Hopefully you just solved my 3 day headache of trying to figure out why ESXI was not booting after I installed it without doing all these extra steps you mentioned.

How to add storage driver? Nvme is on pcie adapter, all the links and vdos are on network adapter

This is kind of a tricky tutorial since people have such a wide rang of hardware. Did you ever get it working?
Six months later...glad I found this... I'm going to try on my homelab with an old computer with an AM3+ AMD motherboard. One question I do have, though - will it recognize the onboard SATA controllers? I thought it might crap out on the controller, as well. Thanks!

Do I install all these programs onto a usb first then install it to the pc with a usb on it for booting
Hello, yes you need to create the bootable image first (if you are using that machine as the ESXI host) or from a separate computer. Hope that helps! The video and provided link give pretty much the exact steps.
