Which was the case, because Megumi is still a fushiguro… so the last bet Toji made, was a winning One
True. He hates zenin clan and there is no better way to discribe his hatred toward zenin than having his son raised by gojo clan, the zenin's biggest nemesis.
This does not come up in the manga but from a Gege interview: Toji's scar comes from his father trying to kill him when he was a child because he was worthless to them. That brings into perspective his relationship with the Zenin (somewhat).

We actually don't know if gojo could have killed mahito or not and I personally don't think he could, and since mahito can't do anything to gojo either it would gave been a stalemate until gojo knock mahito out with his domain and captured him but he can't actually kill mahito, void attacks the mind and freezes you down it doesn't actually inflict damage on curses but it does on human a few seconds is enough to break their minds. Yuji soul punches is a very unique ability that he has because of sukuna, abd having two souls in 1 body, Gojo doesn't have that ability. There is also nobara who can also attack the the soul with her CT.

All Toji ever wanted was for Megumi to not be used and have a shitty life because of his birth clan. Even in the Hidden Inventory time his main concern was Megumi. Why else would he tell Gojo about Megumi? Hopefully he'd protect him. His enemies can't use Megumi as a tool if they don't even know Toji has a kid or think he's the worst dad ever. Being the kind of person Toji is and what he'll do to get a job done, it's not hard to figure out why he would think distancing himself from Megumi would be the better choice for his son.

Idc what anyone says, this was Jogo's episode. Honestly, I liked him even before I read this part of the manga, but these chapters solidified him in my top 5 favorites list.
Because of his horrible mistreatment in childhood by the Zenin clan, toji became crazy, cokd and brutal and when he fully awakened his powers of HR he made the Zenin pay terrorizing them back for years instead of just destroying everything. He started killing people and sorceress and having many womens lol until one day he met his future wife which was said by the author gege was so such an amazing person she managed to fix toji he stopped killing people eve' became a good husband..... He even stopped playing with womens and killing sorceres. For many years until his wife died a little bit after having megumi and toji went back insane again..... Thats why toji was rusty in the hidden inventory arc because of all those years of peaceful life with his family away from the sorcerer world. Toji's life was a trajic one but also a beautiful one in some ways his sincere love for his wife and his child, him running away from megumi because he knew he was starting to go insane again..... But also the impact he had on the story was so huge and profound it literally changed everything without toji's actually we literally wouldn't have had jjk and its not the last time we gonna hear about toji...
Toji was at peace knowing that his son never got into the clutches of the Zenin Clan, despite him selling Megumi because he didn’t think he could be a good father. He killed himself because he knew if he didn’t he could end up killing his son.
