I can't believe that this is the final episode! Porto is easily one of my favorite cities I've ever traveled to, and the francesinha is a big part of that. Any idea where I can find one in the states? Willing to travel 🙌
I wish there was when I lived for 6 years in LA. Missed it so much. You just have to (wel)come back!!! :)
This vlog just reminded me that I really need to find an excuse to go to Porto once again. And I can give you one excuse to return, beside the francesinha. You missed the Arcádia chocolates. They are sooooooooooo good.
Can't believe this is the last one either! Hope Eater will bring you back for more...
Please tell me they brought you a second round of francesinha sauce. Pleeeeeeease tell me they re-drenched your francesinha half way through! (If not,I am leaving my house and having a word with café Santiago.) Seriously, the second pour of francesinha sauce is essential.
You are an incredible host they must re-up on this show!!!
The Francesinha coma is a common symptom after eating a full francesinha :)
"Francesinha Coma" é muito booom!!! 😂😂😂😂
Yes, i usually need a nap after one lol
Yes brother
OK... I know that we are all here for the food and travel. But, I just got to say the cinematography is just spot on! From drone shots, panning, close ups to panoramic it just was so well done. Not only did this episode make me hungry and long for a visit to Portugal but, it please my sense of art. Man! I gotta say those Harris's are indeed a talented group of people! Obrigado! (the only word I know other than "oi" )
Viewers should know that the meats used in a Francesinha vary from restaurant to restaurant. And if this looks slightly similar to a Croque Madame or Croque Monsieur, it's because the Francesinha is Porto's version of those famous French sandwiches. Hence, Francesinha or "little French one." Had one when I visited Portugal...quite tasty indeed.
It was a Portuguese immigrant in France that invented the francesinha.
But the francesinha is 1000x better and I tried both many times.
Porto is a highly underrated city in Portugal. More people should go. The Francesinha sandwich should be on restaurant menus in America.
Porto is without a doubt one of, if not the best, place to live in the world, we have everything you would want while maintaining the appeal of a smaller historic city, has a river and sea, weather is very balanced and people are incredibly friendly... also Portugal as a whole is one of the safest country’s in the world, always a big plus
And there is so much more of Portugal to see. You need to come back.
Americans: The Philly cheesesteak is the best sandwich in the world.
Portuguese: Segura minha cerveja que eu vou monstra como se faz.
Anytime you want portuguese classes ;) be my guest!
@@Klovicevic thank you/obrigado.
thejompi you did well..
Ao menos usa a cerveja para o molho !
a francesinha não é uma sandes! é uma francesinha!
5 episodes about Portuguese food and no Bacalhau at all? I'm appalled.
Please get Iz to do another series, this is awesome!
OPEN LETTER TO EATER: Give Iz a substantial raise and make sure you make her an offer for 10 more seasons that she cannot refuse
This series is so awesome! I never knew how beautiful Portugal was. I feel utterly transported there every time I watch it and the food looks absolutely amazing. One of my new favorite things on all of RUclips.
i loved this video, you actually walked around the city and felt it, ofc you will always miss a couple spots or food to try with such restricted time but you actually walked around and tried things, love it.
little tip: You can ask for extra beer sauce!
I loved this Portugal series. I miss portugal!
Iz you did such a great job! I love it
This whole family and series are awesome! More please!

Oh and you went to Santiago!
Good for you, guys, I'm happy that you loved it here!
I totally loved this series! It’s the best part of the Eater channel 😊
Excellente, excellent job. We will all be missing you in Portugal
You missed the most important place to see in Porto, the Caves do Vinho do Porto. You must visit another time!
This video literally made me want to go to Portugal 🇵🇹 wow good video!
I loved this series!! Iz you did such an amazing job!! Traveling with family while also working is not a small feat! I’m from a city really close to Porto, Braga, if you ever go back you should visit it! Also I love your outfits and your kids look so cute in theirs too! Where do you find such cute clothes!
Absolutely loved this video!!! Travel + food vids never disappoint me...but this was exquisite 🤤 10,000days sounds about right

