So, I think it was me (a newbie) that asked for this video, so thank you, it was very helpful. And informative. And a good peek into your lovely crafting space. And hearing terms - like cluster. There’s a lot to learn. And I thank you 🤍🤍🤍.
This was timely. I told Laurette my Word For The Year is “ORGANIZE”, inspired by you and her. I’m taking all year to purge/declutter/reorganize/repurpose/reassign…
This was such an eye opener for me. I’m always working in a mess that I really don’t like because I feel caged in. This will be my year now, to clean up as I go inspired by you Gayle. Thank you. So there’s something to be grateful for as well, lol.
I (previously) could not wait to start a new project, so would start without cleaning up after a completed project. After watching Gayle straighten up the work surface while working on a project for the last year, I have started following that process. Am much happier working in a 12x12 space than a 6x6 space as I was doing previously. I am grateful for Gayle's organizational vibes!
I am always grateful for you! My goal this year is “Be Positive!” I’ve let things get me down for too long and I have the ability to control it. I’m loving how it affects others around me as well. I don’t know if you ever watched the movie, “Doc Hollywood” staring Michael J. Fox, but, the on-going reports of your deck saga, and now, the harrowing events at your daughter’s apartment, made me think of it (the movie.) Often times, my husband is in the kitchen with me having his morning coffee as I’m watching your video. Just before I started it today, he asked how things were coming with the “daughter and family who had the water damage.” (And I didn’t think he was paying attention!) We were both happy to hear they’ve been relocated into a newly renovated apartment but equally horrified of what they also learned about their upstairs neighbors. Just like in the movie, “Doc Hollywood”, Dr. Stone, continued to ask about the local gal who married a man from Pakistan and their adventures!!! My husband may not paper craft, but he sure likes your reporting! We are both grateful for you, Gayle! ❤
Gayle, I watch you almost every day. I think that this is so helpful! When I get on a roll creating, I don't stop, take a breath and reorganize. You taking us through your steps makes this so much more important now. I actually spent three days this week getting things in place so I can reach everything (mostly) from my chair. Now I need the habit of putting it back before the next project. So so helpful!! Thank you thank you!
You are soooo, fun, Gayle! AND I am incredibly impressed that you know exactly what bin is what and where it is. I need to label all my things to remember … 😂 It’s always a treat to spend some crafty time with you!
Your tidy up was so helpful. I didn’t feel I could break thing done so much. But seeing your break downs makes me know it’s much better to have this that are the same all together. I have been gathering all the empty containers and putting them in one place. Then I I can sort into the containers I already have. Thank you for sharing very helpful. 😊❤🎉thanks for all you share.
Your craft room is so cozy ! I can see how relaxing and fun it is to film your videos there. Thank you for sharing your enjoyable spaces, it was really fun to watch. Best wishes and love to you Gayle !
Thank you so much for showing your craft room today and how you organize. I’m new at junk journaling and have spent the last couple of months reorganizing a office space and collecting/crafting supplies. This was so helpful!! ❤ I’m a new Gayle subbie and binge watched you the last couple days (while dealing with really bad allergies-ugh) and have decided we are long lost sisters! 😊😂 Thanks a lot!! 👍👍
It takes literally 2 minutes to create a mess when working with paper crafts! I mean that is reality baby. 😀. I also do not like working in a mess so I clean up every time I leave a project for the day. And Gayle the saying: “ A place for everything and everything in it’s place” is such a good word to help us! I use it all the time. Another tip is that if things are organized in such a way that they are difficult to get to it will be harder and you will be frustrated and not use them. I have organized and reorganized my supplies time and again to put them in place that are easy to access. For me half my living room/kitchen condo space is my craft area. I(I have a separate bedroom) so that is very challenging for me but I think I do really well with the space I have. But I think I am on my 50th iteration and I am not joking. As I purchase new things I have to shape shift. LOL. But I love this craft so much that it’s not a chore for me. Enjoy your videos so much because of you-you make it fun!
