great video! happy to see vilma talk more its great having her in front of the camera, you two are a great team! on to the kitchen proyect next, cant wait 😀
Good job - it looks great! The tiles are of the terrazzo type - that means that it's pretty much a bunch of rocks that are casted in a binding agent; and later is surface grinded and polished. It is recommended to be cut with a diamond blade in either a wet tile saw or with an angle grinder as the fragility between the rock and the binding agent can differ - so its a real gamle to cut with the kind of tile cutter you used. Not that I'm a pro myself - but I'm on my 5th year and second house of renovation. So one have picked up a few things along the way 😅
Congratulations to you both. After this, you will have a tremendous sense of accomplishment, and attachment to the apartment. I hope your neighbors appreciate how much you're increasing the value of the building. Love the matching height of the tile & flooring; friends from Lithuania did this in their house here in California (it looks phenomenal), where otherwise no one even bothers to try.
In general, I love your content, @AlexandreChappel, but the dizzying camera work gives me a headache sadly. Otherwise, it is a joy to see the two of you working together, trying new things and having fun withal.
underheated wooden floors are amazing. ive not had proper ones but my old house i had sanded floorboards and all the hot water pipes ran under the floor and was lovely and warm on a winter morning!
You must be very proud of your girlfriend, she is very brave and determined and has done an impeccable job, I am really impressed, I could never have done it as well as her, she is a great professional, greetings from Madrid and congratulations to both of you.
She's a natural at this whole home renovation thing, you're both making it such an amazing space, and inspiring me to sort some things in my own house. :)
My girlfriend was as active and happy to learn in our renovation project too. We are very lucky men! :) Our project took 5 year intense, and 3 years roll-off though. Full old farmhouse which we practically rebuilt within itself.. ;) Linda, my girlfriend learned to drive an excavator in the process.
Love your videos but this one was a bit too shaky for me was giving me a bit of motion sickness. I would consider getting a handheld gimble next time? :)
Damn, that girl is badass! Ive seen grown ass man (who have been contractors for ages) struggle with measurements and installation when tiling for the first few times.
Was gonna mention about cutting your tile. Like glass, you only want to score it once. Re-scoring multiple lines (like you might do a knife blade cutting a piece of paper) will create different breaking points that run almost parallel causing the tangents you see. Not all tiles, but this type. Score only once. Then snap
With todays tools they have made doing a lot of DIY projects easier. Laying tile was never hard but laying tile and making it look good was. But now with the tools they have making it look nice isn't an issue. Good job guys.
Looks really nice! She did a great job! That heated flooring looks really easy to put in too. How is the heating controlled? Is there a wall control for it?
You better marry her, that is some proper teamwork. Not many couples get to share that. After having kids, I kind of envy you can do that. It's mostly my job now.
Great work. I cant wait to see you do the floor heating with those infra red panels. I used them in my place and I have not decided yet if I am happy about them. They do use a lot of energy, hence more expensive then heating with gas. At least in my case.
One score only with manual tile cuters. They just create a tiny fracture, when you score twice it creates more than one fracture line and the split will go down either score lines and jump across both as well making the cut not a clean one.
In my village's house, we did more or less the same, but with a rubber mallet and a lot of elbow grease. Those orage thingies would have been really useful. But anyways, after all that hard work, we realized that building on top of plain soil isn't as accurate as you may think over the years.
Were there no alternatives to electric floor heating? I thought if the rest of the apartment has central heating (water-based heating), why not include the underfloor heating? In Sweden, where I live, electric underfloor heating is almost never installed...
When pouring and mixing the concrete mix, add a vacuum cleaning on the side of the bucket and you don't have any dust going into the room! Smart, right?!
Hello from Australia! This has been a great series. Hopefully you aren't too exhausted after it all! Maybe you can start a smart home series following this... time to take this well into the future and beyond :D
Vilda would be an AWESOME addition to the channel. Have her on like every third episode. Even at the shop. You nailed it Vilda!!! Great Job!
Vilda is the hero of this one. Thank you for making an appearance and entertaining us. This series is absolutely amazing.
I love Vilda's energy! And she did an outstanding job!
She is badass and adds a lot to your videos.. her smile and way to talk/react are cool and fun to watch... Makes all more "natural".. great job vilda!
I love how your project moves on. Would be great to have an "worst Mistakes" supercut to learn from
I agree! After the series is done, it’s nice to have a summary to recap.
Honestly, watching you guys have fun together had my grinning through the whole video, this was great!
Always nice to have Vilda pop in everyone once in a while! Great content as always!

