For me, as a man city fan kdb is both the greatest and best man city player of all time, kdbs ucl his moments in the ucl he was comfortably the best midfielder in the world for at least 3 seasons- 19/20, 20/21, 21/22, 22/23- he was the best in the league for at least 2 seasons - 19/20, 22/23 maybe the 2 seasons in between, his trophies his big game goals against madrid at the bernabeu and at the etihad arsenal at both the emirates and etihad, i think you could argue there was months where kdb may have been the best player in the world - last few months of treble season- dont think you could say the same for aguero not even the best in the league,
didnt play midfield in any of those seasons, 20/21 he played alot in the false 9 and in the recent seasons hes pretty much hugged or was close to haaland. Last season he was truly a midfielder was 17/18 where he had midfield responsibilities and wasnt exclusively a final phase player. But let's say he was a midfielder: 19/20 - kdb 20/21 - barella/kante 21/22 - modric 22/23 - rodri I think he has done enough to be crowned citys greatest ever player, but he's far from best as a footballer. Yaya, Silva, Mahrez, Bernardo, Gundogan, Rodri, Aguero at the very minimum are all better footballers than he is. Peps system is genius to make him the one to roam free and position himself exclusively in the final 3rd but this really only works with city - If you leave a player on kdb the whole match it's risky, you will completely neutralize him (Fred in the FA Cup final, casemiro in the 2nd leg 21/22) but that'll just cause problems since they have other players that can hurt you. The g/a looks nice on paper, the moments after doing nothing for the other 89 minutes shock the world but when you focus on him, purely watching him play for 90 minutes week in week out you realize a player that limited cannot be the best player in citys history and that absolutely cannot be the best player in the world.
@@Guestownedu foden played false 9 in 20/21 and wtf kdb limited do u even watch games??And being better ''footballers'' dont mean anything if you can't put up the numbers and kdb is the only city player that can change a game himself clearly why they won their first ucl with him

Not watch the game and then he'll pop up in the 88th minute with g/a for 4 - 1 and you'll think hes the best player in the world cause he came up with a moment. It's likely in that same game he spent 95% of it spamming the same cross 20 times and tried forcing the same through ball which got easily intercepted 10 times. youtube comps can make anyone look good
@ so you didn’t watch 2017 city, centurion city in which he was their best player, 2019/20 that’s arguably his best ever season 21/22 he played as the primary goalscorer because there was no striker And 23/24 he was the main source of assists for HAALAND, in which a number of player combined couldn’t match his output You describing him as a cross spammer is why your take is extremely incorrect and disingenuous, anyone who watch city can see that kdb is the main source of attack, gundogan and Bernardo Silva can collect the ball from the cb but don’t impact how city attack, that’s KDBs job
I think you can have this debate in terms of greatness. But realistically we can't have the debate about who was the best because we haven't seen enough.
Not only Chelsea's best player, I think he has been PL's best player since 2010. Hazard at his best (2015, 2018 and 2019) could influence games singlehandedly, on the same level as Messi and Neymar.
Glad Frank was brought up, was about to lose it that he wasn't mentioned. He become one of my favourite players to watch at that time, once I grew old enough to appreciate things a little more. Captains are funny, cause I don't always want the best player to be captain, but Gerrard is an example of a good captain, he would drag Liverpool and had the passion. He would do everything and lead by example. I also like when you have leaders like Hendo, someone who can talk to everyone, do the little things that help the team, like press and cover for anyone, dictate when he's on the field. I can see the argument for Hendo being a better captain. I personally would prefer a Hendo as captain, someone who can hold the stars accountable.

