This is a really great demonstration of the T5 capabilities. It’s mind blowing beautifully executed by Taylor. Thanks for spending more time with it than your previous video.
We have definitely learned a lot since those early videos. The T5z Classic video had to be among the first we ever made. And yes, Taylor has really knocked it out of the park with these hybrids. Fantastic product.
These guitars always sound a bit harsh and tinny when I hear them played here on youtube. Wondering if thats true in person? Beautiful looking guitars!
Considering the thinner body, the tinny-ness is going to happend naturally as the top can't flex as much as it can with a larger body. The T5s sound good enough when unpluggged and will get the job done, but by design it is a guitar that is meant to be plugged into an amp.
I have one. I feel like I can coax a better plugged in acoustic sound than heard in most demos with a bit of compression and EQ. It’s never 100% authentic but I like it. The pickups are very “hifi” so the frequencies are there and you just need to sculpt it how you like. But the hifi pickups are, imo, problematic when trying to get electric sounds through a traditional electric guitar amp. They just don’t have that midrange poke to interact with a guitar amp well. So I like it for full range hifi clean “acoustic-ish” sounds on stage. But I’d never use it for aggressive dirty sounds.
Still looking for someone in the net who does a constant strumming pattern. Without any arpeggios. Just strumming basic chords. Would be the best comparison example to a acoustic guitar in my opinion.
Yes we have actually started adding that into some our new videos, just diamonds on basic chords! We agree. Look for some of the new videos as we release them!
What does it sound like unplugged ?? It's called acoustic, yet not one RUclipsr plays it acoustically !! Everybody does the same presentation !! Generic mind control !
12:56 but we did play it acoustically… and it’s not really much of an acoustic guitar, it’s meant to be plugged in. That’s why everyone plays it plugged in.
Nice presentation.... amazing guitar!

Wow what a guitar!
Bought this exact model five days ago. Can't put it down, best guitar I have ever purchased .
what type of strings do you use. electric or acoustic. I have a Godin A6 Ultra. and they say to use electric
I have this exact model and absolutely love it.
Got one, love it
Just pulled the trigger on the same... will pair it to their Circa74 amp also custom Koa
Good demo, demonstrating the natural tones with the dirty ones . This guitar costs around 2300 eur for the most basic model, not cheap.
Nice! What distortion or overdrive are you using in your demo at 14:15? Sounds great!
It was the amp’s overdrive channel. The amp is a Blackstar St. James with 6L6s.
That’s my next guitar…
What is the name of the first song you played at 4:06? Sounds so amazing
Did you sell this one yet?
Where is the neck p/u located?
It’s under the fingerboard towards the top of the body.
@@tarpley-music Thanks. Interesting!

They sound good in person. You have a lot of flexibility with the tone controls.
