I bought a "refurbished" Dualshock 2 from Ebay and it looks perfect and all the buttons are nice and firm. I only have one issue. I have to move the left analog stick with a lot of force and it squeaks very loud. What do I need to do to fix it?
You can get a replacement rubber d-pad and clean the left dpad metal contact on the controller motherboard. It's the rubber in-between the dpad button and the motherboard.
@@AdamUPN0w Is the Dualshock 2 hard to disassemble? I once opened up a Dualshock 3 but I could not get the spring to fit right when placing the R2 trigger back in.
Very helpful! I am now going to skin all my bad controllers.
Thanks!
You're welcome!
Your commentary is hilarious at times... But great video.
Wasn't expecting others to find it funny but thanks.

@@AdamUPN0w No no. My left analog stick is stiff, not any of the buttons.
Oh right. It was late when I read it. You could buy a replacement stick or clean the existing one.

The ps3 dualshock 3 is harder to put back together.