You have such a large space and every inch has craft supplies in it! I’m amazed you can remember where everything is! I agree cleaning up is essential to be creative I can’t do anything in a mess!
I watch you everyday, dont always comment, ..But...Oh my goodness! I'm so glad to see I'm not the only one. I love looking at others stash/craft room, then looking at mine for some better organizing techniques. And it helped when you said that about a small bedroom, which is what I have, it helped!! Ty you for all your tutorials. I don't always comment, but you're my number 1 favorite.
Good morning Gayle perfect timing. Yesterday I watched 8 episodes of Alex curiosity Incorporated cleaning out a hoard house while I cleaned out four or five bins and boxes of stuff
I love seeing how everything is organized. I don't have much craft room space so "a place for everything and everything in its place" is a must, though I struggle to keep up sometimes when my kids craft in my room, too :P And I love that card from Mike haha.
Isn't it so funny that to other people it often looks like "How can you ever find stuff here?" but you know exactly where everything is. It's like that in my craft room. I think your organisation is awesome!! Always love a tour around your room, Gayle! 😍💕❤
I have loved watching this video and when you were re-arranging your craft room. Thank you! Also, I just love your "middle-school" humor! Things I would say myself or make me laugh!
Very enjoyable video. What I find remarkable is that you remember where everything is with such a big space and so many containers! I have trouble with that, especially if I reorganize, and my room is tiny compared to yours. You have a great memory!
I am spending this month reorganizing my craft studio, and getting ready to go back into crafting mode. This was prefect timing for your video. I can 't create in chaos either. You have such a great space. Thanks for the inspiration, have a fabulous day!!
WOW!!!! I am in LOVE with your craft room Gayle!! I found your channel a couple of weeks ago and have been binge watching your video’s - you are so talented and inspirational, thank you so much for sharing! Love and hugs 🤗, Janine x
Good morning Gayle! I just got a new kitten and she loves watching you! We have “Gayle time” - we get cozy and watch your newest videos. Lol! Hugs from Shannon and Noelle!
Hey Gayle 😀 what a hoot...Thank you for birthing our kids!😂😂Next father's day you should write, Thank you for impregnating me! I'll bet he says, "My pleasure." 😂😂 This was a fun video. You should have seen the mess I had after helping my granddaughter make a Cinderella shoebox float for a book report😬😬 Happy Crafting!
Thank you Gayle, last night when I left my craft space I remarked, " a place for everything and nothing in it's place". This needs to happen with me soon. Thank you for the inspiration. January is always a great time to start over reorganizing.
Gayle, Thank you for the great video. It is nice for a newbie to see how an experienced crafter works. Who knows, what works for someone maybe a good fit for someone else. I love your channel. Thanks again for sharing. ❤
Gayle, this was such a lovely video. The tour was so informative, the way you organize and know where everything has been placed. If I put something away, it's gone.-like my memory, lol. Thank you for taking the time to "show and tell". My craft room is small, about 90 square feet, but the way you organize will be helpful in the way I organize my goodies. Thanks again for all you do for all of us!!!
Good morning, Gayle! Loved seeing your 'clean it up' process. As I reorganize my space I'm shooting for the Everything Has A Place. I'm also purging. While I'd love to have an entire basement to really spread out, I am blessed for the studio we did build me and for the warehouse shed to store the overflow. One of the things I love about your space is all the vintage cabinetry type items. Sucker for vintage. LOL... Creative Blessings!
Loved this video!! I love organizing my space almost as much as crafting. I am so lucky to have a room for my crafting, my husband is extremely supportive of my “art” as it’s a huge destresser for me. Thanks Gayle, for your inspiration and your positivity. You are a light to your family and to all of us.✨✨✨✨
I am like you in that I also love to organize my supplies as much as I do crafting. (Maybe slightly more?) And I am acontainer collector. I am such a sucker for buying things to store things in. I have tried many products and have lit upon some solutions I really like. I am a walking Container Store (except I rarely shop there-too expensive). I like finding storage solutions everywhere. Happy crafting (and organizing!)