no!
Oh man I miss the Francesinhas so much. It's been 9 years already, have to go back, now with the family.
All those drone shots make your videos so much more beautiful! ♥️
Such a cute video and family!! Makes me want to visit Porto and try the sandwich.
You should have gone to Guimaraes, where Portugal was born. Pretty beautiful town.
Speaking as a Father of a 3 yr old I am just saying the family outtakes must be comedy gold...
I could taste those french fries... best potatoes in Europe... great walkthrough of Porto - you do an amazing job... I thi k ir helps because you love to eat lol... you should do a supercut of all the pasteis de natas you ate... that's what I did, because I was stuffing one in my mouth at all times 😆
Oh, my. You had me already and then you said “gravy.” Then pasteis de nata!!! 😍😱❤️❤️❤️
Again, I can relate so much with your vídeos in this series: the decisions you make, the food you eat, the places you go and the family rush, its unbelievable. We even share the same addiction on egg tarts from Manteigaria. Last Sunday I went to taste one, I can remember eating 3 but the bill said 6! We need therapy...
Totally changed my mind about Porto! Will go here too after Lisbon, then! Thank you for showing this.
Rahadianto Putra it’s a beautiful city. Don’t miss it. It’s my favourite place to go in Portugal after Lisbon.
I love how the only thing in focus is the person eating the food. Not the food, but the host. When it is in focus, it's just 1 sec repeating cuts. Awesome stuff here.
yummmmm!! Looks amazing!! I can't wait for more episodes!! :D
actual family goals
Live this video! Love Iz and her family!
"8,000, thats ridiculous"
hold my beer!
Basically only missing a zero there
What fun... you guys are AWESOME... thanks for sharing.
As an avid watcher of Travel and Food shows here on RUclips I've always wondered why there isn't much done from Portugal. Thanks for this series it was very interesting.
From a local, Portuguese and tour guide, u went to the most touristic place to eat Francesinha . For future people visiting us try this one where I only go to eat Francesinha: Café D. Amélia in Gaia city.
Thank you for visiting us! Cheers!!!
Porto name comes from Portus in Latin ( as Porto was a Roman Empire harbour) which means cruises Port or Harbour :) hope that u had Port Wine ;)
It looked like it was.
I loved the series! Thanks for introducing me to Portugal
Just came from Porto last week! Really beautiful city. And I also tried the Francesinha & Pastel de Nata!
Hahaha -- "...just as good as I remember " -- says you (minute 3:28) after eating your seventh pastel de nata of the day. I love it! And those "Francesinhas" (I'm nearly embarrassed to say) -- had me absolutely mouthwatering just by looking at them... (Man, I need to get one of those in my tummy!)
You were in one of my favorite areas of Portugal, but you need to spend more time north (Minho) and east (Alto Douro) of Porto, next time if you want to truly immerse yourselves in the gastronomic traditions of that area of the country.
Great editing, choice of music, and presentation style, as per usual. Keep it up!
Can you imagine the shots she would take at Viana do Castelo?! She really needs to return to Portugal.
@@margaridaferreira8029 "They" -- they're a family! But I agree: Viana is very pretty, but so is all the North, including Galicia, my kind of beauty; but in fairness, the whole country is pretty special!
@@miguelcoelho3877 they are a family, but this is her work.
Wait, your husband is the Vox borders guy?? I love his repprting
redflamelcd 👋👋
@@johnnyharris Shakira vid is great man. More music stuff!

I love how you always get a snack a little bit after breakfast. YAY for SECOND BREAKFAST haha!

I am flippin loving this series. The Harris's are my new favorite power couple.
Thanks for your amazing work

Glad you liked Portugal :) Still, there's a lot more to see!
Thanks for showing me the ropes. Love to go there some day.

My birth city!! Cant wait to be there in the summer!!!
OBRIGADA POR GOSTARES DA CIDADE DO PORTO OS PORTUENSES ADORAM OUVIR ISSO VOLTAI SEMPRE E SEJAM FELIZES.
Anyone recognized Johnny Harris from Vox Borders series?
I'm proud to say that I live in these beautiful city 😍
Linda e cara, porra.
You need to get the prego at cafe Santiago when you are back!!! Love Porto..its hands down one of my favourite cities in the world.
I LOVE YOU AND I LOVE YOUR FAMILY AND WHY IS THIS SERIES OVER?!?!??! also, where did you get your romper? Very cute.
After watching spiderman into the spiderverse (again). I just cant shake the felling that u 2 just like watching gwen and peter parker decide to married and have child. Life happily and now enjoy vacation in portugal.
Love Porto! Wonderfull city!
These short episodes need to be longer!
Um concelho, beba o cafe depois da nata.Para quem nao esta habituado adocica a boca. Enjoy Portugal!!
That looks so good. If poutine was a sandwich that would probably be it.
I would probably be in a food coma after eating that francesinha sandwich, looks delicious 🙌
It is mate... It is
You would be. It’s nap time after eating one 😂
Ok first this woman drove me crazy. Now I love her. She gets a little energy and whammo, she is great. This series has me going to Portagual next fall. Thank you crazy kid eating family. I can't wait. Wait you don't eat kids..lol.
Thanks so much for your video! They're awesome and you guys have such a wicked sense of humor! LOL. You've motivated me to explore Portugal by car and foot. I saw another video and they said that renting a car wasn't worth it since the parking fee is so high ($25+ for a day?). Is this true?
Next time you should try the south of the country as well, great food and great landscapes ^^
I love Porto. Tough to find a good beer there to go with the francesinha though.
Hey, I live there for a considerable part of the year (the other place where I live is Pico Island, Azores). If you get back and need someone to show you around (specially specific spots not that well known to foreigners) just say something!
Know i understand...allways surching for food, it s a reflect when you are a maratonist with childrens on the back...in vacation
Thank you 😋
Those kids are adorable
Portugal ❤️
Francesinha! Porto ☀️
Iz, if you like the pasteis de nata, you should definitely try the "Chinese version" of it: Dan tat or egg tart. You can buy them in bakeries/cake shops in China towns.
I really want to do that challenge with you guys. Eat a thousand of them!!
PORTO, MY BIRTHCITY
Not a good idea to watch this at 1 am. My tummy is rumbling now.
Now I want a francesinha
there are VAST swathes of waistline america which would LOVE the Francesinha. That plus not really needing to leave the confines of english, how are they not ALL in Portugal?!
Iz a food mood lmao 😂
My city! LINDA!
Nice drone shots
O Porto is a perfect city!!!!!
Wooooooooooooow! Goodness gracious! I need one or... 8000 of the burger.
Another road trip, Iz? =)))))))))
Have been to Porto twice and will go back again soon! What is the drone you are using to film you overhead videos?
I dug this video. However, how can you do a culinary tour of Porto and and not drink Port?
U got that right!!!!
welcome to my city :)
Wow Iz thank you so much for your Portugal Videos, we traveling there in just over a month and your videos are just what I needed, we will most probably follow same path as you guys. Pity a couple of the places you visited that looked great are now closed, must be Covid! Who did you rent a car from? We are a family of 4 like you however my little ones are not so little, they 16 and 13. Oh final note the other part that makes watching you videos worthwhile is you a smoking hot mom! ;-)
4:20 that bridge was designed by mr Eiffel
