You know what's funny? Sonic could've ran to safety too and met up with Kirby. But he was trying to reach for Pikachu before her got caught. So he wasn't running at his full speed. Mewtwo and Lucario as well, they're pretty powerful and managed to dodge the stuff before they got caught as well. It shouldn't have been Kirby alone, it should have been a small team or cute partner adventure. That would've been more fun.
