Also, storing your equipment properly keeps it from wearing out too, just because it's made to be outside doesn't mean you can't take steps to take care of it. And I remember when you bought that, and even then, they looked worn out.
I buy my tracks from teeth n tracks. Much cheaper than bobcat. They shipped same day and I had them the next day. Buy a pair and save the old one for spare. They are easy to change.
Your wasting your breath because he doesn't listen as he knows best so let him learn from breaking his machines all the time from misuse and poor storage
My dad had a saying: Look after your tools and your tools will look after you. I am not criticizing you but if we clean our tools and equipment after use we will eliminate surprise breakdowns. We will likely pick up on repairs needed before they break. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 By the way, thanks for another great video! ❤❤❤
Good Morning Al & Gina. It just occurred to me that You, Ben & Jason have all experienced natural disasters this year. Homesteading seems to have helped you all "weather the storm" and allowed you all to give assistance to your community.
Ive been married for 45 years and I've noticed where my wife seems to always have appt.s when we are are doing something she doesn't like to do. Amazing how women are so much alike and a lot smarter then we are.😂😂😂
Hey Al, I can’t remember if your grain bins have wheels. I have metal grain bins that are by all of my separate pins for my animals right by their feeders. At 78 years old, and a female, I am able to back my truck right up to the bin and dump the grain from there and not have to lift it.if you have wheels on yours, couldn’t you just wheel them over and unload the truck and then roll them back. It would save to lift them over the top. Just a thought! All of you have a blessed day and God bless.
Good morning everyone. Al, so sorry the track broke.....but I will say that was the first time I have seen a Bobcat limp off the job site. Hope it won't take too long to get another one. See you tomorrow on the podcast. Y'all have a Blessed day.
Good morning, Al. You probably should raise the mower up, you came really close to catching it on the corner of the slab when you drove in with the first batch of stone. If you had, you probably would have done significant damage to the frame.
Watching your videos I have always been impressed with the way Gina can use your hand tools like the battery drill, but in the last video where you had her helping you screed concrete I thought wow what a woman. You truly have a great treasure in your wife.
I wasn’t expecting a shop talk to be done this week or the next few weeks or however long it takes because I have seen photos and videos from that area and you know them tracks are probably like a radiator hose never know when they will break and it does look nice
Great video Al and Gina. Good job on the slab and everything. That track coming off was a bit of bad luck. But you’ll get it fixed. Take care and have a good one!👍❤️
We got a kick out of how you limped the excavator away from the slab! You need to get a suggestion from Jason as to some background music and make a fun instagram short! (speaking of Jason, that was sweet of you to send him that care package!)
Good morning y'all, at least the part that broke is repairable.. great video. We got pretty hit pretty hard from the hurricane, my ma's house is non- liveable....the family good.
About the concrete seam - I can absolutely guarantee that no visitor to your home will comment on it (unless it is a chicken - then you can eat it to destroy the evidence)🇬🇧😊
Have I got this wrong ? We get a very quick glimpse of Ken from Ken's Karpentry, from whom Al has just bought some more concreting equipment that would have taken out the imperfections, and he didn't use it ? He should have given Gina a couple of lessons. She'd have polished it off in no time while he was sitting talking !
Al, If you are really concerned about the looks, you could do a thin coat of cement over the concrete. Just wet the concrete and apply a thin coat of cement mixed to the consistency of tile mortar. Lightly broom off for a consistent rough finish.
Gooood morning Lumnah's! " Well son of ahh..." Is not quite where I was going! But I appreciate you getting there. Thanks for sharing guys, the slab looks great.
Good Morning Al and Gina! The Carol driver saved you a major headache down the road! When we poured my parents driveway in the early 80`s. We also ran short and the plant had closed for the day. We mixed the rest ourselves. Over the years our add in patch started to flake off and eventually had to be replaced.
Always something…But looking good! Love your videos and all of you!! Can’t wait to watch all your projects come to fruition. I love seeing all the animals! God bless you all always!
Delivery of some lumber for the barn extension. I'm glad the concrete set well. Wow, that second load of concrete is just crumbling as you dig in it. That third load stayed together. The grading of the gravel looked really good done by the mini-ex. I'm sad to see the track broke. I'm glad you got the mini-ex moved out of the way. Nice job getting the stone compacted. Yes, Brutus is knocking down the hay bales trying to get to the barn cats. Thanks for this video Lumnah family!
MY FAVORITE NH OFF GRID RUclips FAMILY!!! Gooood Morrrrrrrning Lumnahs AL GINA OLIVIA & subscriber friends and family! I pray everyone has a blessed Thursday and weekend ahead! 😁👍🏼
Good morning my friend in Lumnah,Al,Gina and Olivia and especially the supervisor Brutus. This is a Cajun from Louisiana love watching all the work you all are doing the 500 acres. Al it looks like you have your hands full with that broken track that's really not good . I pray you all have a blessed day .❤❤
Mate, you guys will take it in your stride and just get it done as usual. You pair are amazing what you can get through. Keep up the great work.😊 just as well it wasn’t Ben it would be down tools and leave it, till Meg sorted it 🤭
G’day 😊 nice to hear the chickens clucking in the background as they lay their eggs 👍 aw Forest is the more sociable barn cat from the two and a great supervisor too 😉
Sorry to see it didn’t turn out like it should have with that cold joint. That second load looked like stabilized backfill. That would not have set up for a slab. Keep up the good work. Nice to wake and watch your videos before work.
Good morning! I would have understood if yall couldn't do the podcast but so glad yall could, been so stressful for them, but I have watched what they have been able to post🙏. Slab looks great!
I'm so sorry that your track broke, Al. Praying that you can get a new one for a good price. The grading looks good. You make running that equipment so easy. God bless you guys. ❤❤❤
Hi there John dearden UK viewer, Hi matey you need to take off your mower when not in use you were very very close to hitting the concrete pad also in keeps hitting the ground when you are revs ing watch your video ,,,👍👍
Save that old track and reuse it. Cut it down to the width of the tractor, chain it together using 2 sections, then chain it to the back of the tractor. Makes a great drag to level new ground.
Good morning Al and Gina. Well you can see the seam, but like you said it will get dirty and you'll never see it. Only you will know. To bad the track broke. Always something to break if your going to be using it all the time. Enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing.
Gooood morning Lumnah Acres. Wishing everyone a great and productive day from East TN. If you have a chance, please consider donating, volunteering or assisting with restoration efforts in our area, Western NC and VA. Thanks!!
Good morning Al, Gina and all the Lumnah family and friends. The barn pad is looking good, and that second batch was BAD. I remember when you bought the bob-cat it had a bad track on it then, it has lasted for a long time.
Good morning, bummer about the track, that's about 1500.00, but you can see the tear in it when you're moving it. At 12:15 - 12:16 you can see the tear on the outside of the track as the track moves forward to the top at the rear drive wheel that's when I noticed it. 😮
Go to meetfabric.com/LUMNAH and apply today, risk-free
Buy two tracks and put both on, then keep the used one as a spare. Easy for me to say but for you to do is hard. Keep up the great work.
This. Although I know it’s expensive or at least not cheap.
GREAT IDEA. THEN THEY WEAR OUT AT THE SAME TIME
Was thinking the same, and you can watch a Andrew Camerata video if your unsure how to install it
That’s what I was thinking too.
Pair…… get a pair of new tracks…… keep the old one and stash it for future backup……..😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Also, storing your equipment properly keeps it from wearing out too, just because it's made to be outside doesn't mean you can't take steps to take care of it. And I remember when you bought that, and even then, they looked worn out.