Just wanted to say thank you for this video. I was fortunate enough to get a new craft room which is now organized and I have been incorporating some of your ideas into keeping my new space cleaner than I have in the past.
Hi Gayle, I really love it that you did this clean up and organizing videos, it inspires me to clean up my area. Lol, I clean and organize, then in a week or so, it’s all thrashed…😂 this was a very fun video. I ❤ it,
Thank you Gayle. I have a small crafting area in our sitting room so have to keep it tidy! I have found your destashing and sorting videos very helpful. I am following you in organising my stash in the same way as you do! I have tried other ways but yours seems to work for me, so thank you for sharing your way of organising. Have a wonderful day!
Oh my great organization. Would you do a show of your desk with all the acrylic drawers and your organization of that. I love that system. Thanks again. for sharing your way.
Hi Gayle, congrats on having the discipline to do the cleanup right after a project. I usually push the limits & craft too long (if there's such a thing!) each day & cleanup is the last thing I want to do. I also need the visual reminder of what I should tackle next. That said, I'm going to try to adopt your strategy....besides, looks like it doubles as an aerobic activity with all the to and fro : ) Cheers, Hazel
At the end of last year I began the purging and organizing process. OMG what we can accumulate! But like you I need to have my space organized to be creative! So glad to know I’m not the only one. Have a great day, Gayle.
Hi Gayle I’m milly 😄👋🏼 I have seen hundreds of maker rooms and organizations styles. But I have not been able to relate to them. Until yours 😃 I’m the same way I have a section for everything and I just can not get inspired in a messy area and I have tried. In fact when my area is messy I move to a nice clean one 😂🤣 BUT for most part I am a creature of habit I clean my area. 😊 at the moment I’m trying to declutter each area and donating things I know I will definitely not use. It’s very hard to let go of supplies but it’s a must do to make more room. Thank you so much for sharing this video 😘 and to the person that requested it. XOXO
TFS & all your eclectic storage situations. Great ideas of using what I have rather than spending $ for new! Happy to hear Joni is recovering from the fire, 🙏's answered!
Thanks Gayle for the cleanup experience. Starting from an organized place is sure easier than crafting and then organizing the leftovers without a plan. Your Mother’s Day card flower was a perfect fit for a page! I am thinking of sending a blank page with my husband in future so he can do the same! Lol! Have a fun week! I am grateful for you.
Thank you for showing us how you clean up after each project. I try to have a place for everything also. I am using a corner in a bedroom and the closet. I have been thinking of reorganizing some more. Thanks for the inspiration! Hugs
Hi Gayle, I don't have near half of what you do but I too always clean up and put everything away into it's place when I finish crafting. I can't imagine continuously making new projects on a messy table, I wouldn't have a clue where anything was! Great video :))
Hello Gayle! I recently found your channel and subbed. I just thought last night that it would be neat to see a tour of your craft room (how ironic this came up today).I have got some great ideas for journals for our business. I want them more like a cross between a journal and photo album. Now I have some great ideas to "dress up" the pages. I'm so excited to get started once I get enough supplies together (slowly accumulating. Could you in one of your upcoming videos talk about what glues you use and what is best for what you are gluing? I currently have Fabri-Tac (bought for a different project. Thank you!! I enjoy watching!!!!
Gayle ! Yes, this is fabulous !! Thank you so much. I love your space 🥰🥰🥰 I applauded your one-handed filming. I’m sure it’s NOT easy. Maybe a Go-Pro camera on your head ?? 😂😂😘
Thank you gayle for sharing this you do get your daily steps in packing everythingaway. My space is 6ft long by 4 foot wide it's a opening under the stairs which i claimed as my space and i have to tidy up as i go.
