Baroque music has been passed down. Since musicians learn the piece...often without dancers....they are used to hearing the pieces WAY too quickly for a stately dance in a ballroom. The musician(s) need to SLOW DOWN. Next a minuet is a dance in 3/4 time. Look that UP!
I think it is reasonable to assume that The Bath Minuet Company know what a minuet is. The clue is in the name.They won't need to look it up. They are not actually demonstrating a minuet here.
