Why was it KURDT though?
Kurt would occasionally write his name as "Kurdt", especially in his younger Nirvana days
@@danlazaro1435 Thank you! I knew I was missing something.
@@pokeyme247 I remember photos of Nirvana with Kurt/Kurdt/Curt etc 😂
@@kkrsnn5632 same bro he never really cared how he spelt it, wasn’t much into autographs, probably why it’s worth so much or that he’s the most popular thing when you think of Seattle
On the back of the Bleach album, it was spelled ‘Kurdt’
As mentioned, he spelled it that way early on
Eddie is the only one that survived of all his friends. Kurt, Layne, Scott, Chris all gone.
Scott was from another scene, I don't think they were really close, but yeah... We gotta cage Eddie to protect him from his rockstar destiny
Mark Lanegan is still alive
A lot of people seem to forget the downward spiral of A.I.C’s original bassist Mike Starr. He died of an overdose in March 2011. Also ‘Mad Season’s’ bassist John Baker Saunders died from an overdose in the late ‘90’s.
R.I.P. 🇦🇺🕊
Don't forget Andy Wood
Which is a shame because he has worst voice of them all
Such a heartbreaking video, loved Kurt Cobain and I absolutely love Eddie Vedder, Eddie got such a beautiful heart!! I think Kurt fans should watch this, so many Kurt fans dislike Eddie. So much awesome music in the 90's!! Thank you for sharing this heartfelt video 😊💓🤘✌️
I love Kurt, I love Eddie, I love Nirvana, I love Pearl Jam 🥰
@@NirGrunge90 same 🤍
@@NirGrunge90 Couldn't agree more!!

Eddie vedder is a national treasure. Protect him at all costs
It was very nice of Eddie to do that.
RIP Kurt, I hope everyone is doing alright 🙏
One of the best videos of the 90’s
I was coming home from a 6 month deployment on board uss carl vinson when they passed out a ship News letter. ( as they did before every port) and on the front page was the news about Kurt’s suicide, I was heartbroken! Before the album nevermind I thought I would never go see a live show as all the bands I liked were older , I didn’t want to see milli vanilli or even supposed rock bands that wore spandex and a full can of hairspray just to go onstage…. Kurt and all the Seattle bands I learned about after gave me HOPE for music again and I will ALWAYS be grateful RIP Kurt, Chris, Andy, and layne!
Un tipo muy humilde y muy humano Eddie. El gesto que tuvo hablo muy bien de él.
God, they had such an amazing time from the looks of the memories of Vedder. Basement parties after Crocodile shows..i mean damn....
Eddie seems so deep and like he has a big heart! I’m in love with that! Lyrics like his comes from that depth… Maybe it’s the depth that is grunge…
That aired like a few days after Kurt died. Kroq was giving away a trip to NY to see PJ at SNL that week. I couldn't care less, but I did watch and notice Eddie paid tribute. I copied him by writing "Kurt" on the headstock of my strat. It eventually became "The Kurt Guitar".
Thanks, I love Kurt and Eddie, I love Nirvana and Pearl Jam 😊✨💋
The best music that even my kids listen to is from the early 90’s. Stay strong, Eddie!
I was there. All those things he’s talking about. The shows at the crocodile and the after parties at some house in the basement making new friends networking sharing music and trading tapes. Amazing days. We’d be sitting around sharing a bowl or a bottle of Jager and some music would be on and we’d go “ who the hell is this”. And some dude would say “do you like it”. We’d say who the fuck is this?” And he’d go “that’s my band, I’m the singer”. And We’d talk and get the brand name then watch for them in the local rags and go to their shows and walk up to them. We’d remember each other, hug go hang backstage smoke a bit and invite everyone over for a spontaneous after party. This shit happened once or twice a week for several years in the early nineties
I saw the tribute museum they organized for Kurt and it is perplexing to think he is like one of us. He celebrated birthdays, played with his relatives, and enjoyed being in the spotlight. The problem is the experiences he encountered in an unstable state. It is almost with 100% assurdity that the elements were stacked against him. The issue is he wanted the freedom he had but lost a part of his mechanism to sustain himself and not allow the outside to dictate his health and well being.
