grixis is such a fun combo, there are so many fun versions of this deck, i made the vampires grixis version, with Bolas splash, both 5 and 7 mana versions...
I use a Dimir control deck that changed the finisher to Bolas, and your deck is exactly Bolas control. I really like the fact that you even have a scarab god.
Just so you know, tokens are capable of transforming now, but the transform effects that "exile, then transform" will not work since it exiles the token first. And since it's a token and going to exile, it's gone for good. Nicol Bolas exiles, then transforms which is why you lost him.

Bolas cards are really cool and very honest, it's an example of good card design (mana cost, effect, power level)
