    I will use imitation vanilla extract since pure vanilla has points. The breakfast brownies sound great. Walmart has swerve confectioners sugar replacement. You can buy the Lakanto powdered sugar substitute from Amazon. I have lost almost 50 pounds since February.

    • @PlanningUsHealthy
      @PlanningUsHealthy  3 года назад

      Hi Geri!! You can have 1-1/4 tsp of the pure extract for 0 points! 😉 Our Walmart here in Florida sells just the serve brown sugar and regular. Ours also sells Lakanyo. In some areas, people can't find it anywhere. I think each state is different. Not sure why that is. Congrats on your weight loss!!!! You must feel fantastic!!! ❤❤

      @@PlanningUsHealthy Thanks for letting me know about the amount of pure vanilla extract you can have. I normally only use up to 1 teaspoon in recipes.

      You're welcome!! 😁😁 It's possible brands may be different but any I have used always scan out 0 when I use a teaspoon.

    Good to know in thawing fish....great recipes!

      @PlanningUsHealthy  3 года назад

      Thanks Sherry!! Yeah, I always used to just thaw the fish right in the plastic under running water, but then I read something about the plastic causing bacteria or something. And then I noticed on the package, it does say not to thaw in the plastic.

    FYI, Walmart carries the SWERVE brand. They carry the brown, confectioners, and granulated sugars in my FL Walmart.

      @PlanningUsHealthy  3 года назад

      Mine does too!! I think they carry the Lakanto brand too. I think we are lucky in Florida. A lot of people say their stores dont carry it. Same with the cake batter extract!

    I have the same beaters with the plastic container it goes into and never thought of using them to shred chicken, great idea. You are saying it right, at least that was how I say the word La Vash. I'm going to have to make the brownies and the chicken quesadillas. They look great and yummy. We love garlic also.

      Those Lavash flatbreads are so good!! I really like them. Hope you like the brownies and the chicken! If the brownies were my recipe, I'd call them oatmeal bread or oatmeal bake rather than brownies just because of the texture and the fact that they're not overly sweet and fudgy like brownies are.

    I use Greek yogurt in place of sour cream. I honestly can't tell the difference. I am sorry if someone has already told you this.

    • @PlanningUsHealthy
      @PlanningUsHealthy  3 года назад +1

      I have heard that. I can do that in some recipes, but for some reason, I can't get past the texture to use it as plain sour cream. If I use it in recipes, I'm fine, but for tacos or something, the texture is so different to me. I wonder if it matters the kind you use. I find Fage isn't as tart as others. What kind do you use?

    You can take any granulated sugar substitute (and sugar too) and put it in a food processor, coffee grinder or blender and process it into confectioner's sugar. I should wait before I hit comment. At any rate, there's a channel called "Flexible Dieting Lifestyle" and he uses the lavash bread to make chocolate (you could use other fillings) pop tarts. I haven't tried them but they sound really good. Here's the link if you are interested: ruclips.net/video/TM_LJ6qrKj8/видео.html

    Just wondering how you got 5 pts for the quesadillas? The lavash bread was 2 and the cheese was 2. Is the 5 with the sour cream?

    • @PlanningUsHealthy
      @PlanningUsHealthy  3 года назад

      I just rechecked it in the app and now my points are different. You have to use just under 1/2 cup (so 3/8 of a cup) of the cheese to make it be 5 points. For 1/2 cup of the cheese, it's actually 4 points just for the cheese, but if you bump it down to 3/8, it's 3 for the cheese. When I built the recipe originally, it was giving me 3 for the cheese. That's odd. So, just use a little less than 1/2 cup and you'll be good. Thanks for the catch! I just updated the description box.

    I’ll be putting up to 7 grams of Hershey’s Chocolate lite syrup on those breakfast brownies and maybe a little fat free whip AND the Swerve confectioner’s sugar. Because I like my brownies sweet like that! 😁

  • @PlanningUsHealthy
    @PlanningUsHealthy  3 года назад +2

    Check out my note in the description box about the amount of cheese for the quesadilla. You have to use a little less than 1/2 cup to make it come out to those points.

    Another great meal prep! I'm wondering if the brownies would work with oat flour? If it would give it more of the brownie texture. I'm on purple and since oats are 0, I count oat flour as 0 since I just grind up oats in my food processor. They look delicious and a generous serving. Would be good as a smaller serving with a banana or other fruit.
