Weird how Tom's highs are the most clearest, most understandable highs I know, while his lows are way more unintelligible than most deathcore vocalists. No hate, his voice is awesome, just unusual

saw them and met Tom in August 2015 opening for Carnifex, then again in 2019 with CJ April 2019 opening for Carnifex, haven't seen them since they've blown up but Psalms was my first impression and it was like a black mass seeing them live the first time, so cool!

Tom's a really, really cool dude. Got the pleasure to chill with him a few times. I'm not generally a fan of this genre and style of music, but I can honestly vibe to this as a predominant listener of rap, alt, and classical. Gnarly stuff.
So crazy that this was the first LS song I ever heard and my boy and I instantly loved them. Fast cut 9 years later they're one of the biggest deathcore bands in existence. All hail the boys.

What i really like about this guys is that they do whatever they want in their songs, they dont follow trends, they are really good expresing what they want to express in the rawest form possible, but this song doesnt convince me 100%, i like parts of the song but not a song as a piece, i know for sure that they will kill it totally in psalms and i really hope they get the attention they really deserve

Linnet's Covers Personally, i LOVE the vocals on this song. His highs sound more crisp and remind me alot of All Shall Perish(or I guess Suicide Silence currently), and Black Dahlia Murder. His lows are soundin' more sludgy and I'm lovin' it, haha.
During the release of Maleficium, they said that and everything after is going to be different. Sooo imo think of it as a self titled album, where they're kinda redefining their sound and whatnot..if yer saying it sounds different from the two releases prior of Maleficium.

blamar1560 I don't think they would be a good fit together. Tom has a very disgusting, distorted scream, while Phil has a very low, raw, but smoother sound. I personally think if you're going to have a duo, one should be a clean vocalist. But they're deathcore and clean vocalists are basically taboo to them.

Return To Nothingness is good but Pain Remains is terrible and I’m not hyped for current Lorna.
So far , the new Chelsea Grin seems to host a lot more of the early Lorna sound that I like. I’m really hoping Tom uses CG as an extension for Lorna’s original sound.
Fun story, whenever Psalms dropped I first saw them with Carnifex, didnt know who they were at the time besides the kitty deathcore video, was blown away from their performance me and my guitarist were both like dude we have to go see them next time regardless if we have to drive 3 hours. They announced the tour with Chelsea Grin for the desolation of eden run and we're both like fuck it lets book a hotel and go

@@dlrsnate5100 its crazy cus the story i told you was only the beginning, when flesh coffin came out my band had the opportunity to open for them and being able to not only see them consistently for 3 years but to also open for them atleast once was a fucking dream come true. Obviously ive listened to them since then but havent seen them live. I do have tickets on halloween night for the houston date but its not going to have the same impact as the 3 shows from 2015-2017 when it was more of a special thing

The vocal mixing just sounds a bit like farting at some parts of the track,and the drum track seems a bit cluttered. I fucking loved Maleficium, but I hope this track isn't a reflection of what the rest of the album will sound like.