Yeah girl power DIY !! Awesome work Vilda (hope I spelled that right). The tiles are so colourful but still understated, they look great!
In my appartment even the tiles are not leveled to each other 😅
In general, I love your content, @AlexandreChappel, but the dizzying camera work gives me a headache sadly. Otherwise, it is a joy to see the two of you working together, trying new things and having fun withal.
underheated wooden floors are amazing. ive not had proper ones but my old house i had sanded floorboards and all the hot water pipes ran under the floor and was lovely and warm on a winter morning!
A true episode of friendship and true love.
Thanks for sharing that.
Keep up the good work

Love the Vilda content, cool to see you two building things together!
Nice to hear her actually talk!
its so great when partners get involved and learn new things together. Fantastic result!
Wilda (V,sp?) is a star; and a BADASS builder :-)
That tile-suction-thingy looks amazingly helpful
Great job! And wonderful to see the two of you working well together.
I've been absolutely loving this renovation series. Your content in general is amazing and i can't wait to see more of it.
You guys are such a great team
I like glass and tile saws but thats kind of neat that you are scoring and breaking tiles
Electric in-floor heating.
i don't know the price for electrcity in oslo, but in germany that would be basically unaffordable to use.
Love this channel even before this series started. Now this couple give me power to build my own house. Thank you from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Vilda is awesome. Trying something for the first time in front of a camera und doing a great job... Chapeau.
Man, thanks to all the sponsors. I could never imagine putting all that time and money in an apartment that I do not own.
I have been watching these since you started. I really cannot wait until the big reveal once your done.
I think she did a marvelous job. Very well done.!!
Vilma first video🎉❤. You did great! The tiles match the flower pots you cast mold last year!
a stabilizing gimble for the camera would be extra helpful, almost got seasick :)) nice video anyway!
Great to see you working together and excellent first time tiling.
Love your videos but this one was a bit too shaky for me was giving me a bit of motion sickness. I would consider getting a handheld gimble next time? :)

Outstanding teamwork. Loving how this is all coming together.

I've been enjoying the project. I do wish your camera had some sort of image stabilization though...
Love the Terazzo tile!
Awesome video. I'm going to be tiling my bathroom soon and watching this makes me both excited and scared.
Looks really nice! She did a great job! That heated flooring looks really easy to put in too. How is the heating controlled? Is there a wall control for it?
She's the best ♥
She's funny! Should include her more!
Looks amazing! So impressed she can do this first time - looks very physically taxing.
2:38 I think you meant "less viscous"
You guys are so cute! And the tiles are awesome, I love the pattern.
Vilda is doing so great! Girl power! 😊👍
Soon we can all move in! 😄
Great music at the last couple minutes of the video!
Awesome! You guys killed it! Well done! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
What a team!
The love for Vilde in these comments is adorable (and well-deserved)
She is funny as hell
Great job on the floor
Thanks for sharing

It's always a great day when I see new video from you on my feed :)
Loved seeing Vilda stretching her wings on this project!
Loved the content, kudos to Vilda btw, but please!! stabilize that motion sickness guaranteed camera!!
Amazing video! You are such a lucky man.

nice
What is the name of the tiles you used? And where did you source them?
i quite enjoy tiling. your house is going to look amazing dude. and hopefully youtube is paying for it all! :)
Well done... May i ask what is the laser you are using please?
When pouring and mixing the concrete mix, add a vacuum cleaning on the side of the bucket and you don't have any dust going into the room! Smart, right?!

killin it per usual gj guys!
Great looking tiles. Where did you bought them and what are they called?
Love seeing the joy and excitement you guys have when building your new home! The tiles look amazing!!
Amazing before watching ❤
Pure electrical floor heating? I hope there is going to be some AC unit (heatpump) to save lots of energy on heating the whole apartment.
Let me tell you that the first time i did some timing it didn't looked that nice haha. Great work !
The good old bait and switch, wine them, dine them, make 'em love you and then, make 'em renovate your new apartment.
She deserves an award
She should settle for nothing less than a trip to Hawaii
Marry her already, dammit 😉
The camera vibrates a lot
You owe her a nice dinner somewhere for all that great effort :)
Nice work :))
I get dizzy with that shaky camera 😵💫
getting motion sickness watching this
I'm gonna be in Stavanger next week (subject to visa aproval) let me know how we can meetup!!
It's a few hours on the train from Stavanger to Oslo.
Crazy couple 🤣
omg, :) you downplaying the time it will take, she stating how long it really took. Man, I have been there so many times. The life of an optimist. ;)
