Your fabric dye is fantastic! The Canada Swap gift is FABULOUS! I hope to join in the next one. Great score with the clothes and thrift finds. As soon as your video started I noticed the tier stand and thought it was very lovely. Have a great couple weeks and happy stitching.
Congrats on all your finishes! You really are talented at dying fabric 😊 Your smalls gift is very special Love the thread bed. Great finds at the thrift store, I was on a Barbara Bourgeau Richards kick & bought a bunch of charts back in 2021, finished one, second one is almost done, still like to do the rest of them. I might even have that Christmas chart, I’d have to check.
@LadybugStitches thank you. For dying the fabric, I just wet it and then scrunch and twist. I dye it on a glass jar so it gets different amounts of dye on all the twists
Your first grey fabric you dyed is perfect for a 'storm at sea ship'. I have a Halloween pattern that would be great for that fabric. Working on my Halloween ornaments plus 'Witch Training Academy' by Kathy Barrick.
Thank you for the video. Great job on the fabric dying I love to do do that as well sometimes it’s a definite oops. I almost have my 55 starts ready to go just need to narrow down the last nine then go to go for Jan 1 as well.
Thank you. I can't wait to see the patterns you have chosen, I wonder if we have picked anything similar. I find with fabric dying you just have to jump in and not worry about the end results. I should try filming what I do but I have no set recipe but I do follow the same steps.
Yes I think you should do a fabric dying video I always like to see others techniques. I hope I can find some time this weekend to finish up my choices and I can send you a quick list of my choices to see if we have any duplicates. I know majority of mine aren’t large ones as well tried to make them attainable finishes in the same year.
@@carmencharles3842 I'd love to see a list. I'm just randomly picking pieces and have my starts picked up to the end of March but if we have duplicates maybe we could start them together on our birthdays, or even if we have the same designer. Most of mine are small or medium. I only have 2 full coverage and 1 large sampler on my list.
Yes to Thrifting! My favorite store is on Elizabeth Ave right next to the Piper's. Bought teo 5x7 frames for 50 cents each! Brand new and nothing wrong with them. Then I spent $25 on a delicious lunch and coffee at the jumping bean 😅 😂 (coffee is definitely worth the stop if you are Thrifting). 🎉☕
Also I am surprised with the quilting books and stitching books I can sometimes find at the value village on kenmount Rd. Doesn't hurt to check the libraries too for magazines. Sometimes they just want to clear out books and you would be surprised what you can pick up.
I've been to the one on Elizabeth Avea few times and actually bought a cross stitch there, but that's all I've found there. I usually get magazines and I've found dmc a couple of times at Value Village. This time I got the magazines at Previously Loved, the first time I've found anything there. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I usually stop for a Carmel hot chocolate at Starbucks
I really enjoyed the life update ❤ The sunflowers are really coming in! I did the same thing with my qsnaps for the same reason! I use hoops most of the time now but a couple 8x11s are still lurking 😊 Thanks for mentioning me! I hope you’re having a great October!❤❤❤

I love the way you dyed your fabrics! The swirls on the gray are absolutely gorgeous 😍 Your sunflower piece looks so close to a finish!

@@AdventuresOfStitching thank you. I use hoops occasionally but prefer qsnaps, I can never get hoops tight enough, I'm not strong enough.
@@stitchingontherock That totally makes sense!
