Yeah, the 1200 must be a torque maniac! I haven't really seen the 1200 in use, I will try pay attention to your Ecto videos, but I can imagine it can go sloooow... They are really great rigs, these, for sure!
Thanks Damian, yeah, it's awesome on the rocks. Of course the weak point is it's narrow and top heavy, I guess I didn't show that very well. I found that I loved those slow climbs, very meditative for my mind. Thanks, I do like this video, except part three, I shot it probably 6-8 times, all with random varying technical issues, ha ha.
This is the one I REALLY wanted!! Not quite ANYTHING, but just cool doing everything! 😎 Can't afford one anymore, but great to see you enjoying yours!! 😀 👍👍
Ah, Carmine, that's a good place to start when I need figure out that squeeky sound, probably the wheel bearings from when I was driving in snow this winter, I cleaned them nicely, but the oil might be washed out or something. Yeah, it's a great rig, but like you said, expensive! Sometimes it still shocks me I spent that much on a toy, but we're all insane! You have an Axial SCX10, right? I believe that's also a high end very capable rig.
Hi Mads! Great little video my friend. So I gather you like the Gatekeeper?!?!?! Hehe, yes and now I can see why. The way it tackled those rocks was so impressive, the slow speed torque and control is insane. Beautiful weather and scenery there too. And yes, of course I stayed until the end, I thought your "talkie" bit was excellent. Take care mate and I look forward to the next one! :O)
Thanks Mark! Yeah, you got the point, ha ha! Yeah, I figured when I watch RC videos I also like to observe the scenery also, there is so many places to see. Happy I could contribute on that topic. Yeah, the talk bit, you may have noticed it started a bit awkward. I think I shot 6 or 8 takes, basically all had some sort of technical flaw or many of them actually only recorded halfway. So I went with this one. My state of mind was very different for this one, but somehow it worked just sitting at a desk talking to the phone camera... Yeah, you too, mate! I'm guessing it's your Friday video next up, probably Saturday morning comment!
Yo Shayne, thanks a lot, mate! I've seen these rigs shredding and jumping, flinging dust everywhere, proper beasts! Mine is a slowpoach and will likely remain that way. I'm hoping for something fast next time, summer is time for the fast ones! Have a good one there! I need to go check if I missed something from you, been a while...
@@madsrcbuggy I haven't posted in a while just to busy with work. I've got a video recorded just haven't got around to editing it. Heading to the track this weekend, I'm buying a 2nd hand 1/10 4x4 competition buggy off the track owner, so will take a video for that. Once I've got that car I can look at a Tamiya for the Vintage class. Take care bro 😀
Thanks, happy you liked it! It's a great machine for sure! I subscribed to your channel, looking forward to watch your Gatekeeper videos. Congrats on being number 200, I should buy you an ice cream or something!
I like the video very much, and I like the content. New subscriber. I have a Gatekeeper as well. I added 12MM hex extensions on mine and it really helped with the tipping over. Brass does help but I dont have any except the extensions. Impressive work with the crawling. You can really make the Hobbywing shine!
Hey Oper, thanks for the awesome comment! Yeah, the Gatekeeper is a great machine! I also wanted to widen mine, but when I was looking for the wider hexes, I couldn't find them, and then I forgot about it... That HW Fusion is a proper powerhouse for the Gatekeeper, was expensive but I don't regret getting it...
I love my Gatekeeper. Have the 3300kv Axe system in it right now but believe the Fusion would be the better choice, if not for extra room alone. It does rip out on the trails with the Axe, even with heavy axles and hardened steel gearing throughout.
Yeah, Shannon! I think even though the Gatekeeper is a weirdo, everyone who has one, they gotta love it! I could have used a 3300kV system in mine last winter, I took it out in the snow and it ripped. But now it's the rocks, and I am really happy with 1800. Thanks for commenting and telling me about your machine.
Thanks for commenting, man! No idea what it was, I suspect a bit of rust on some bearings, it is gone now, I didn't do anything about it... Kind of a bummer it was there when I shot the video, though...
the element gate keeper and ecto are great I have the 1200 in mine

Looks very capable, the slow steep crawling is awesome. Great video 👍🏼

You are really talented my friend 🤗 you have my full support 😁 thank you for sharing this amazing video👌👌
Yeah, that's proper motivation, thanks so much!
Fellow gatekeeper. Love this rig . Nice one buddy 👍👍👍
Thanks Dom, it is really one of my favourites! I enjoyed your Gatekeeper videos a lot, especially the one on a mission doing nothing special, ha ha!
@@madsrcbuggy thanks. I really like the gk. Having the open wheel you can really see the suspension at work and I like the trailing arms 👍

...... those Bearings need OIL!!!! 😲

I have 2 SCX10s and a Wraith, highly modified. Love them, but have always been curious about the Gatekeeper.
Use very light oil on the Bearings. 😉
Gradients ya nailed there 🤜🤜🤜👍
Thanks Dom! I was worried it'd be boring to just watch a car driving up a slope, but I wanted to keep those clips, happy someone likes them!
@@madsrcbuggy I love watching crawling . Watching the suspension and seeing when they gain traction . 👍
Awesome machine dude👍😀💪💪💪
Thanks Playtime, that's the exact words I use for this thing also, it's a great RC!

Very cool Mads. The low ratio gearing is amazing. Great build 👏 These are neat rigs, can be bashed as well.