Although I had to avert my eyes a few times because of the camera movement, I enjoyed seeing your studio. Unavoidably I sometimes have more than one project going and if I can't clean up, I need to choose one project and consign the other to a box, if even for a day or two. Not that I always do it, and if not I always regret it! Thanks!
Thank you Diane I was organizing earlier tonite. It seems I’m always organizing. I spend most of my time looking for materials I need to follow your ‘motto’ everything in its place va I have way too much stuff my fabrics are out of control I need to spend time every day organizing Sending you hugs❤️
A place for everything and everthing in its place ... ja ... that's what I've tried to teach my children ... some got it, some not ... My mil had the idea to switch houses: Can we switch houses? Your house is always neat and clean I like to live here. Ähm ... but if you live here it's not longer neat and clean. I know but when I've messed up your house my house is neat and clean 'cause you're living there then I can go back to my house ''till I messed it up again .... Yeah ... thanks ... We've never done it 'cause my neat and clean is too neat and clean she needs her chaos 🤣 But it was a quite funny conversation. Hubbys face expressions were priceless 🤣
I enjoyed this video very much! It was good to see how you organize. I only have 1/10th as much stuff as you do, but I feel pretty good about how I have organized things. As you know, it was a work in progress and of need. I agree with you, a place for everything and everything in it's place (after you finish a project). It is a mind set that works for me and apparently for you. I also follow your Scrappy Saturday videos. Thank you for sharing. Love, Sharon
I love love love organizing videos! Thanks for doing this tidying one! Perhaps it's time to bring back use it Tuesday, so you're delving into that use it up drawer? You've inspired me to grab a couple of boxes and do some organizing! Thanks for sharing and the inspiration!
Good morning Gayle. I have started doing this too; cleaning up after a project. Question: you have mentioned “cabinet cards” a lot recently. What are they and how do you use them? Thanks for all the inspiration. I so look forward to your videos each morning.
They are what they call the old vintage photographs done by a photographer. I have some in my “finish it” box. I’ll do them when I film today for you. They will be in next week’s Margarete Miller challenge video since I film ahead. 👍❤️
Loved this video. I used the time to listen to you and tidy my own craft area up. I have an idea for your use it up drawer, you could pull out the drawer and use that when decorating a batch of ephemera. That would “use it up” 😊 Thanks Gayle
Good almost afternoon Gayle!! I was watching you and 2 of my daughter's called me. Awesome to talk to them for over an hour!!🥰 So fun watching your clean up process. I'm the same way, don't like working in a mess. No one can say you don't get exercise crafting. You put in a lot of steps!! 🤣 Have an awesome day...💜
Good morning Gail. I loved watching this video. I’m moving cross the USA and have to pack up everything. Trying to organize as I go. Can’t wait to have a craft room 🎉
It’s always good to see how others organize and clean up their crafting work. Since you have so much stuff how do you remember and keep up with where everything goes? It doesn’t look like you have drawers and baskets labeled. I see some labels but most doesn’t seem identified. My brain isn’t good enough to keep up with it!
Good morning Gayle, yessss I cannot function with things scattered about also! Indeed my mom & grams both use the same saying “a place for everything, and everything in its place” I’m a fanatic about order too! Thank you for sharing so much of what you do and God Bless! 💖
Maybe if I see your organization enough it will eventually sink in?? I can always hope 🤪. Thanks for always being so willing to help 😊. Need to start a grateful journal 😊
Oh Gayle, I am in shock about what your daughter is having to go through. First thing I think of are the photos and art pictures ok. It’s enough just having to move unexpectedly beside dealing with the dirty water. Prayers for her and her family. ❤️🐇
Hi Gayle, your craft room is so big I don't know how you remember where everything is. I reorganize and then can't remember where I moved things to, lol. So glad everything worked out ok for your daughter for her new apartment. Can't imagine the horror they must have felt when they found out what was going on above them. I feel so bad for the dogs in that apartment as well, they are victims also.