@ Yeah… Zlatan and Neymar were better. Messi’s 16 goals and 16 assists in 32 is nice and all but Neymar literally had 28 and 16 in 30 games while so being a BETTER dribbler than Messi in 2023. Zlatan in 2016 had FIFTY goals in 51 games. Along with 18 assists. That’s ballon dor numbers
I’m not saying he’s definitely the best or the greatest but Manuel Neuer not even being mentioned is crazy man. 3rd in Ballon D’or voting behind prime Messi and Ronaldo. He has literally revolutionized the way top level goalkeepers operate. Maybe more time needs to pass for people to realize but no goalkeeper in history has revolutionized the position as much as Neuer has. For me he’s the best goalkeeper of all time and definitely the most well rounded keeper of all time.
Liverpools greatest is definitely Gerrard because of the competition at the time. But best can vary coz there's even Salah in that convo but Virgil hit such a high peak in that time when they got the prem and champions league
Ribery was a far better player then Robben. Im suprised you man have Robben over. Could go left right. Perfect delivery Excellent passer I dont think you man watched him enough. Didnt lose the ball but still was out there cooking man.
I don't know if Ribery was outright better but Robben was definitely not that much better than Ribery. If we take their best seasons, I'd probably rate Ribery slightly higher. Ribery was a better playmaker and a more intelligent player and was also technically better. Robben was slightly better at Goal scoring and more direct due to his pace.

