you all the info about the car because many are dishonest....You need an experienced mechanic, the VIN NUMBER of the car to check its history or profile & all of that😥.......eii kubiii

I didn't want this video to end 😂😁. let me just watch others. The cost of ownership calculations really do help, especially for us who are looking. and the complicated terms explained because hayi i really was just looking for a 'nice car-cute' lol without even considering re-sale and performance what what's.
Another well produced review. Great review as always. I have driven my friends Rio LS and I must say that it is relatively comfortable and does what it needs to do however, it does lack in power massively especially when going up a steep. I just wonder how it is if it's an auto.
Lol "less power ,less technology and more plastics" made me laugh. You can be as unique as you want... but a Polo is unbeatable, its quality and holds value like nothing else.
Rob, you're right, but not with all VW models. For example the wet clutch DSGs are just about as reliable as any other gearbox, when serviced. The dry clutch ones, in some many cases are grenades waiting to go off. The 1.4 litre twin charged models had problems with the block cracking between cylinders, the 1.8l turbo ones had problems with the injectors, but the 1.2L and 2L turbo engines seem to prove to be decently reliable, my 1.2L polo is going strong at 175000km with nothing more than scheduled maintenance like belts, fluids, brakes, shocks, battery and the timing chain, plus one piece of preventative maintenance by replacing the notorious plastic water pump with an aftermarket metal one so that I don't have to ever worry about it cracking in the future. My only complaint would be that the gearbox shifts real janky when you're idling around at low speed.
Hey Muzi, thanks for the video, there’s always something to learn when watching your content. Could you please do a Mazda 3 car review? I’m in the middle of getting a car and I’m torn between Mazda 3 and polo life (I’m a huge vw fan but I’m just concerned about the risks that come with owning a vw) 🙏🏾
the reality is you're less likely to get a finance with interest rate below 10%. i have top of the range credit score for one and no pointless debts and bills, but most i could fight for on my second car was 10% linked rate and on my first car i had got 10.85% fixed. in a nut shell, don't fool yourself when it comes to affordability just to attempt to impress people that don't even care about you.
Hi there Dr. I love what you do... Can you kindly review the Toyota Starlet and Suzuki Baleno, preferably mid spec... Its basically the same vehicle with different badges, I'm interested in seeing the spec levels, I've seen the Baleno offering more exterior and interior bits and costs less than the Starlet. (used market) Thanks.

But at the end of the day a Kia Rio is better than a polo in terms of costs bc a 5yr warranty is way better than a 3yr warranty. And u tend to forget that 93 percent of the people who buy the Rio are ladies ,grand parents who want a car that will take them from point a to b . Your reviews are power man! Give us a review of the Corsa next, thinking of trading in my 2017 model for the new one...
New corsa is a really good model quite expensive since it's a 208 twin and some less lux features from the euro model but a nice underrated car

Lol. The TSI engine and DSG gearboxes are the most unreliable in the segment. VW still riding the vdub4lyf phenomenon all the way to the bank.