Al and Gina, the concrete pad looks awesome now onto the walls and roof how convenient that Gina had another appointment lol 😮😊❤
Al, while you're replacing the track, you should also fix the bucket teeth before the shanks get worn out.
The scenery is beautiful. Love all those shots of scenery with a rainbow. Brutus is the keeper of Lumnah Acres.😊

You accomplished a lot, and overcame the setbacks with flying colors. Congrats!😊
You should try a box blade or land plane on the TYM to grade. You can adjust the grade with your three point.
Good Morning Al & Gina. It just occurred to me that You, Ben & Jason have all experienced natural disasters this year. Homesteading seems to have helped you all "weather the storm" and allowed you all to give assistance to your community.
Goooooooood Morning yea it’s crazy that we have all seen a good size natural disaster this year. We recorded our podcast last night.
@@LumnahAcres Last night's video from Ben and Meg they said they were on day five without power and Ben had power-lines across their driveway.
Forrest heard you needed a CAT 😅
With winter coming on... always a good idea to keep supplies stocked up. 👍
Al needs to get a saw mill and start to utilize all of that white birch. Maybe get metal tracks instead, they would be better in the winter.
Hopefully Gina, it was a fun appointment, like a Mani/Pedi!!! 😊
ok man that was impressive, excavator crab walk
That was a lovely shot of the rainbow, Gina! Thanks! And a beautiful sign of God's faithfulness!
ENJOYED the VIDEO....👍❤🙏🇨🇦🇺🇸😇
Tomorrow is another day. Thankful for what we have. North Carolina is tough. Sad😢

for sure... I was expecting that to get caught
Yep winced myself a couple times.😮
I seen the tear in the track while you were leveling out the stone! Checkout the video at 17:15 as you were backing up you can see the tear.
Run Forrest run.. Brutus is after you😀
Watching your videos I have always been impressed with the way Gina can use your hand tools like the battery drill, but in the last video where you had her helping you screed concrete I thought wow what a woman. You truly have a great treasure in your wife.

Good morning, guys!
Hey Al you can't be mad at that compactor, the use that it has been through. Money well spent.

What an incredible amount of work!
That track will make a nice sidewalk on a muddy wet area between two points that connect destinations the you need to go too!
Just a thought, consider replacing both tracks, and keep that old one as an emergency spare.
You can see a tear on the track as you do the leveling.
Always inspect your machines daily!❤
Thank goodness you have a backup tractor.
