I just rewatched the video. I’m addicted to your cleaning videos and watch them multiple times!🤷♀️🤦🏼♀️It’s so much fun to see how someone else’s brain works for organizing. I really like that you took the recollection cubes and stacked them by your desk. It really opened up you room and makes it look so much larger. Great job! Lots of work but I think it will be worth it in the long run when you can put the organizing behind you and get to creating. I do just love your cleaning videos, though.
still watching but wanted to say kuddos to you for filming you cleaning out. I would be embarrassed for people to see some of my craft area and it's just a lot of stuff...now back to watching
We support the mess here! I have been the receiving end of nasty comments so I try to show that things like this are normal and it's ok - I hope you enjoy the rest of the video!
Fun to watch! I love organizing so you are giving me the itch to reorganize again! And 👏 amen to your disclaimer that this is how YOU want your space and everyone should do what they want for themselves!
I am so glad other gals craftrooms get messy. I have ADHD. I have to be able to see everything I might use in a craft. So everything gets pulled out. But I do notice your storage and organization helps to clean up better and quicker. I need to work on that. One thing with ADHA is that there is a OUT OF SITE, OUT OF MIND, type aspect. So I use a lot of glass to store things. Thank you for your honesty and showing the reality of a craftroom!!!
@ColieBing if you get diagnosed you don't have to take meds. But a diagnosis just helps to know what you need to deal with. Example...I know I have to see my craft supplies, so they go in glass or see-through storage.
Good job! Keeping my craft area cleaned up and organized is always a struggle. You shared some great ideas here that are very helpful. Thanks so much for sharing ❤
Watching this makes me want to go clean my space. I’m hoping the feeling will pass soon because I am totally squirrel minded. I get started and then go down a different rabbit hole and end up with huge piles everywhere! Nice job on finishing yours up, looks great!
Very impressive! Congratulations on a job well done! You have inspired me to go and try to sort out some of my disaster zone- sorry, craft room! Lol. I totally get the whole: I will sort it out, but will micro-sort it later concept! Some days you really don't want to deal with it. Thank you for sharing and I hope I can potter around and get mine sorted too! Cheers!
Enjoying your video!!! I wanted to share that I removed the eyelets from the older Kiwi Lane templates to reduce bulk and save space. I store the 12" templates in ADVANTUS Stretch Art Box Storage Cases (13.4"L x 5.7"W x 2.5"H) I found on Amazon.
I enjoyed watching this. I have been working on a huge purge/clean of my craft room, which is taking several months as I get overwhelmed with it and don't work on it consistently. You've given me hope that I can get it done!!
WOW! Great job Nicole. I like the way you rearranged the cubes to the end of your desk. As you know I need to purge and rearrange too. Maybe this video will motivate me. I like clean up videos because it just shows that everyone makes a mess creating and we need to take the time once in awhile to pick up and start clean. Can you help me purge? You wouldn't be as attached to my stash as I am. Easier for someone else to get rid of stuff.
I just moved and had to downsize for my new place. I probably purged 40% of my stuff. Now, I am beginning to unpack all my stuff. Funnily I have tons of extra organizers. I wish we lived close so I could pass mine on to you! The part that made all this easier for me is knowing I had a great place to donate all my stuff (to an art teacher at a local public school.). The process, however, remain overwhelming at times and when that happens I get my adult daughter to come over and help. It has made a world of difference. Good luck to you. I totally get the journey you are on cause I am too. Thanks for posting this video, I have found it so helpful!!
Your video really resonated with me and I enjoyed watching it, especially since so much of what you said could have come out of my mouth! My cat has also wrestled with my cheap white blind. Thats her spot so I put her bed right on my desk in front of the window and gave up the fight. 🤷♀️
Haha yes those are not blinds, those are hers. She thinks the pigeons next door as actually catchable lol I will replace them at some point but the thought of standing in the aisle at lowes deciding what price point she prefers to jump on...its rough
I am that person who likes to clean up after every project. Everything should have a place... but I do need to pare down. I just don't need an entire bin of wedding stuff. By the time my kids got married, I really didn't care for what I had collected. Two sons married within 8 weeks of each other and I used the Viken line and Curator's Meadow and none of it was what I thought I would actually use. So now my next goal is to go through my stash and have a heart to heart with myself about what I would really use in the future. One of the best things I did was to measure the stuff in my closet. I found that my tallest items were 14 inches tall and most were closer to 11 inches. I went to Lowe's and bought thick planks of wood and made custom removable shelving for my 6 foot closet. It was wonderful. Then we moved after 33 years in the same house and those shelves went into my new closet. It is a ten foot walk in closet and everything fits in nicely. It just lets me store more than I really need though. Thanks for the video. It is always a good reminder to think about how you use things to get the most out of your scrapping time.
It's super old - Crop'n'Store was the brand. Similar to the cubes from Micheals, but larger. I actually drove to Utah to buy them...I don't think they are still around.
Scrap/ art/craft studios are always evolving. We need to let it work for our current needs 💚💜💙

The old creative memory cutting system is STILL the BEST💙💜💚
some items you just cannot purge lol
This is exactly what I needed to see, this is the current condition of my craft room. So I am listening to your video as I clean
@jeanalam9279 yay! One small section at a time - you got this!
I’m so jealous you found the energy for this, I’m hoping maybe it’s contagious and I can start on my own mess 😂
Thanks for sharing! I enjoy seeing how other people use thier space and you're breakdown of thought process is awesome.
I think you effort was well worth it. The only think I would do is add some happy art work to the walls. 😊
I really enjoyed this video....makes us other crafters know we're not alone in how we apply our scrappy logic!😂 TFS

@nancyworsley5057 thank you! I have wondered for awhile if I have a touch of undiagnosed adhd

Now I have to decide if I should start cleaning & purging! Congratulations - that was a lot of work!
My only advice - dont start unless you are mentally in that space to deal with it
Love this type of video 😀

Small bites - wait until you are in the mood.
Thanks for sharing. I'm in the middle of this same process so it was good to watch.
Closet of doom, lol. Love that wooden rack! I like the new set-up.

That was a lot of work and a huge accomplishment! Your room looks great and I'm sure you feel great, too.

That shelving sounds amazing! Thank you for watching!
0:51 same, and then I get started on a new project and never finish anything 🙁
OMG that first shot in the video... I thought how did Nicole get in my room!! lol
I'm sneaky like that...
LOVE watching your cleaning videos! What is the ink storage tray you have for mini ink cubes? (at 37:07)
I made it with foam core board 🤦♀️
Where is your cube unit from with all those drawers?
It's super old - Crop'n'Store was the brand. Similar to the cubes from Micheals, but larger. I actually drove to Utah to buy them...I don't think they are still around.
I forgot to mention the smaller cubes on top that I moved are the ones from Ms.
BUMMER! Love those!! So much storage
Right now my craft room looks like a bomb exploded. Stuff everywhere. I am just overwhelmed.
@@lauramiller6294 small bites! Set a timer. One shelf or drawer at a time. You got it!