I agree about the poor doggies, Robin. 😥. I guess I remember where everything is because that’s how my brain works, but spending six hours a day in my craft room probably doesn’t hurt either! 😂❤
This was an event, so amazing that you can remember where everything is. I have a little spot in the corner of my living room for my crafts (since I live in a one-bedroom apartment) and I can never find what I'm looking for. Good on you for keeping it as organized as you do, I would be a wreck :) Good job...thank you so much for sharing your process.
My sister has been subbed to your channel for awhile now and suggested your videos to me. I’d love to see a little more of your gratitude journal and hear a bit more about it. Things have not been going my way lately and I’ve dug myself into a hole and desperately need to get out of it. Maybe if I start a gratitude journal things wouldn’t look as bleak as I feel. Thank you so much for sharing I’ve really enjoyed watching and listening. ❤️
Sure, Kathleen, and welcome to my channel! I’ve been doing a gratitude journal since the early 1990’s. Any journal will work just fine for it. I write down three things I’m grateful for each day. It really helps me focus on the blessings in my life rather than what’s not so great. I hope it helps you too! Let me know if you have any other questions. ❤
I try really hard to make ephemera with the “left overs” after a project. But I’m usually sick of the papers lol and just want to move on to the next thing. I’m currently making 10 journals in one go and having an organised space is essential ❤ thanks for sharing
You sound like me. I too have about 10 journals in different phases in progress right now. I need a project manager! LOL. when I get sick of my scraps I leave them alone for awhile then come back to them and that seems to help me-it’s like they are new to me. I love paper and have quite a collection. It may take me a decade to use it all. Happy crafting!
Awesome, wonderful video. I sit in a horse shoe, too. I have a small bedroom for a craft room. Right now I have a lot of putting away that I’m going through. I love your drawers on top and to the right of your desk. My desk is a folding table and I would like to get a few. I keep my Tim Holtz things close by on a shelf of one of the rolling carts. I have three rolling carts to make the right side and back of the U. My table is the middle and two three shelf racks to my left. As far as storing things we definitely think alike and you’ve certainly have given me some more ideas.🤗💕🦋
The little drawers are available on my website (listed in the description box under my videos) under Gayle’s Favorite Things at gayleagostinelli.com/gayles-favorite-things/. 👍❤️
I had decided to do a gratitude journal this year. I have little notes written down. I have long haul void and just am getting g over a bad attack! Hope to start this weekend! Haven't made the journal yet, therefore the little notes written down! Great video today! Thanks for showing us how you clean up! Have a great day💖💖💖💖

I had to smile when you said “a place for everything and everything in its place”. That was one of my Moms favorite sayings to her five daughters ❤
I think this is a mental workout for us to keep us sharp! remembering where things belong!!and making the extra effort.
Oh gosh Gayle, I was so glad to find out I am not the only one who cannot create in chaos and have to tidy up after each project!😘❤️
You are not alone.

You have such a large space and every inch has craft supplies in it! I’m amazed you can remember where everything is!
I agree cleaning up is essential to be creative I can’t do anything in a mess!
I agree! I think Gayle has a secret super power in knowing where all her supplies are! She is such a fun and joyful person that I learn so much from.
I'm grateful for you Gayle & the time we get to spend together!!! 🙏🏻❤🤗
good heavens your room is packed LOL

Great to see how you clean up after projects! I always get inspiration of how I can reorganize watching these videos! Thanks for sharing!
You should tell Mike you got your work out today! Great organizing! Be blessed my friend!
You're so nice!!! I just love watching you do what you do!
Happy Thursday! What are you up to today? This looks fun… can’t wait to see what you do next… 😀 Have a blessed day! Love you! ❤
Love you sis! ❤
At the end of last year I began the purging and organizing process. OMG what we can accumulate! But like you I need to have my space organized to be creative! So glad to know I’m not the only one. Have a great day, Gayle.