its not disrespect. im a citeh fan, he can be our best but no way is he the greatest. aguero is mister man city, hes too iconic and our top goalscorer by quite a bit. NO ONE can overtake him as the goat apart from Foden ONLY IF he strays his entire career here and stays at the level shown last year (not this)
Just for Cams saying how good Silva was, I have subscribed. Silva earned a place in the best Spain team, in the first 11. Bar the world cup where he was just coming from injury, he staked his claim for being a mainstay in the first 11 over the likes of Fabregas. Silva was the closest thing to Iniesta and in terms of technical ability, could have been on his level. He was a top 5 and at worst top 10 player in the league every season for 10 years. In my opinion of course, he was the best player in the for all those ten years but I'm trying to be objective. Silva never lost the ball but could play those brilliant passes. Could dribble his man and dictate play. What else did he need to do? As a United fan, i hated that he went to the wrong Manchester team
Rationale for Bergkamp over Henry(not my own views): in 94/95 Arsenal finished 12, Bergkamp joined in the summer and Arsenal flew up to 5th. In 97/98 Bergkamp was the outright best player in the EPL which reaped a double, thus kicking off the golden period.....Henry joined in 1999. Bergkamp was our Cantona in a sense.
Pogba's hardest game was against Mousa Dembele for Spurs in 2017-18 season doesn't matter what he said it was cos 2017-18 was close to his prime and he got demolished by Dembele
let me ask you this though, in terms of impact for barcelona who would you say is greater Messi or Johan Cruyff, if you were to add up both their accomplishments on and off the field?
it's Cruyff. His legacy with La Masia and footballing culture is why Barça have literally survived as a club. Who knows if without it Messi even ever plays for Barcelona
Best player for Liverpool - it’s tough - I started watching football properly that Suarez season so didn’t see Gerrard much pre 2010 in his prime years - out of the other 3 for me it’s between VVD and Suarez - I haven’t seen a defender as dominant and complete as VVD in the 21st century and one that reached his heights which is why I’m leaning towards him
3:35 at their favorite best Ronaldinho brought more to his teams than Neymar. Ronnie single handly made barca great again when they were shiit for years. And although he doesnt have the stats Neymar has for brazil, Ronnie brough trophies for brazil, 99 Copa America, world cup plus confederation cup.
I 100% agree with the sentiment and you guys gave good arguments except for one because there is no way that, in terms of technical ability and if you want to say eye test, Iniesta is worse that Zidane and I'll die on this hill
I'm so happy we have many contenders but i just really think that greatest is easily Aguero and it really could only be topped by Foden if he stays his entire career with us and stays playing at last years level
@@we5t5id3gunn Disagree. Don’t think you can say easily anymore. It’ll be down to preference and KDB name is up there one trillion percent for greatest. Aguero and KDB have similar legacies, accolades etc at the club but one thing KDB has over Aguero is that he has clutch moments in England AND Europe. For me it’s KDB, but don’t think it’s just easily one or the other as you said
@@we5t5id3gunn What?! Are you joking? 🫣 Of course he is.. The most dominant period in the clubs history and KDB is the face of it, and not just the face of it, He’s the BEST PLAYER throughout it. Anyone who thinks of City nowadays think of KDB as much as Aguero.
I think being the team's ''best'' player needs to be accompanied with some achievements and legacy, Ballack, Suarez and R9 didn't really win anything with their clubs and did better with other clubs for various reasons, its like saying that Ronaldinho is AC Milan's best player for the 1.5 season he was with them
I think Suarez is the 2nd best player to ever play in the premier league. It doesn't make him a bigger Premier league Legend than Henry, Shearer, Gerrard, Rooney and so many more because they played in the league for so much longer, but in terms of talent and skill Suarez is the 3rd best player in my generation after the obvious 2
For Liverpool, Suarez or Gerrard for best player. Suarez probably the most talented player I've seen outside of Messi/Ronaldo and Gerrard is hands down the most complete footballer I've seen and one of my personal favourites to watch up with Messi, Ronaldinho and Suarez. Greatest between Gerrard and Salah and depending on how I woke up in the morning it's a coin toss between them. Van Dijk is the most complete defender I've seen and is brilliant but through all the bog-standard teams we had, Gerrard was the one who would pull something out of nothing and win us the game, Salah & Suarez just brought me so much joy so I prefer them to VVD. For me, I've not seen anyone in football who would win you a game like Gerrard. All of them are fantastic but if I had to only choose 1 of them in a team it's Gerrard every day of the week.
Salah is Liverpools best and greatest ever player. Salah in 17/18 peak is better than Van Dijks peak AND debatable with Suarez 13/14. Both neck n neck tbh AND Salah prime (length of excellence) has been longer than VVD. Suarez. With Gerrard, I'm not with all the sentiments, amazing player and is one of our greats for sure but I think there's the element of undervaluing his teammates to elevate him in Liverpools best moments and when Liverpool was actually bad there's overvaluing how great Gerrard actually was.
Ill do the best or Greatest of other genre or sports: Football: Best and Greatest is Messi. NBA: Best and Greatest is MJ. What would be the case if a great player played for the club but not at a very great level. Would PSG fans say Messi is their best player to play for their club despite not having better peaks than Neymar, Mbappe, Cavani and Ibra?
Lahm or Muller when it comes to greatest if we talking 90s+ for Bayern,Lewy isn't in that debate Cams, and if we talking best,it's either Robben, lewandowski
I know some old heads who say Bergkamp was Arsenal's best ever. I think they value stuff like elegance, first touch etc - and Bergkamp along with Wenger was the reference for Arsenal's transformation, was their best player in the 98 double. But in terms of ability there's really no contest, Henry was better. In terms of greatness too Henry was such a global brand, there would be no invincibles without him - virtually all of Arsenal's greatest CL nights (the few that exist) had Henry starring in them, while Bergkamp didn't really do anything. Funnily enough, people think of Bergkamp/Henry as a crazy duo, but their peaks didn't really align. Bergkamp was ageing and injury prone when Henry hit his 02-06 peak.
I value greatness more because inside greatness, there is the peak and ability, which you guys seem to value more (nothing wrong with it btw). But going through the trenches with a club or country, longevity of your prime, trophies won are also big factors for fans. I understand Journos & players in general view it differently. But fans are the consumers and most of the time they are the ones dictating how players are perceived. I'm a madrid fan and i think CR7 is our best & greatest ever player. But for some older madridista Raul, Di Stephano, Casillas or even Ramos are greater. It's just the feeling somebody gave u. Ain't really no wrong answer
Lyes is right, Müller is the Bayern Goat since 2000, you can argue about Lahm but no fan would say its Lewa, the best player maybe but i would choose Neuer because hes the goat goalkeeper
Rooney is United’s best and greatest. Best and Giggs are also ahead of him. Miss me with the Ronaldo talk, gave us one goated season. What Rooney did from 2009-2013 is more impressive. CR7 was thirsting for City and Madrid, was lifting his shirt like an A&F model towards United in the Juve game too 😂 he ain’t no great

CR7 had a higher peak than rooney has ever reached, from 2006 to 2009 he was in arguably a way better player than rooney. Rooneys at his best isn't better than cristiano at his best

Liverpool’s best player I’ve seen is Suarez. Gerrard the greatest but Salah and Virgil are close
Yo put back that intro gang 💀😭

