bb8 was a full ball that rolled to get around. this thing has 2 wheels to get around, leaning more to an R2 unit.

Gita knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive Gita from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't.

I love this. Because of a traffic accident I've been having trouble walking since I was a teenager and that's been a few decades now, this device could be a life changing helper for people like me. However, I already have to hide my phone when I'm outside, from the sort of people who see a woman walking with a stick and think "ah, you can't run, I can take your stuff and you can't fight back" (which in my case would be a misconception on their side, but not everybody is able to fight back like me). So my question to the developers is: could you please make this device so people with handicaps can easily use it, but without cowardly predator types being able to run off with it. I know it's heavy, but I can tell you for sure that where I live, someone would take a friend with him to steal it. People with handicaps have more trouble doing every day things that other people take for granted, like shopping for groceries, and it's so great if there's something like this to help, so we don't have to be dependent on other people. As someone who's been struggling doing every day things for over 25 years, I can tell you I'd rather depend on a robot to help me than a human being.
