Preaching holiness with positivity, not condemnation. 23. September 2014 um 11:51 Yes! The Son has set us free indeed from slavery to sin (John 8:31-36, Romans 6)! We have been provided a way of escape in EVERY temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13)! We CAN put to death the deeds of the Body by the Spirit (Romans 8:13). How is it that you say, ‘You will become free’?” Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." Romans 6 key sections: "How can we who died to sin still live in it?" God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." Romans 8:13 "For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live." Galatians 5:16 "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh." Titus 2:11-14 "For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works."

Brother Mike passed away years ago (2016 I believe), But if I may, that “New Apostolic” teaching should be avoided. It is a money maker and seeks to elevate certain “super Christians” above others and is deceptive by using and embracing unbiblical practices and ideas. Peace to you.
Romans 8: "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death." Jesus paid our price on the cross, He knew we were unable to brake free from sins grasp. We will always struggle in the flesh while we remain on earth, but for those who believe Jesus, we can be assured that on the day we come before Him, we will be declared Righteous, not guilty, not because of our works but because of His: Eph 2:8-9
I'm afraid he is. I listened to a lot of Paul Washer in the past but if you really study these scriptures Mike references for yourself and then go back to Paul Washers teaching, a LOT of false doctrine. Please study and discern. MOST of the preachers on RUclips and internet preach a false doctrine not biblical.
Mike went home to be with the Lord on October 2, 2016. I will pray for you... for you to keep your eyes on Jesus. For you to keep growing in the grace and knowledge of him. Keep drawing close to God! Stay humble with childlike faith. Keep yourself in the love of God 💟 I recommend listening to the scriptures. RUclips channel The Two Preachers has the book of Psalms and Proverbs... keep it on, it’ll build your faith. God bless and keep you!
What about Romans 5, 18+19? "18 Therefore as by the offence of ONE judgment came upon ALL MEN to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. 19 For as by ONE MAN'S disobedience MANY were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous."
were does the passion come from? its from our sinful nature! Jesus has given us power to overcome our sinful nature daily, by walking in the spirit and not walking in the sinful nature! God is spirit and those who worship him must worship him in spirit and truth! Jesus no one can enter the kingdom of heaven unless you are born again! You are complicating every thing! we have the ability to sin, because we have a sinful nature!
Hello sir, I completely agree with everything you are saying. Let me ask you this, do you think Romans 7 is also describing Paul's struggle with transitioning from the Law to the new covenant? Read Romans 7 again in that mindset and let me know what you think. Is Paul describing what trying to follow the law does?
Seth I just saw your comment since I've been going back to listening to all of Mike's teachings that are so edifying and look at the comments people leave. With a sorrowful heart Mike passed away back in 2016, He would've responded to your comment. Have a blessed day
Elwood M. Buel Hey bud are we capable of regenerating our own hearts? I agree that we are able to believe the gospel and call on God for repentance, but the act of regeneration is done by God. The new birth is an act of God not man
My friend believes Christ already came and satan has been released and is in his thousand year reign now. That our history has been changed. There is a focus on all the old buildings some remain many have been torn down. She believes these buildings were built during the time of christs return. This belief seems to be a craze right now.
In Hebrew the body or BEFAR, Is our given flesh vessel. The inner being is comprosed up of supernatural aspects called NESHEMAH", all aspects. Soul thoughts spirit you were given, desires, hearts intentions, thoughts, your WILL. Then your outr man is called NEFESH" , the entire mortal coil organic matter that manifests spiritual deeds" that turn old into dust it was was taken from. Your visit here is a short temporary trip. Walk circumspectly obey the Torah principles and Live eternally in Christ. SIN and get perdition is both either YOUR CHOICE! Chose life!
I greatly appreciate these teachings. I am still trying to discern the truth in all of these issues, and wonder if you could help clarify something. You mentioned Romans 7:9 but I missed your explanation of “sin revived”. It seems “sin” here had to be alive, then dead in order to “revive.” Also, I would love to hear your explanation of Romans 7:17. These issues need to be better thought out by believers, and I’m thankful to you for doing your part.