Greatest: Gerrard easily
yeahhh i agree with this 100% 🤝🏾

I’m the same only thing about Suarez tho is he didn’t stay long enough and didn’t get us a major trophy, my list is best: 1 VVD,2 salah,3 Gerard 4 Suarez, cheeky 5 🤣mane greatest is obviously Gerard but I’m keeping it open if we get 2 more years out of salah and an additional UCL and prem from salah he’ll be the greatest player for me.
Erm our intro? Where’s the intro guys
Crazy how Messi is both
For me, as a man city fan kdb is both the greatest and best man city player of all time, kdbs ucl his moments in the ucl he was comfortably the best midfielder in the world for at least 3 seasons- 19/20, 20/21, 21/22, 22/23- he was the best in the league for at least 2 seasons - 19/20, 22/23 maybe the 2 seasons in between, his trophies his big game goals against madrid at the bernabeu and at the etihad arsenal at both the emirates and etihad, i think you could argue there was months where kdb may have been the best player in the world - last few months of treble season- dont think you could say the same for aguero not even the best in the league,
didnt play midfield in any of those seasons, 20/21 he played alot in the false 9 and in the recent seasons hes pretty much hugged or was close to haaland. Last season he was truly a midfielder was 17/18 where he had midfield responsibilities and wasnt exclusively a final phase player. But let's say he was a midfielder:
19/20 - kdb
20/21 - barella/kante
21/22 - modric
22/23 - rodri
I think he has done enough to be crowned citys greatest ever player, but he's far from best as a footballer.
@@Guestownedu foden played false 9 in 20/21 and wtf kdb limited do u even watch games??And being better ''footballers'' dont mean anything if you can't put up the numbers and kdb is the only city player that can change a game himself clearly why they won their first ucl with him
You don’t watch city enough if you have that opinion of KDB, he’s clearly their best player
@@Prime1Wunna watched 80 - 85% of city games since 2020. Actually watch him play 90 minutes every week, and I mean watch HIM play. Not watch the game and then he'll pop up in the 88th minute with g/a for 4 - 1 and you'll think hes the best player in the world cause he came up with a moment. It's likely in that same game he spent 95% of it spamming the same cross 20 times and tried forcing the same through ball which got easily intercepted 10 times.
youtube comps can make anyone look good
@ so you didn’t watch 2017 city, centurion city in which he was their best player, 2019/20 that’s arguably his best ever season
21/22 he played as the primary goalscorer because there was no striker
And 23/24 he was the main source of assists for HAALAND, in which a number of player combined couldn’t match his output
You describing him as a cross spammer is why your take is extremely incorrect and disingenuous, anyone who watch city can see that kdb is the main source of attack, gundogan and Bernardo Silva can collect the ball from the cb but don’t impact how city attack, that’s KDBs job
I think the best player can be argued to be the greatest but not the other way around, therefore the best player is my preference
Do one and include pre 90s. Players like beckenbauer deserve their flowers
I think you can have this debate in terms of greatness. But realistically we can't have the debate about who was the best because we haven't seen enough.
Hazard is 100% the best ever chelsea player
There shouldn't be any debate
Not only Chelsea's best player, I think he has been PL's best player since 2010. Hazard at his best (2015, 2018 and 2019) could influence games singlehandedly, on the same level as Messi and Neymar.
@@shahabuddin2802 1000% agreed.... People just seem to forget how good he was and are just always hating on him just because of how his career ended

Neuer is probably Bayern’s greatest player post 90’s. One of not the greatest goalkeeper of all time.
Glad Frank was brought up, was about to lose it that he wasn't mentioned. He become one of my favourite players to watch at that time, once I grew old enough to appreciate things a little more. The space interpreter is the embodiment of the club, evel look at him now with fans. Thing i will give phillip over him is that i feel like he played in more generations of the team

