This is not good for springs used in multiple assemblies. Is there a method of controlling the length in the assembly without affecting the spring model itself?
This really isn't a flexible part in the assembly. When you have to edit the part in the assembly to make the spring expand or compress, your actually in part mode editing the spring. Flexible would be the ability to grab the plate in the assembly and drag it, causing the spring to be expanded or compressed with the plate simultaneously. Solidworks really falls short here.