Living in the bronx in the early 90's listening to PJ and the other grunge bands was my escape
27 years young :( rip kurdt ❤️
Love them both 💕
Eddie is now KURDT... Hes the KING!! played Chicago a night or so ago with the Earthlings... I saw Pearl Jam finally @ Rupp Arena.. and I do love Motley Crue as well Nikki 6 so shut that pie hole...
I love this. Eddie is such a humble great guy. I miss Kurt.
suka keduanya mereka musisi yang bagus
he still Alive...
Eddie never had beef with Kurt and vise versa it was the media trying to make Nirvana is the creators of "grunge" no it's Pearl Jam and so on, this was my era I was a teenager when this was happening, it was Mud Honey, Fugazzi, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Mother Love Bone/Pearl Jam, STP, etc, it just happened to be a slew of great bands making great music and if you know anything about Ed you will never find anything about him bashing Kurt, he's one of the most kind hearted front men in the greatest rock band ever. He only goes after corruption lol Ed is great and we're greatful he is still with us and if you haven't seen them in concert, I highly recommend it. ✌️💙
Isn't Ed like 5'7" tall? That puts Estavez at a towering 5'5". . .
damn i never knew he was 5'7 thats so cool. im almost 5'7. eddies wife is a supermodel ands she's tall but they look great together.
How cute💘
Another big loss that year when they fired Dave A. That was the end of the grunge era for me.
I mean he’s an awesome drummer, top tier, but they had differences and found themselves not wanting to work with him. I can’t say I’m happy with their decision, but I do understand it. And it’s been almost 30 years, so I don’t think hanging onto it is gonna do any good at this point. I’ve opened myself up to Irons and Cameron, and I also really like their drumming. I think they went on to make some great music even without Krusen or Abbruzzese.
Fico triste toda vez que lembro isso...
I'm almost 50 now BUT that music and those bands are well... IMMORTAL and im glad that we all got to enjoy those musical geniuses because Great Music doesn't just fall out of the Sky all the time...so when you see Great things enjoy them & hold them Dear because excellence like I said just doesn't happen Daily... We also lost Scott Weiland who I consider a Genius along with the other Stone Temple Bandmates... and Eddie we hope you play & live as long as you can because you & Cantrell and Kinney and gosh the other guy with long black hair & he knows who he is and how Genius he was & is with Alice in Chains... their Music lives on!
Im am gonna be 50 this year.
The 1990's was one of the best times to be a teenager or early twenties music wise. So many great bands. Janes Addiction, Nirvana , Pearl Jam ..... I could go on.
Proper bands. Real instruments. The friendships made.
What A Time.
Fuck Yeah!!
How profound
But this video does not address what Eddie says at the end of the live performance of Daughter. He quotes Neil Young “hey hey, my my. Rock n roll will never die” but he goes on to say “there’s more to the picture that meets the eye..”
Is this Eddie telling us something about Cobain’s death!?!?!?
Babe....I'll love you to the end
Such a beautiful gesture. Typical Eddie .
MOTLEY CRUE "GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS".
Just keep Pearl Jammin
Seriously, I'm not sure what to say!
I love Jeremy
I used to not like it
he played “i’m still alive” the first concert after kurt cobain’s death to spite him.
he did? any link to it?
@@sannieeeee He didn’t.
@@chadwickmcfaggins9734 good to know he didn't, i know he's not that kind of guy
Eddie did not do that, I watched that concert. Eddie did not sing Alive out of spite, you need to experience yourself, the audience was amazing they made Eddie feel better!!!
エディ以外全員死んだ
Eddie sacrificed them all to become the star she is.
kurt hated his band.
He wasn’t a fan at first, but they put their differences aside after a little bit and he came around to it. You’ve gotta remember, Ten was PJ’s Nevermind. Very clean, very produced-sounding, it was for the masses more than the scene they were actually in. Kurt looked at PJ the way the fans looked at Nirvana, but instead of with admiration, it was with contempt. When he got to know them and realised they weren’t this clean, soft, pop band, he stopped hating them. Both bands’ next albums were more raw sounding.
Of course Pearl Jam is fucking shit.
Ok people of the 90s . Nirvana or Pearl Jam.
Eddie Vedder é mais falso que uma nota de 3 reais.
Boring band... Boring news... Meh!