You too, Anne! ❤
Hi Gayle I’m milly 😄👋🏼
I have seen hundreds of maker rooms and organizations styles.
Good morning, Gayle! It is great having all of that space! You are sooo organized!
I really love it when you do “weird” videos. This helped me so much. Cool. Hugs, treen 💕💕💕
Gayle yes ..a place for everything and everything in its place. So happy someone else lives this way! Oh yeah Atelier is pronounced - At- tah- le- ay
Aaannnddd.. now I need a gratitude journal!! ❤️
Thank you for showing us how you clean up after each project. I try to have a place for everything also. I am using a corner in a bedroom and the closet. I have been thinking of reorganizing some more. Thanks for the inspiration! Hugs
It’s nice to see in your use it up. Some smaller journals you are finishing up and putting on your Etsy.
Oh my gosh I loved this video so much. I'm such a sucker for the behind the scenes type content from my fav creators. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Gayle, I don't have near half of what you do but I too always clean up and put everything away into it's place when I finish crafting. I can't imagine continuously making new projects on a messy table, I wouldn't have a clue where anything was! Great video :))
Another good reason to live on the top floor. Heat rises and water doesn’t!
Thanks!
Thank you Diane
I was organizing earlier tonite. It seems I’m always organizing. I spend most of my time looking for materials I need to follow your ‘motto’ everything in its place va I have way too much stuff my fabrics are out of control I need to spend time every day organizing
Sending you hugs❤️
Enjoyed seeing your crafting space!
A place for everything and everthing in its place ... ja ... that's what I've tried to teach my children ... some got it, some not ...
My mil had the idea to switch houses:
Can we switch houses? Your house is always neat and clean I like to live here.
Ähm ... but if you live here it's not longer neat and clean.
I know but when I've messed up your house my house is neat and clean 'cause you're living there then I can go back to my house ''till I messed it up again ....
Yeah ... thanks ...
We've never done it 'cause my neat and clean is too neat and clean she needs her chaos 🤣
But it was a quite funny conversation.
Such a good video, Gayle! I have already found a few put away projects that I need to do. Also want to try some of your storage solutions! ~Carolyn
Good morning Gayle, So glad you did this video. You sparked some ideas for me. This was so helpful.
Gayle, that was great! Your poor daughter on her apt., I'm glad it turned out well. Yes, gratitude! xoxo
Loved watching you work in your craft room... Thanks for that🥰
This was fun. I think it’s time for me to clean my raft room. You have encouraged me to do some organizing. Thanks for sharing 💕🌴
I work in my craft room at least six hours every day to produce daily content for you all. I think that’s why I remember where everything is. 😂❤
I luv yr crafting room! Its so nice! Thank you for taking the time to do this video.💜
Oh I really like the ink and ink dobber holder!
Thank you for the video. I 😊 love all the boxes and trays and baskets and carts and end tables for storage.
So many good things in this video! Love you my friend. I’m grateful for my friendship with you everyday.
And I’m grateful for you, dear Jamie! 😘❤️
Oh Gayle, I am in shock about what your daughter is having to go through. First thing I think of are the photos and art pictures ok. It’s enough just having to move unexpectedly beside dealing with the dirty water. Prayers for her and her family. ❤️🐇
Thank you, June! ❤
Wonderful video, Gayle. 🥰
Thank you for reminding me that every thing has a place. But I fall short at everything in it’s place😊
Gayle- great video! My desk is organized quite similarly to yours. Here’s hoping it stays as organized!✂️📝📒
This was great Gayle. Thank you. Blessings
@@gayleagostinelli_ct Thanks!💖
I had decided to do a gratitude journal this year. I have little notes written down. I have long haul void and just am getting g over a bad attack! Hope to start this weekend! Haven't made the journal yet, therefore the little notes written down! Great video today! Thanks for showing us how you clean up! Have a great day💖💖💖💖