Kinda hilarious that it's just THAT one guy for that team 🤣 and I agree 100% to everything except I think Rooney's the best ever for Man Utd
@@syukrihantu yeah Rooney for me has a great case for being both the best ever and greatest for united but in my personal opinion slightly falls short in both but its debatable im not mad at it at all
KDB was literally clearly better than Silva and then reached greater heights with the club. KDB had an argent for not just best player in the PL but best midfielder in the world!
Clearly? CLEARLY?!
@ clearly. It was literally the difference of greatness vs goodness.
It’s like Busquets next to Xavi and Iniesta. Or Casemiro next to Kroos and Modric. Or Santi Cazorla and Ramsey next to Ozil.
Milan might be Kaka or Pirlo or Seedorf or Maldini wow what a team they were
Where’s CR7 for Juventus’ best and Messi for PSG’s best???
Messi is prolly 4th behind Zlatan, Neymar, and Mbappe…
CR7 idk man. Def behind Zidane and Platini… who else was BETTER…. Baggio? Del Piero? Pirlo? Buffon?
@@wayneverhoff2790for greatest maybe Zlatan and Neymar but for best I’d say it’s Messi
@@Deathmare235 their numbers are better
@@wayneverhoff2790 Yeah I can understand that Zlatan, Neymar and Mbappe are “greater” than Messi at PSG. But with being the “best” I thought Messi would be PSG’s “best” player.
Just trying to use their example of Lebron James being the “best” Miami Heat player but Dwyane Wade is the “greater” Miami Heat player.
Neuer could make an argument for best and greatest for bayern
not mentioning neuer is INSANE

Liverpools greatest is definitely Gerrard because of the competition at the time. But best can vary coz there's even Salah in that convo but Virgil hit such a high peak in that time when they got the prem and champions league
Ribery was a far better player then Robben.
Im suprised you man have Robben over.
Could go left right.
Perfect delivery
Excellent passer I dont think you man watched him enough.

KDB disrespect is crazy. He's the 🐐 and the best.
its not disrespect. im a citeh fan, he can be our best but no way is he the greatest. aguero is mister man city, hes too iconic and our top goalscorer by quite a bit. @@we5t5id3gunn only foden wtf so all of kdb's assists mean nothing?? lmao and where is augero's ucl this is just nostalgia bias
Aguero has 44 goals in 60 games against big 6 clubs to Rooney’s 45 in 75
let me ask you this though, in terms of impact for barcelona who would you say is greater Messi or Johan Cruyff, if you were to add up both their accomplishments on and off the field?
Messi bro it's not even close
it's Cruyff. His legacy with La Masia and footballing culture is why Barça have literally survived as a club. Who knows if without it Messi even ever plays for Barcelona
We need timestamps
Who is the top 2 and top 3 of Barcelona and Real Madrid (both Best & Greatest)?
I 100% agree with the sentiment and you guys gave good arguments except for one because there is no way that, in terms of technical ability and if you want to say eye test, Iniesta is worse that Zidane and I'll die on this hill
i think if you're talking about greatest by position instead of great for x club you start to get a lot of overlap between best and greatest
As a mancity fan
Best player: kdb
Greatest: there are many( aguero kdb silva)
I'm so happy we have many contenders but i just really think that greatest is easily Aguero and it really could only be topped by Foden if he stays his entire career with us and stays playing at last years level
@@we5t5id3gunn Disagree. Don’t think you can say easily anymore. It’ll be down to preference and KDB name is up there one trillion percent for greatest. Aguero and KDB have similar legacies, accolades etc at the club but one thing KDB has over Aguero is that he has clutch moments in England AND Europe. For me it’s KDB, but don’t think it’s just easily one or the other as you said

I think being the team's ''best'' player needs to be accompanied with some achievements and legacy, Ballack, Suarez and R9 didn't really win anything with their clubs and did better with other clubs for various reasons, its like saying that Ronaldinho is AC Milan's best player for the 1.5 season he was with them
Wasn’t Ronaldinho washed though
Lewandoski was better at his job than Michael ballack, that ranking made no sense respectfully
Also saying lewa as their greatest when he played for their rival and didn’t get along great with the team the entire time
I think Suarez is the 2nd best player to ever play in the premier league. It doesn't make him a bigger Premier league Legend than Henry, Shearer, Gerrard, Rooney and so many more because they played in the league for so much longer, but in terms of talent and skill Suarez is the 3rd best player in my generation after the obvious 2
WHERES THE INTRO
Ill do the best or Greatest of other genre or sports:
Football: Best and Greatest is Messi.
NBA: Best and Greatest is MJ.