Mike died in 2016, I am also seeking for the truth. I think we will find the truth reading the scriptures with an open heart and mind while asking our Blessed Lord Yeshua for wisdom (so the Father can be glorified by the Son) to understand the scriptures.
Romans 6 defines who We are. Either slaves to Sin unto death Or slaves to Obedience leading To righteousness. Romans 7 This is the old man, The immature Christian At the very best, But, This is the old man. He has ZERO fruits, No self control, Evil is in him At work. Romans 8 is the new Man, Dead to self And alive in Christ.
@@acts413biblecollege8 rom 7:9 for I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came sin revived, I died. It is best to first note, Paul is speaking about himself prior to knowing christ. Without the law sin is not imputed(rom5:13) eg. A police officer can not charge you for something where there is no law. For instance, you can't use a cellphone while driving. Even though it was wrong, you could probably kill someone this way, the courts had to pass law to stop it. And as this law has been passed people take chances of texting hoping they don't get caught. So Paul states when the law came, sin took an occasion through the law and killed him. Because if we keep the whole law yet fail in one point the punishment is death.james2:10 So Paul says with the law, sin was always present, he did things he didn't want to do. Paul was referring to himself before being set free from bondage of sin through Jesus Christ. Versev5&6 for when we were in the flesh(under the law of sin and death, the lust of sins, which were awoken by the law, worked in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. But now we are delivered from the law of sin and death, where we were held prisoners, that now we should serve God in the newness of spirit.
Romans 8, "IF the spirit who raised Christ lives me, He will raise our mortal bodies..." can also mean the actual Resurrection of our mortal bodies at the Second Coming, yes? Mike, Can you give an answer to this one if you have it?
The first resurrection is when in repentance we Crucify the flesh, die to sin and are raised to newness of life in Christ, Rom6:4-6, 'Buried with Him in Baptism', this is the baptism of repentance, Mk1:4, Acts13:24, 19:4, Since we serve Him in our Mortal bodies, Gal2:20, and were 'dead in our sins' we must be raised from the dead (our spiritual death) to Newness of Spiritual life, Acts3:19, the refreshing our our spirit. That's why Rev20:6 says 'Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power,' We reign with Christ Now, not in some future Millennial Kingdom. This Gospel age is our reign.
cbattles Our bodies are going to be resurrected. Jesus was resurrected and we will be resurrected also. The Bible specifically tells us so. And scripture is critical of those who say the 'resurrection is past' and destroy the faith of many.
If we can't put God first ahead of our appetites, then we have made an idol out of our appetites. Seems like you are saying we need help to do this -- from the Holy Spirit. How does that work? If we were once freed from sin but no longer are, then what.
Yes but with the ability to choose right or wrong and they chose to transgress, which is how sin entered the world and Satan became the “god” of the world. We sin because Adam opened the door, not because we have a “sin nature”. Does this make sense? We have the ability to choose.
I disagree with you teacher. You aren't preaching the word of God, unfortunately. We are all born with (and into) sin. The SIN NATURE is within us all from conception. We are not sinners because we sin; we sin because we are sinners. We are not born good, that's why we needed (or need) a savior. If man could be righteous by himself, Jesus would never have come to die. Sorry, you have corrupted the word.
Open the Bible and READ IT. Mike preaches straight from the Bible. The Bible is the word of God. Your post indicates to me you really never have done what Mike always urges people to do; "Go get your Bible, blow the dust off, open it and dig deep." Christ didn't die on the cross so you could continue to sin with never-ending, willful impunity. Continue to listen to Mike's videos and look up the scriptures he gives in his talks.
He is not claiming to preach the gospel in this video. He is explaining about the flesh and the spirit. I urge you to examine your own beliefs; how you arrived at your understanding (for most of us it was false teaching), and humble yourself before God and ask Him to reveal the truth to you. Study the scriptures without preconceived notions. Peace to you.
Finally, a man who Preaches the Truth of God's Word!

