It’s really nice that you are open-minded and not afraid to try new things, especially different kinds of food. Every person has her/his unique preferences and perspectives on things. Thank you for the comparison.
India has very strong heritage and cultural preservation. Their names, and food, spirituality have been solid thousands of years. The Philippines have been occupied and influenced heavily by Spain and America.
Jesus Christ died on the Cross over 2,000 years ago for all of humanity’s sins. Only way to become saved is to believe(more than just acknowledging his existence)on Jesus Christ and what he did on the Cross for your sins. After one is saved by believing, God gives that person a new nature that wants to go good and not sin. But until a saved person is finally in Heaven, the new God given nature and the old sinful nature are gonna be clashing. Anybody from America, Philippines, India, Norway, Spain and Pakistan and so on and so fourth can become saved, regardless of your lifestyle, who you are and where you are in the world.
@bighand1530 being spiritual means going beyond religion, labels and barriers. The world is filled with various faiths. Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus Christians. Everyone is equal and there's goodness in each soul in the eyes of spirituality.

What makes lumpia different from other springrolls is the wrap. It's thinner, it also have an ingredient often left out in the muslims countries in SEA, pork. Personally, I like lumpiang shanghai more than the chinese/japanese/thai springrolls because it's crispier.
A “systembolaget” would not fly here. Manila is the real City that never sleeps if you think of it. Almost everything is open 24/7. Also, Apple juice is very much part of any celebration. Or just like the Pub culture in the UK, people here like to unwind with their juice at the end of a tiring day.
Me too. I can’t stand both taste and smell. I think it’s more of acquired taste. Where I live, there’s lots of Indian food stall but I’m just not used to it.
Filipinos doesn't really like to put a lot of spices in their food, their palate is more on the basic food tastes that are distinct from each other - sweet, sour, salty, bitter, tangy, etc. the danger in putting a lot of spices is the food, although more complex, tends to taste the same.

too much spices will overpower the food. they use the same spices in every dishes they made and it will end up the same taste for every different dishes. I tried their food and i appreciated it on how unique it was but eating it everyday even though it is different food but with the same spices is like eating the same dishes everyday which is not appetizing on my part
India is a lot more vegetarian than the philippines...or the world, because of culture and religion. Beef is not really an option and pork is considered "dirty" by both hindus and muslims.
I’m Filipino. I believe that Indian Food is more complex and better. Filipino food from Manila, often represent Philippines. Personally, I think Mindanao and Visayas fooda are better, that should represent our type of food to the world. Even living in Manila, I get so tired of Manila food 😂 I try to go to restaurants that offer Mindanao and Visayas dishes. While living in Oslo, I got tired of Indian Food.