Yes! The Son has set us free indeed from slavery to sin (John 8:31-36, Romans 6)! We have been provided a way of escape in EVERY temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13)! We CAN put to death the deeds of the Body by the Spirit (Romans 8:13). If we walk according to the Spirit we WILL NOT gratify the desires of the flesh (Galatians 5:16)! My Father has power to bring this victory to life in my mortal flesh (Titus 2:11-14)!
But do we believe these scripture truths? Do we say "yes" to them, or do we lower the bar?
We can encourage each other to walk in victory over sin without using condemnation. All we need is scripture and experience!
John 8:31-36 "So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” They answered him, “We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, ‘You will become free’?”
Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."
Romans 6 key sections: "How can we who died to sin still live in it?" "We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. For one who has died has been set free from sin." "For sin will have no dominion over you" "having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness" "now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life"
1 Corinthians 10:13 "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Romans 8:13 "For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live."
Galatians 5:16 "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh."
Titus 2:11-14 "For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works."

[NOWHERE does the Bible even imply
that "the flesh" is -- in and of itself --
a "sin" ... but rather ... it makes it
clear that ... *'choosing' to "indulge"*
in one's 'natural' desires (which are
neither 'depraved' nor 'wrong' in and
of themselves)... *can lead one to sin*.
.
It is the PAGAN teaching of GNOSTICISM
that teaches the false-doctrine that -- the
human-body is, in and of itself, created by
God as being wrong and is 'a sin' itself.
.
QUOTE:
.
“Gnosticism believes that sin is
the substance of the body,
which is inherited at conception,
so that man is born sinful
or with a sinful nature.
.
The Early Church, on the other hand,
taught that sin was a free choice of the
will, which is originated by the individual.
.
The Gnostics taught that man was sinful
by nature, while the Early Church
taught that man was sinful by choice.
.
It was referring to these Gnostic groups
that [the apostle] John wrote,
“They went out from us,
but they were not of us;
for if they had been of us,
they would no doubt have
continued with us: but they
went out that they might be
made manifest that
they were not all of us”
(1 John. 2:19).

.
We can see then that the
teachings of the Gnostics were
condemned in the Scriptures.”]

Amen very true.
Thankyou rev mike, I have needed. Your teachings you are very Good in opening eyes. What do you think of New Apostolic church?
Brother Mike passed away years ago (2016 I believe),
But if I may, that “New Apostolic” teaching should be avoided.
Paul Washer's teaching has been amazing in my walk. To say he is a false teacher is in error.
Mike pray for me please?
Mike went home to be with the Lord on October 2, 2016. I will pray for you... for you to keep your eyes on Jesus. For you to keep growing in the grace and knowledge of him. Keep drawing close to God! Stay humble with childlike faith. Keep yourself in the love of God 💟
I recommend listening to the scriptures. RUclips channel The Two Preachers has the book of Psalms and Proverbs... keep it on, it’ll build your faith.
God bless and keep you!
This is so confusing to me
What about Romans 5, 18+19?
Have a blessed day
Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry to hear that. Thank you for letting me know.
You're very welcome ... His web site is full of all his work have you seen this yet .... www.standingthegap.org/
Elwood M. Buel Hey bud are we capable of regenerating our own hearts? I agree that we are able to believe the gospel and call on God for repentance, but the act of regeneration is done by God. The new birth is an act of God not man
Elwood M. Buel If you think you regenerated yourself, you're not saved or justified..
What you think about the guy amazing facts
If we have dried up like the 5 betrothed virgins Jesus taught about -- what can we do? How do we get our spiritual life back again?
If the word
Is not as sweet
And wonderful
As the sweet of
The honey comb,
Get on your belly
And groan.

Romans 6 defines who
We are.
Either slaves to
Sin unto death
Or slaves to
Obedience leading
To righteousness.
Romans 7
This is the old man,
The immature Christian
At the very best,
But,
This is the old man.
He has ZERO fruits,
No self control,
Evil is in him
At work.
Romans 8 is the new
Man,
Dead to self
And alive in Christ.
Kalman Dittrich Thanks. Any specific explanation of what is meant by ch 7:9?
@@cbattles True. I think Mike had second things right, but his amillenialism was wrong.
If we can't put God first ahead of our appetites, then we have made an idol out of our appetites. Seems like you are saying we need help to do this -- from the Holy Spirit. How does that work? If we were once freed from sin but no longer are, then what.
But didn't Adam and Eve were created with a clean Spirit?
Your post indicates to me you really never have done what Mike always urges people to do; "Go get your Bible, blow the dust off, open it and dig deep."
Christ didn't die on the cross so you could continue to sin with never-ending, willful impunity.
Continue to listen to Mike's videos and look up the scriptures he gives in his talks.
This is false teaching.
Very distorted gospel
He is not claiming to preach the gospel in this video. He is explaining about the flesh and the spirit.
I urge you to examine your own beliefs; how you arrived at your understanding (for most of us it was false teaching), and humble yourself before God and ask Him to reveal the truth to you.
Study the scriptures without preconceived notions.
Peace to you.
